There appeared to be a misunderstanding between the hotel and Trip.com as we booked the stay with breakfast stated as included but the hotel reception said they had not provided breakfast for a long time, since Covid19 started. They needed to sort this between themselves. However, the manager was gracious to refund us the cost of breakfast at a nearby cafe.
The location of the hotel was near to a number of bus stops for different directions.
The view from our room window was very poor, just an internal air well.

The Mark Spencer is beautiful and comfortable. The staff seem to truly enjoy their work and were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

My sister broke her toe on a bench strangely placed at bottom of bed nearest the door as she visited bathroom in middle of night.

Comfortable, friendly hotel in a great location—the university, shopping, art museum, Powells and great food. It’s an old hotel, but comfortable and clean. Staff is super helpful. They even offered a free glass of eat the end of the day.
