Hotel le Agavi

Hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location . Staff excellent. The restaurant is great but fine dining isn’t something I would do for 4 nights and there’s only room service as an option. The other (beach bar) was closed. Finally it is advertised as having air conditioning. This is only set to heating until May so there was no air conditioning.

When you enter the main gate you’ll feel like you’re in weird hood but once you enter the hotel you’ll be in paradise. The views from everywhere in this hotel are to die for. Waking up to the sunrise and the lake was amazing. The service, food and attention was absolutely incredible. The only thing missing is an elevator from the ground level to bring your bags down to the reception. This is the only place I would stay from now on when visiting Positano. If you can afford it book it !! You won’t be disappointed.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Hotel Le Agavi I recently had a disappointing experience with Hotel Le Agavi and wanted to share my concerns with potential future guests. During my honeymoon trip, a rockfall caused the closure of the main road to the hotel. Despite numerous calls to the hotel on June 17, the front desk provided no helpful guidance or viable alternatives. Instead, I was told to stay in Sorrento for the night and discuss the situation the next day. This left me and my spouse stranded, despite having rented a car to carry our luggage for a three-week tour of Europe. The alternative routes suggested by the hotel were impractical for an international traveler unfamiliar with the local language and terrain. I chose a 5-star hotel expecting comprehensive support, but felt abandoned in navigating this ordeal alone. The hotel’s response showed a lack of empathy and understanding of the difficulties faced by tourists. When I requested a call to clarify the miscommunications, the management refused, preferring written communication. This hindered effective resolution. The General Manager was particularly unhelpful and dismissive, making the situation more frustrating. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, including asking for their policies on cancellations and refunds, my requests were ignored. Their inflexible stance and refusal to cooperate demonstrated poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. For anyone considering a stay at Hotel Le Agavi, be warned: the management’s response to unforeseen circumstances was inadequate, and their customer service fell below the standards expected of a 5-star establishment. My honeymoon experience was significantly impacted by this hotel’s lack of support and professionalism.

Great location, very clean and cant beat the views. Staff and food were fabulous. Beach club and private water taxi to town is a plus. We will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a wedding locally. Great room, staff and facilities at the hotel. We would happily stay again!

This hotel should be on your list of places to stay. Every staff member was exceptional, friendly, helpful and made us feel appreciated. The hotel has views you can only dream of and the entire experience brought out emotions we had not expected. Absolutly breathtaking. The dining, amenities, views, rooms, grounds are all impeccable. The hotels location keeps you just outside the towns hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy everything in town. We were able to relax in luxury as well as take in all of the local flair and beauty. We cannot overstate the friendly service we received here. It has spectacular views, beautiful grounds, relaxing pool/beach area that makes you never want to leave.

The Le Agavi is the best in Positano. A stunning 5 star luxury hotel, perfectly located with spectacular views. The beautiful private beach is unique to this hotel that other 5 star hotels in Positano do not offer. The restaurants at Le Agavi are absolutely outstanding. Our beautiful hotel room had a large terrace overlooking the sea with breathtaking views. The landscape and the grounds were impeccably clean and sustainably designed. The fitness area was perfect and the spa was fantastic. The entire staff was polite, friendly, helpful and happy to accommodate us. I will never stay anywhere else in Positano. This hotel is truly a dream come true.

This was a great hotel with incredible views of Positano. Because this is one of the first hotels as you enter Positano, you have a view of the entire town from your room/hotel. The hotel is set up and down the entire cliff so you will either need to walk a lot of stairs or use the funicular. Our room was very spacious and had an incredible balcony overlooking the town. We ordered room-service one night (the restaurant was excellent) and were able to eat out on the balcony. This is one of 2 hotels that have their own dock so if you do a boat tour (which I would recommend) it is very convenient. Be sure to get a workout in at their outdoor covered gym that has some of the best views of the coast. They also have a great breakfast if you like pastries, with a bunch of different items. At the end of the trip, I had accidentally arranged for transportation to pick me and my wife up at 5pm instead of 5am and even at that time, the concierge was able to have a car come in 15 minutes so that we were able to make our train in Naples.

Wow! The views are breathtaking. Le Agavi Hotel exceeded my dream of going to Positano. The hotel is beautiful and so unique. The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. Sonia at the front desk helped us with transportation to our Path of the Gods hike and ferry to Capri. The hotel provides a shuttle into Positano and back. We had our anniversary dinner at Serra restaurant. We did the 7 course and wine tasting. Each course was a pleasant experience for our taste buds. The wines paired very well. It made our anniversary an extra special experience. The view!! The service was excellent. Stefano who we saw during breakfast also was a pleasure each day. The fresh made pastries and fruit. They make the eggs to order. We had a club sandwich at the pool bar that was one of the best we’ve had. Our last night we wanted a quick meal and we were able to sit on the balcony and had a delicious burger and fries. Sadly I don’t remember his name but he made it a wonderful experience. I normally try to go to different places but I would definitely come back if the opportunity comes up.
