Heights hotel is a beautiful spot in Portland, nice location and perfect scenery, not very far from the sea,hotel is nice but shame we had to stay in twin room would have been a perfect stay if we could have double bed

Hotel Heights was a beauty! Views of the sea from the heights of the Island! Beautiful spot!
We were greeted by Lynn, she was welcoming, warm and genuine and went above and beyond to help us out with checking in, local amenities and tour of hotel! Thank you Lynn!

A lovely friendly hotel with great views. The staff were all very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Clean and welcoming with comfortable bed. A great base to explore Portland and surrounding area

The hotel needs a serious update in the halls and passageways. There was a slight damp smell. Foyer and restaurant good. Non of the bedrooms have phones (have been removed). If you don’t have a mobile (as per my 89 year old brother) he felt alone. I spoke to the Mngr about this as there are no phones in the hall for an emergency. He said it wasn’t a legal requirement! Really . What if someone was taken ill and needed help? Some rooms have a great panoramic view of Chesil Beach. My room at the back had a 50 foot aerial outside, but charged at the same price as the room with a view. Very disappointed overall.

A great location with wonderful views of the ‘tombolo’. Dinner in the bar or bistro was good with very generous portions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 2 of us had a ground floor room with a small patio and shared area with tables and chairs.

The major attraction of this hotel is the view of Portland Harbour & Weymouth Bay, which is stunning. However, the rooms and corridors are in desperate need of refurbishment. The breakfast was complimentary and ok but I’ve certainly had better. Overall, ok for one night but no more.
