Small room, good location, poor breakfast with only 2-3 fruits, no almond or avocado or forest fruits which is basic items, thus breakfast need to improve. Also, i recommend to add a nice gym.

The location of the hotel is average, you need to walk for a while to get to the bus station, and it is about 1.2 kilometers away from the subway station. There are many restaurants nearby, and supermarkets are only located next to the bus station.

The hotel was good - good breakfast selection only downside the bar wasn’t open - we would have picked a different hotel if known as we like a drink in the hotel before going to bed - staff were so friendly and helpful especially reception staff who were very appreciative of my greeting in Czech - by the way Prague is amazing!!! Beware of rip off taxi drivers at the airport

Hotel staff are very helpful and polite. . We arrived almost midnight and were given a room on the third floor in a quiet corner which was perfect. Room and sheets were clean. Wifi connection was poor in the room but great downstairs at reception😊. The 3rd bed wasn’t made on arrival but thereafter service was excellent. Good value for money for a lovely boutique hotel. Thank you to all staff at Amethyst hotel.

The room was supposed to be a deluxe room with a separate bed (which turn out to be a chair sofa bed). This was very disappointing! The air conditioning do not work and it was terribly hot at night so we didn’t sleep well. The breakfast was woeful! Some positive points were the hotel was clean and had a great shower. The hotel was also very easy to have as a base as it’s close to the tram system. If we return we would stay elsewhere!

My friend and I stayed in twin beds which were really comfortable. The room was clean and spacious. It was just under 30mins walk into town however it was a safe and nice area so we didn’t mind. It also wasn’t too far from the metro which we used a couple times. There was a tea and coffee station however there were no milk sachets for tea which was disappointing. I had a couple left over from getting tea on the plane but for a 4 * hotel , you’d expect to be provided that. The breakfast was satisfactory, with enough options. Nothing exciting but it did the job. The lobby staff were friendly enough, however the breakfast staff could have been more helpful as when I asked where things were they simply pointed and ran off still leaving me a bit lost. We also had to pay a deposit for the mini bar which was frustrating, however the money did return to me promptly. It was a decent stay, and did the job for our trip to Prague.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Room was modern , clean and had air con. Beds really comfy and hotel was quiet at night, we got great sleep. Safe deposit box included in room which was good. Plenty of choice at breakfast, cereals, breads, fruits, cold meats and cheeses, hot sausages, eggs, rice pudding , juices , hot drinks, all self serve in a bright breakfast room with plenty of seats. Location is in a laid back quiet residential area, only 5 mins walk to nearest tram stop and a 10 min walk to metro. Easy to get anywhere in the city from this hotel. Mini Market right next door and several local restaurants, shops and pavement cafes nearby. We had a later flight, the hotel happily store your luggage at no extra cost, which was great as allowed us to spend a few more hours in Old Town shopping before our flight home. Would stay here again, fantastic place.

I booked this as a Top Secret hotel at a very good price and then read some of the reviews and started to panic a little. I emailed the hotel the night before to request an early check-in and received a prompt reply saying that this wouldn't be a problem. We checked in very quickly and were very pleasantly suprised with the room - clean, tidy, quiet, roomy and decent shower - what more can you ask? The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us discover Prague, even checking things on the internet for us. The location of the hotel isn't central but there are some amazing restaurants and bars around that were exceptional and very reasonably priced; we just factored the small walk into our plans. There is a restaurant in the hotel which looked lovely but we wanted to explore. It took about 10 minutes to walk to Wenselas Square but is near to a tram and metro stop if you don't fancy the walk. I was personally pleased to be in a quite location without a stag or hen party in sight! The breakfast is fairly basic but fresh, cooked perfectly and there's plenty available as staff were constantly stocking everything back up. All in all we had an amazing weekend and were very pleased that we'd booked this hotel. My one recommendation is that you take a map with you when you go out as the streets look similar so it's easy to lose your bearings!

A really nice and friendly hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful with my error in booking a twin room rather than double, moved us with no additional charge. Breakfasts are great and get you set for the day. The walk into old town takes about 20 minutes or take the metro Green line and I 3 stops you are by the Charles Bridge in the centre of everything. Metro station is a 5 minute walk. We would highly recommend this hotel. There is also a vibrant restaurant scene around the motel which are far cheaper than in the centre.

Hotel Ametyst is in a quieter residential part of town which is just a 10 min walk from the nearest Metro station and in easy reach of many shops, cafes and good quality restaurants. I’d particularly recommend Ngo, A Vietnamese café around 9 mins walk away. There is a small convenience store next door with an impressive range of cold drinks and snacks. From the Metro station, the whole city is at your disposal and it’s a very easy system to navigate. It’s also not far to walk to Wenceslas Square. The hotel lobby has a bit of a dated feel about it but we were warmly greeted by reception staff and checked in. This did take a little while and much of it was done on paper which was a bit surprising. Be aware there is a city tourist tax you have to pay the hotel (we were not aware of this) of approx. CZK50 per person per day, so factor this into your budget. We were also charged a ‘mini bar’ deposit of about CZK2000. This was quite a hit to our pre-planned budget before our holiday had even started and another charge we weren’t aware of in advance. We had no plans at all to use the mini bar so this seemed excessive for that reason and I’d have rather have had the mini bar removed from the room. Maybe it was just a general hotel deposit but just badged as being about the mini bar or maybe we misunderstood that – anyway, just to be aware to also factor this into your budget. The deposit, as promised was returned to our credit card the day after we returned home. Our room was on the 5th floor and one of only 2 rooms in that particular corridor. We didn’t once hear our immediate neighbours or anyone else and had a lovely quiet stay. The room was nicely decorated, had a huge comfortable bed and a nice modern bathroom with walk in shower. Housekeeping tended to be a bit random in that some days we didn’t get a loo roll top up or fresh towels (didn’t need them every day anyway), and we didn’t get any further tea/coffee top ups past the first day. We were however left a surprise complimentary gift one day which was really kind and thoughtful, and many thanks for that. Sadly, the air con wasn’t working in the room which did mean some hot sticky nights as we visited in the midst of a mini heatwave and there was little breeze from the open window. We did report this but were told there was an issue throughout the hotel and it wasn’t just our particular room. It would have been lovely to have got out of the outside heat into an air conditioned room but it didn’t spoil our stay and these things happen. Although breakfast was included in our stay, we chose to eat in some of the lovely local cafes around instead just because there was so much choice, so I can’t comment on the quality of that. Check out was 11am and our flight home was in the evening but it was no trouble for the hotel to store our luggage for us to collect later. Given how busy the city was when we visited, I really liked the slightly out of town location away from the bustle of the crowds but withi

We stayed here as a large group in May for the World Ice Hockey Championships. Hotel staff were very friendly and happy to help us with advice and storage of additional bags. They even helped us with some printing of bits we needed as a group. Rooms are adequate and do have air con although in 80 degrees would be a struggle to keep cool as not ice cold. However with the window open a nice breeze at night cools the room down and the added bonus of being on a lovely quiet road so no major noise from street below. Mini bar in room was also a plus for storage of items. Breakfast was plentiful although would have been nice to have had some bacon but lots of bread cheese meats scrambled egg, Fruits and yoghurt and some pastries. We all loved the location, yes a little out from the old town but only 20 min walk to Wencelesas square. Also a tram stop for old town castle etc about 5 mins from hotel. Best thing around hotel was the lovely little bars and restaurants nearby and as more of a residential area prices were HALF of that in the centre. Highly recommend the Mexican and Irish bar near hotel. Also a small mini mart right next door that sold everything. Few small gripes but nothing major. Toilet seat bit noisy when you sat on in it in the night, storage space in room limited for long stays as only one wardrobe and some shelving so really be good if they could at least put some bedside cupboards with drawers etc in as had to use a case to store some stuff. And as mentioned by some bar opening was sometimes sporadic. Open some days/times but not others which with such a big group was a shame as they could have made loads of money at the end of an evening. Definitely a good value choice for a stay and a lovely quiet area but within good access of the sights by transport or short walk.

An excellent hotel at a very high level! Rooms are decorated in a very nice and pleasant way, a hardworking staff that takes care of everything, a very good and tasty breakfast, a very comfortable and quiet place without all the hustle and bustle of the center, the hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the green metro line. Wonderful! 10/10
