HG Lomo Blanco

Ideally located in quiet part close to old town as well as the *****. Two pool areas (one with shallow kids pool) and food available by larger pool -also small dining area just past reception (good selection for breakfast). Pool table for older kids and small playground for toddlers onsite. Very clean complex and friendly staff. Fully equipped kitchenette and lovely powerful shower in bathroom which I loved! Close to lots of shops and restaurants, but relatively steep stroll downhill to beach, fine for us but could be a workout with buggy or if any mobility issues. There was on street parking outside if hiring a car. Lots of taxis around if not! We enjoyed exploring the local areas on foot after a day of sightseeing…some great restaurants close by in the old town. No air con in the apartment that we could see (but we didn’t ask either as we stated at end January so 24 Celsius and pleasant indoors and out) - recommend checking if going at peak times. Pools weren’t heated but nice for a dip- clean and lifeguards on duty at both between 9:30 and 6pm. Relaxing short break at lovely complex, we’ll be back!

Stayed here in April with family. We were room No 1 so right near reception. It was very noisy, suitcases being wheeled early/late so no sleep. Rooms were clean, our terrace was overlooking the roadside and reception so no privacy at all. Even had people cutting through so I would avoid rm 1. Location was OK for us, we cut through the supermarket car park to avoid the steep hills. Pool was nice but sadly no sunbeds available as all blocked with towels from 6am then not used all day. We found ourselves using the pool early evening as it was the only time you could get a bed. Surely the lifeguards can remove towels if not being used for a lengthy amount of time? Lots to do in lanzarote, we enjoyed a trip to the volcano, a buggy tour and also rancho texas. I liked Lanzarote, if I stayed here again I would ask for a different room.

Lovely relaxing stay and the staff are very friendly. Our apartment was cleaned regularly during our 9 day stay and the place is close to both the Old Town and the top end of the *****. Well worth a stay here as nothing is too much trouble to the staff.

Room had great views, clean, everything you needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pools were clean, plenty of sun loungers for everyone despite the 6am towel huggers!! We have stopped here several times and already booked for next year

Hotel was lovely and clean apartment was nice and spacious . There is 2 swimming pools we were round the small one at the back . The main one was mainly family’s and kids the back one is through a small tunnel and is much quieter just couples. Really close to the ***** and beach down a flight of steps ( not really suitable for anyone with lung or joint problems as there is quite a few and coming up can be quite taxing ) loads of places to eat and great beach . Hotels only down side is no air con we went in October and had a fan and had to leave the windows open apart from that would definitely recommend if don’t mind heat at night .

Really good apartments, lovely pools, plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar offers plenty of food choices, really tasty too. Breakfast at the restaurant is available without prior booking, excellent value at 8.50pp. Really pleasant staff, especially the young lady who hosts at breakfast, cooks and serves at the pool bar, she is an amazing member of staff. We'll definitely be returning, soon I hope.

our first time at hg lomo blanco and we will definitely be back! the staff are all very friendly, the food is very good and it is in a great location in relation to puerto del carmen main *****. as a travel agent i will be recommending this hotel to my customers

I had hopes for this hotel based on the photos of the rooms. When we arrived the receptionist told us my request for a sea view had been granted. I hadn't even put a request in. We walked past lots of lovely, modern rooms on our way to ours. However once we got into our room we soon realised we had been sugar soaped. The room was NOTHING like the pics. The kitchen was grotty. The cutlery trays were dirty. Everything was very tired looking and needed an upgrade. There also wasn't air con in the rooms, just a fan. Luckily for us, because we were on the top floor the breeze blew straight through. None of us were happy but just thought we would make the best of it. We were in B block which had a small pool. People would leave their towels on the loungers all night meaning you could never get one. There were signs up saying you couldn't do this but nothing was ever done about it. The next morning we went down to the other pool. We managed to finally get sunbeds. We had been there for most of the day when a boy went upto the lifeguard to tell her someone had been sick in the pool. To our shock she just shrugged her shoulders and didn't do anything about it. Needless to say my son wouldn't go in the pool and never went in for the whole week! Instead we went down to the beach all week. We had been there for about 4 days when my husband realised his 200ml bottle of Hugo Boss aftershave, which had hardly been used, had disappeared from our room. We went down to reception to inform them. The receptionist just kept saying it was strange. She took our room number but we never heard anything else about it. I would say the only good thing about this hotel is the location. We definitely won't be staying there again.
