Blue Sea Costa Jardin & Spa

I am extremely upset with this hotel. We booked this hotel based off the amenities available. However, the amenities are rarely open. The pool is only open from 10:00-17:00 which leaves no time to go enjoy excursions and still enjoy the amenities. The mini golf is €10 and is only open for 4.5 hours a day (10:30-13:00 and 15:00-17:00). We were hoping to go enjoy the beaches/hiking/etc during the day and come back and relax around the hotel and enjoy swimming and playing mini golf. But we are not going to be able to enjoy that at all. I would not recommend. I would recommend booking somewhere else where the amenities are more available. I'd also like to add that when we arrived they said their parking lot was full. So we had to park a bit aways and walk to the hotel. This was extremely inconvenient for us as the parking nearby is extremely limited. Also, the food was not good at all. The only good option was the gravy covered turkey. The bread was hard and stale, the fries had been sitting a while, the pizza was way too salty and cold, matter of fact almost all of the hot options were cold so I'm not sure they are on heating trays. We expected more quality and options since we paid €25 per person (€75 total) for just the one dinner. The breakfast was not great either unfortunately. The shower was also covered in limescale with black mold spots along the bottom lining where the door slides. There's also a ton of scuffs and marks all of the walls in the room. I've included some pictures of both below. Additionally, the bedding was dirty we found out after lifting up the pillows. We asked the front desk to have the bedding replaced. Which they did come to replace that night but told us we couldn't have it replaced anymore after that because they didn't have anymore sheets that would fit the bed. The new sheets also had something red crusted on it and when we took the sheets off ourselves we found a ton of stains on the mattress protector. The front desk do not care about any issues and will argue with you and say that they don't need to have the amenities open in the evening just like how the restaurant doesn't need to be open 24/7. When I tried rebutting with people eat at certain times but people do amenities at random times he said it doesn't matter. Ultimately, we were never able to use the amenities even when we made it back to the hotel by 6pm because everything is closed by that time.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel, it is in need of an update, lots of niggly little things such as the balcony seating area closed as there was maintenance work, therefore if you wanted to sit outside on an evening you had to go to the pool area and use a plastic cup rather than a glass. They were painting in the food area at breakfast a couple of mornings which I did think wasn’t a great time to do it! There are also no kettles in the rooms which was a bit of an issue as I think most people like a hot drink when they wake up! Food is what you can expect from an all inclusive, a variety of things. The pool and outdoor area are lovely although there is the usual sunbed hogging going on, get your towels out early. It can also be quite rowdy at times. Check out is 12pm and they also cut your wristband off at that time, our pick up wasn’t until 4.20pm so any drinks/food you need before then you have to pay for. Having said all that, we didn’t let anything spoil our holiday, the weather was beautiful the whole time and we would definitely go back to Puerto de la Cruz but would NOT stay in this hotel again.

Well where do I start. For a 'garden and spa hotel' we were very disappointed with our stay. When we woke at the hotel after our early morning arrival, I found the AC didn't work, on speaking to reception staff about the issue they said the whole hotel had no AC however we'd already spoken for couples where theirs was working. For our entire stay the AC wasn't running and no one came to look. The ceiling fans in the rooms run but are super noisy. As advertised its a spa and garden hotel. I planned to propose on holiday in the garden at the hotel whilst it was lit by the lamp posts etc within the garden. Our first evening there, as a family we decided to check out the garden after sunset, to our disappointment the lights didn't work, we spoke to reception staff about this and 4 days later the lights STILL DIDN'T WORK.. so that scuppered my sunset engagement plans. The spa wasn't open as it was still being built, the gym was closed, very rarely any entertainment around the pool from the team (we saw them once) As its advertised as 4 star I was very surprised we had to pay for cocktails at the bar, after paying for our reusable cups (not advertised when booking or checking in at the hotel) pool towels again were another added payment (again very disappointing) and you even had to pay for the ice creams which you'd usually expect to be included in the all inclusive. Even bottled water wasn't provided and had to bought at the shop at the hotel. Food in general was just poor quality. Smallest buffet selection I've ever seen in a 4 star hotel. Food was Luke warm at best most nights, food selection was rather limited too and several people we spoke to had complained about the food selection/quality to the reception staff, this didn't change anything though. We decided to eat out of the hotel several days due to the lack of selection, poor quality and Luke warm food. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't be returning. I wouldn't class this as 4 star in anyway what so ever. I've been to 3 star hotels which offer more than this hotel. Don't waste your money. Wasn't worth what we paid especially having the added extras at the hotel that weren't advertised or explained during check-in

The hotel is old but clean. The food is good and there are options to choose from. As in every hotel of this type, there are not enough sunbeds at the pool. The biggest drawback was that I had a cockroach in my room a few times and for this reason I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Another problem was getting to the beach. It is not written anywhere that it is maybe a short distance away but downhill so the way back is

Hotel is beautiful.. staff really friendly .. clean spotless rooms.. food amazing caters to everyone’s taste.. snacks are brilliant .. we had the most amazing five days I would highly recommend this hotel .. we will definitely be back to this hotel wouldn’t go anywhere else in Tenerife
