The front desk is warm, fast and skilled in business. The rooms are well-equipped, clean and hygienic. I have stayed many times and I am very satisfied. Cost-effective, the front building can see the scenery of the tea mountain, the back building has a stream, listening to the sound of running water can sleep better. There is free parking space at the door, but the number is a bit small. You can contact the front desk in advance to reserve a parking space.

I read online reviews saying that it is an old hotel, but I stayed in it after struggling. It is true that the hotel is relatively old, but as a four-star hotel, you can still feel traces of its past glory from the entire structural space of the hotel. It should be said that at the same price, it is still cost-effective in terms of service and basic configuration. Bottled water, fruits, and candies that are placed in the public space on the floor for guests to use at any time, the fruit plate delivered to the room at night (although there are only a few fruits, but they are also washed and wrapped in plastic wrap), and the variety of buffet breakfast , It can be seen that there are still certain service standards. Of course, there are also shortcomings: the room is small, and the water in the shower is not smooth.

I often travel outside. Every time I go to a place, I prefer James Coffee. I like the service, atmosphere, facilities, environment, meals of this hotel. The stay is particularly comfortable. The location of the hotel is usually very good and the travel is particularly convenient. Pu'er's James Coffee is simply great, the rooms are comfortable, the restaurant is exquisite, and the breakfast is delicious. I upgraded my room type for free, gave breakfast, and sent afternoon tea snacks on the third day. All staff are polite, good service, great! As a hardcore stew powder, I will still choose James Coffee in the future.

Remarkably situated on the rooftop of a historic warehouse or market building, it has been thoughtfully and tastefully designed - and is a lovely place to stay. The hotel is only a stone’s throw from the fascinating Daijia Alley, where some of the oldest buildings in Pu’er can be found - and is also within walking distance of the Tea Celebrities Garden and other landmarks. You can easily take a taxi to the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Our room was really delightful and included a pretty waterside decking area with outdoor furniture. Staff were extremely polite and helpful and breakfast was plentiful and delicious! We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Pu’er.

The hygiene is excellent. I stayed there last year because it was very clean and had no smell. I came again this year. The only drawback is that the price difference between breakfast included and breakfast not included is a bit big, so I didn't book a breakfast included room this year, but this year they helped me move to Building 1 for free. I booked Building 2, which is cheaper. Here are some photos from last year. Last year there was breakfast, which was very rich, so the only regret is that I didn't have breakfast this year. Parking is free. My mother asked me why I didn't book a room in the city center. I said it's clean here, there's no odor, and it's not very remote. Pu'er is so small that it's cheap to take a bus. The 2 yuan No. 3 bus from the high-speed rail station goes directly to the hotel, saving me the trouble of taking a taxi. I took the bus and got off at Simao No. 2 Primary School to find food. I found that there was a lot of restaurants behind the commercial center opposite the No. 2 Primary School. There were so many choices. I didn't find it last year, but this year they even found out where to eat. I recommend Zamao Renjia for dinner. It's a food stall that locals eat at first glance. It's cheap and tastes good. There are many people and good business. After dinner, I took the No. 3 bus to the hotel.

The room is quite big. The front desk service needs to be strengthened, and you have to learn to listen to and understand the meaning of the guests. Don't worry about expressing, always interrupting the guests. I want a big bed and don't want the last one in the corridor. The front desk keeps saying ”that room is like that” So, can you change it? Can the twin bed be spelled? Problem solving is more important than babalabala.

Pu'er Sun River Forest Park is really a treasure land!
As soon as you enter the park, it's like stepping into a natural green oxygen bar. The vegetation here is dense, the forest coverage rate is extremely high, and the various rare plants are dazzling. Strolling along the trail, the fresh air is mixed with the fragrance of soil and grass, and every breath makes people feel refreshed.
The animals in the park are a highlight. The red pandas are super cute, their furry appearance and naive movements make people want to get close. There are also gibbons jumping and shuttling between the woods, full of vitality and agility. These animals live freely in a natural environment, allowing us to observe their living habits up close, which is a very rare experience.
The staff of the park are also worthy of praise. They are enthusiastic and professional, and will explain to tourists about the ecological knowledge of the park, the characteristics of animals and plants, etc., which allows us to learn a lot of interesting knowledge while playing.

GGuest UserThis is a new hotel conveniently located for the airport and station, but not in a touristy part of town. The facilities were really excellent. Everything is brand new and a lot of thought has clearly gone into the design. Some nice touches, like fresh fruit in the evening, and an accessible washing machine were very welcome. The bed was super comfortable and all the linens were pristine. The breakfast was Fine, nothing particularly special. But best of all I have to say was the staff. From the staff on the front desk to the lady who cleaned my room everyone was extremely welcoming and did everything they could to answer my questions, help me with any small problems and make my stay comfortable. A very big thank you to all of you. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone coming to Pu'er.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

I have always felt that Pu'er is not like a tourist city, it is more like a leisure station to relax. And Manzhen provides such a good place to calm down and slow down!
From the moment you get off the high-speed rail and pick up the station, Manzhen will infiltrate the meticulous and considerate service into every moment of your stay. Tea, beverages, lollipops, and ice cream in the lobby; various fruits, refreshments, and instant noodles during afternoon tea time for guests to enjoy at any time.
There are not many types of breakfast but it is exquisite. A bowl of warm rice noodles and various porridge is enough to wake up the stomach that has slept all night...
If you want to leave, just call the front desk and they will take you to the high-speed rail station on time.
The facilities in the room are clean and tidy, simple and atmospheric. The sanitation is in place, which is reassuring. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the water pressure is sufficient. The bed is 1.3 meters wide, and it is not crowded with children.
Take a taxi from the hotel to Daijia Lane for 10 yuan, and go to the Tea Horse Ancient City Night Market for 26 yuan.
Next time I go to Pu'er, I will choose this place again!

For me is very important to have non smoking room, so we looked through several to find one which has no smoke or any smell. It s on the 2nd floor 8203 as I remember.

GGuest UserThe B&B is only more than one kilometer away from Pu'er High-speed Railway Station, and pick-up and drop-off services are provided. The room is clean and spacious. I like the tea garden view outside the window the most. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas, great! Although there are roads around, it is also surrounded by tea mountains and fish ponds. In addition, the cherry blossoms have been in full bloom in winter recently, making it very pleasant to walk. The B&B offers staff meals at noon and evening for 15 yuan per guest. There were two times when I didn’t want to go out to eat or order takeout, so I tried it and it was very affordable. The staff at the B&B are enthusiastic and answer all your questions. All in all, a very satisfying experience. Hope to stay longer next time.
