Stayed 5 nights at Shantara Resort. Only a 5 minute stroll to 4 mile beach & cafes.
Walk into main part of town was 10 minutes. 2 pools, very quiet resort.
Only downside was the aircon it blew straight onto the bed & couldn’t move the direction of air so when in the bed you were freezing.

I’m compelled to write a review..before we have even left..and it’s good…so far, great room, very clean, great facilities, and very close to the bars and Resturants, unless of course you are a lazy bastard….but my story is even better,I bought some steaks to put on the resort bbq, but when I tried bbq I was informed that they had ran out of gas, they had ordered gas refill, but the gas people hadn’t turned up…so, they offered us a room with cooking facilities to use, including the room itself, said we could even stay the night if we wanted too…now that is service…so thank you guys, you went way beyond my expectations…I hope that this inspires others to stay here!

The Shantara is a nice, clean resort which is quiet and enjoyable. It is very close to shops without being to close to attract the surrounding noise.

Had a lovely stay at Shantara Resort and would visit again. We went in off-season so it was quiet and often got the pool to ourselves! The room was a great size, nice and cool and an excellent amount of storage space so you can actually unpack your toiletries and other knicknacks. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the resort is spotless. I recommend paying for the lower level room so you can walk straight into the pool, we were on level 1 and had FOMO for the lower rooms. The only negative for me was that the bed and pillows weren't that comfortable. Also, our stay did not include turndown service, you need to pay extra for that - if you have a long-ish stay, make sure you keep that in mind.

Shantara Resort was lovely to stay at. The receptionists were very pleasant and gave us a map of the local area. The room was very clean, with the air conditioner already on when we walked in. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the pool. Easy access down to the pool and lift access to an underground car park which had free parking. There were also gym and spa services, but we didn't use these during our stay. Overall an excellent experience.

I spent a week here as part of some solo travelling around Australia. It’s super quiet - no screaming kids and the whole place is very relaxing. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and the location into town is excellent. Fully recommend this for a peaceful stay - thanks to all there for your help x
