Everything associated with our stay at Hotel Poseidon was exceptional. From the charisma of the driver who picked us up at the Naples airport, to the attention to detail of the charming front of the house staff, to the welcoming and familial atmosphere fostered by the management and ownership, we could not be more pleased that we chose to spend 4 nights in a Deluxe Junior Suite with our amazing new family at Hotel Poseidon (18-22 April 2024). To say this was a trip of a lifetime would be an understatement and our experience started in Positano at the beautifully appointed and elegantly manicured Poseidon. My wife and I saw a picture of the view from the hotel’s patio in 2006. We finally got to come and experience that view for ourselves and it is even more majestic than any picture can do justice – breathtaking. Our flight was delayed into Naples which was already getting in ‘late’. The hotel staff prepared a plate of ham and mozzarella and some baked pasta that they left at the bar for us to pick up when we finally arrived – Thanks Andrea! We had a dinner reservation at the hotel’s restaurant, Il Tridente, for which I required some assistance arranging a surprise – flowers and a card at the table before we arrived. Not only did they arrange for a large vase of lilies and roses, but they also sat us with the best view in the house. The meal was incredible (that review coming soon), the atmosphere romantic, and the service exceptional. I know others were involved, but grazie, Anna for being a part of our night! The concierge staff arranged several things for us as you would expect them to do but their awareness of a last-minute road closure prevented us from missing one of our bucket-list items - The Path of the Gods hike. Their quick actions in rebooking car and guide services saved us from missing one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous hike’s you’ll ever do. Grazie, Aldo and team! Due to the lockdown of most travel in 2020 and then a family medical emergency on our side in 2023, we planned and coordinated everything 3 times. The front desk staff handled all that chaos without blinking an eye – always responsive to my emails and offering all manner of assistance from across the pond. Grazie Marco and the front desk!! When we had to postpone our trip in 2023, we were beyond our window to receive a full refund on our room, but they graciously allowed us to cancel without penalty given the circumstances. The grace in handling all my requests was refreshing and their personal touches demonstrated a care for their clientele that was not expected though wholly appreciated. Grazie Margherita! The hotel is immaculate and beautiful and the service top notch. If we hadn’t gotten to know some of the staff/family that owns and runs this hotel, we would give it 5 stars, 10/10, 100, whatever the crème de la crème rates on your scale. But we did get to know some of the staff and by the time we left, we felt like family. Grazie mille, Liliana!
