Got a nice sea view at the common area. (I saw fireworks at night because of their festival). Since it's bear to the playa Chica, you can just go swimming there and look your stuff in the hostel without worrying getting stolen. Very nice for solo travelers! Btw it really work snorkeling or swimming to see the fish there!!! It's also near to the bus stop las Vista and the shopping mall so you can get to playa Blanca/arricefe/airport/any tours you joined easily. Have laundry and drying service for 10 euros (but you have to ask for the staff at the reception). The reception staffs don't speak English well but they try their best to communicate with me with Google translate, which I appreciate.

Great wee hotel would stay there again only 1 thing put me off is I went for breakfast down the street returning found my door wide open with my personal items on the bed

Lovely clean hotel close to Playa Chica I had booked a holiday with my partner, who at the last minute was sadly unable to come. So I had to find some cheaper accommodation and I picked Magec. It’s a basic hotel but it has everything I needed. The staff were kind and friendly: I enjoyed my conversations with the lady from Colombia. The place was super tidy, and my room had a little balcony facing the ocean. There is a small terrace on the top floor where you can sit at a table or sunbathe on a sunbed (but there’s only one!) On the top floor there is also a small kitchen that has a kettle and microwave. The showers and toilets are shared but they are always clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that I could hear the street sounds from my window (but I am admittedly a light sleeper). The absolute best thing about this little place is that it is only a 3-4 minute walk from the beach - Playa Chica. This is my favourite beach in Lanzarote because it is small, cosy, family friendly, and has so so many types of fish you can see if you like snorkelling. Even wading in knee-deep, you see whole schools of fish swimming by! So it was great for me to just walk out of the hotel and to the beach, then I didn’t even need to use the beach showers, I could just go back and do it at the hotel! Hotel is also close by to many pubs and restaurants, if that is your thing. If on a budget, I would definitely recommend this place. The beach is so close!!!

Property was at the back of all the restaurants, very noisy...vans coming in & out all day , & didn't know it was a hostel ...very disappointed Mr Thompson!!!!

Absolutely fantastic, a hidden gem with amazing staff who work very hard as the property is spotless and very well maintained and managed. A great place for the solo traveller as some of other guests are solo travellers as well. A very safe place and there is always access to a Manager on duty if required. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
