Extremely Disappointing Experience at Hotel Le Agavi I recently had a disappointing experience with Hotel Le Agavi and wanted to share my concerns with potential future guests. During my honeymoon trip, a rockfall caused the closure of the main road to the hotel. Despite numerous calls to the hotel on June 17, the front desk provided no helpful guidance or viable alternatives. Instead, I was told to stay in Sorrento for the night and discuss the situation the next day. This left me and my spouse stranded, despite having rented a car to carry our luggage for a three-week tour of Europe. The alternative routes suggested by the hotel were impractical for an international traveler unfamiliar with the local language and terrain. I chose a 5-star hotel expecting comprehensive support, but felt abandoned in navigating this ordeal alone. The hotel’s response showed a lack of empathy and understanding of the difficulties faced by tourists. When I requested a call to clarify the miscommunications, the management refused, preferring written communication. This hindered effective resolution. The General Manager was particularly unhelpful and dismissive, making the situation more frustrating. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, including asking for their policies on cancellations and refunds, my requests were ignored. Their inflexible stance and refusal to cooperate demonstrated poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. For anyone considering a stay at Hotel Le Agavi, be warned: the management’s response to unforeseen circumstances was inadequate, and their customer service fell below the standards expected of a 5-star establishment. My honeymoon experience was significantly impacted by this hotel’s lack of support and professionalism.
