We enjoyed our stay at Zafiro Tropic. The hotel is close to the beautiful beach at a pleasant 10 minute walk from the port with its many shops and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and offered an excellent level of service. Rooms were clean and provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately our room was at the end of a long corridor and located above the laundry area and bins, so we found it to be rather noisy in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings. This would likely only be a problem in a few rooms and we were unlucky to be allocated one of them. The food at the buffet was very good at breakfast and good in the evenings. As with most buffets, we got a little bored of similar things each night. We often ate lunch at the bistro bar beside the pool, which offered a great variety of food and drinks. The hotel is mainly for families, but we felt that the big swimming pools were all too deep for our 7 year old who is not a confident swimmer. There is a splash pool for younger kids and a small pool with an inflatable which is often very busy. The evening entertainment was very good, with daily quizzes and different live shows every night, along with a variety of children’s activities. We visited at the beginning of July and felt that there were many guests of different nationalities and not too many English speaking guests. This made it difficult to socialise with other guests and for our daughter to make friends. Overall, we had a lovely time at the Zafiro Tropic and would recommend it to friends and family. We would stay in another Zafiro group hotel in the future, but would hope to meet more English speaking guests.
