Hotel Poseidon

The hotel room has a stunning view and the balcony is large enough. We enjoyed so much when sitting in the balcony. However it’s really expensive and you pay for the view. Also there were a lot of choices in breakfast and the environment is super nice. Since we stayed in the hotel early April and it was quiet and so we could enjoy so much in peaceful environment.

We just had the most amazing stay as a family of 5. The hotel is perfectly located at just the right elevation providing an easy walk down to the beach with unbelievable views. The hotel staff were so accomodating and the brand new beds were honestly incredible. Unfortunately we only had 1 night as a stopover and wished we stayed longer. Thanks to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable and to Lorenzo who served us drinks on the terrace overlooking those magical views.

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful lobby and room. Spotlessly clean. Excellent service all around. What a delightful experience! Be forewarned- it’s an arduous walk from the ferry. Give your baggage to the baggage service and start climbing- you’ll be glad you did!

This was the trip of a lifetime for my wife and myself. Celebrating a 28 year anniversary and our first trip to Italy. Our stay in Positano was going to be the last leg of our trip and I wanted it to be the most special stay of our vacation. If you look at past reviews like I do, the common thread about Hotel Poseidon is the people and the service. This is why I chose this hotel and the reviews were 100% correct. Beyond the perfect location, spectacular views, incredible restaurant and beautiful rooms was the very special family that owns it and the staff they entrust to running it. From the moment I first reached out to the hotel months ahead of our trip I knew I had chosen correctly. Responses to emails were not cut and paste but acknowledgements of our particular situation and how can they help to make it as special as possible. This care carried right into our stay. We were greeted by Fiorenzo at the front desk addressing our every room need, even surprising us with a very special room to help celebrate our anniversary milestone. Luca at the bar is so personable and at your service as soon as you enter the pool/bar area. Happy upcoming 25th wedding anniversary to Luca. Lorenzo at the pool read our minds the whole trip and knew just when we were thirsty. These are just a few names but every single staff member we met during our stay was nicer than the last. Always ready to meet or exceed any need you have. I cannot recommend a hotel more than I recommend hotel Poseidon. It has everything you would look for plus the management and staff that puts them above all else. Thank you Liliana and Margherita for coming through on your promise to make our anniversary special. You exceeded all expectations. Expect an email in a few months to book another stay next year!

An incredibly wonderful experience every step of the stay throughout the property! The food and service were exceptional, but the staff and ownership were warm, welcoming and so accommodating! The views were spectacular and picture perfect every day. We will return …. And not soon enough! Book it…you won’t regret it!

Simply perfect. That’s the best way to describe this wonderful boutique hotel. The service is fantastic. The location is great. You get a wonderful view of both the sea and the colorful buildings on the hillside. Obviously within walking distance of everything. Due to its location, our rooms did not have a view of the water, but the rooftop deck was mere steps away, and the view from there was spectacular. Rooms were nice. Included breakfast was great, including omelets made to order. Within hours of arrival they remembered your name. Highly, highly recommend.

Everything associated with our stay at Hotel Poseidon was exceptional. From the charisma of the driver who picked us up at the Naples airport, to the attention to detail of the charming front of the house staff, to the welcoming and familial atmosphere fostered by the management and ownership, we could not be more pleased that we chose to spend 4 nights in a Deluxe Junior Suite with our amazing new family at Hotel Poseidon (18-22 April 2024). To say this was a trip of a lifetime would be an understatement and our experience started in Positano at the beautifully appointed and elegantly manicured Poseidon. My wife and I saw a picture of the view from the hotel’s patio in 2006. We finally got to come and experience that view for ourselves and it is even more majestic than any picture can do justice – breathtaking. Our flight was delayed into Naples which was already getting in ‘late’. The hotel staff prepared a plate of ham and mozzarella and some baked pasta that they left at the bar for us to pick up when we finally arrived – Thanks Andrea! We had a dinner reservation at the hotel’s restaurant, Il Tridente, for which I required some assistance arranging a surprise – flowers and a card at the table before we arrived. Not only did they arrange for a large vase of lilies and roses, but they also sat us with the best view in the house. The meal was incredible (that review coming soon), the atmosphere romantic, and the service exceptional. I know others were involved, but grazie, Anna for being a part of our night! The concierge staff arranged several things for us as you would expect them to do but their awareness of a last-minute road closure prevented us from missing one of our bucket-list items - The Path of the Gods hike. Their quick actions in rebooking car and guide services saved us from missing one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous hike’s you’ll ever do. Grazie, Aldo and team! Due to the lockdown of most travel in 2020 and then a family medical emergency on our side in 2023, we planned and coordinated everything 3 times. The front desk staff handled all that chaos without blinking an eye – always responsive to my emails and offering all manner of assistance from across the pond. Grazie Marco and the front desk!! When we had to postpone our trip in 2023, we were beyond our window to receive a full refund on our room, but they graciously allowed us to cancel without penalty given the circumstances. The grace in handling all my requests was refreshing and their personal touches demonstrated a care for their clientele that was not expected though wholly appreciated. Grazie Margherita! The hotel is immaculate and beautiful and the service top notch. If we hadn’t gotten to know some of the staff/family that owns and runs this hotel, we would give it 5 stars, 10/10, 100, whatever the crème de la crème rates on your scale. But we did get to know some of the staff and by the time we left, we felt like family. Grazie mille, Liliana!

My mom and I booked a stay at Hotel Poseidon to visit Positano for the first time and were BLOWN away by our experience. The staff, hotel, views and food were nothing short of incredible. 10/10 if you're going to Positano don't stay anywhere else! It exceeded our expectations and we hope to be back again someday

We had a great week staying at the Hotel Poseidon. We stayed in a Funny Room which we loved. The terrace was huge and perfect for sitting out on and watching the world go by. All the food was delicious, including the two platters which we had in the bar area. Breakfast was plentiful and particularly enjoyable when we were able to sit outside on the terrace. All of the staff were very welcoming and attentive and we could not have asked for any better service whilst there. We would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to return.
