Hotel is clean , staff are ok, food is not bad (not very good either) and the parties on the roof top are fun. Hotel asks Egyptian residents to pay an additional fees on arrival which was kind of bargain and unacceptable

Quiet, calm, not many people, delicious cuisine, animation.

Just had a short break at Il Mercato and the welcome and service that we have received is impeccable. From day one the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean and the restaurant is also outstanding. The food on offer is local and was very tasty. Big shout to the omelette maker in the morning. One special thank you to Mahmoud Saied who works tirelessly making my Big Mo special Cocktails for me to enjoy. Always smiling and cheerful and concerned for our happiness throughout our stay "Whatever" Great place I will return in the future and will recommend to my friends and family. Until we meet again goodbye my friends at Il Mercato. Nearly forgot one member of staff let us use his phone all evening to watch the England Vs Slovenia game as it wasn't being screened. Once again a fantastic stay, we keep coming back, and it’s the staff that make it, Mahmoud in the restaurant always looked after us and made sure we had plenty to drink and started to make our table for 6… Mahmoud saied at the reception bar was great as well he always kept his eye on us and topped us up when we finished, his favourite English word was “Whatever” The man who makes our room up always makes an animal of sort for when we get back in

Stayed here end of April for 1 week. Hotel itself was clean and couldn't fault the staff, very helpful and always polite. Location is ok, pretty run down around the vicinity, there are shops etc there but looks like loads have closed and are now derelict. Food: well breakfast was interesting, not like other hotels I've stayed at in sharm before was very random! Cereal isn't like UK cereal, worse than value stuff by a long shot. Egg station for omelette uses same bowls for everyone's orders and twice I got shells in my eggs so then gave up. Yoghurt, fruit and waffles available and toast so pretty much had that every day! Dinner is repetitive and disappointing, much the same every evening not much taste. Lunch option is better than dinner options, enjoyed the goulash. Always salad, rice and bread at every meal. Disappointed overall with the food could do much more and I'm not an overly fussy eater, will try most things! Snacks: served upstairs near activity pool, hotdogs/burgers (not like British stuff so if you're fussy you'll likely not enjoy) and chips. Paid for beach was amazing swam with the fish in the shallow water. Not too hard to find walking there in the morning, got bus back Didn't do the free beach. You do get pestered by the pool asking about excursions/spa/beauty etc. Haggle,haggle haggle if you do want anything though, prices are crazy starting off! Overall lovely weather, lovely staff and hotel clean. Nice for a getaway but food needs to be a lot better to consider returning.

This was our second stay here and things had changed since our 1st visit in October 2022. Iman reservation manager ensured we had the same rooms as previous at our request (a few months in advance) which was greatly appreciated. The daily service of our rooms had dropped a bit just basics like leaving toilet paper and towels. The food was fairly average and repetitive but we always found something to eat and it was generally very good although we tried the a la carte and were not impressed by it as it was same food from buffet. The spa is excellent and Shimma and Mohammed (Faron) are fantastic masseurs. Our star member of staff though is Mostafa Kamal our pool lifeguard who made our stay, with his fantastic customer service always going above and beyond what his job title implies, an asset to the hotel. My star rating is more 3.5 as just those few things let it down but we will still return as we do love having everything on site and overall these things had a minor impact on our rest and relaxation time.

It was too good to be described in words. 1 week passed like a dream . Everything is close to perfect, the staff is very friendly, the food is great, it is an immaculate hotel.It's a very big and fun hotel.The animation team is great.There are so many pool options.

We had such a great time at Il Mercato, Sharm el Sheik. The staff especially Mahmood Said who got us our drinks and remembered us from last year made it all wothwhile. Made to feel welcome by all staff, the pool, the pool bar, reception and Mahmood Said.

Amazing place great hotel and everyone is helpful room cloud do with a little up dating but still nice total recommend this place and at reception asked for Ismail he is great sorted my Wi-Fi out when ever need and very helpful. Spa is great the girls know how hat they are doing local a few shops and restaurants too loved my stay

That's my second time in that hotel. Prewious one was before the pandemy started. Actually hotel is good and notning was changed expect the number of russians. There are a lot of them and that is not wery comfortable Otherwise, i had a good weather all the time and a wery warm sea. There are a few clean basens in the hotel so you don't need to go to the beach in the case of the bad weather. The evening program was also interesting -belly dance, latina dance with a professional performance etc🩰 Recommend to visit the Fares seafoods restaurant which is located in the few minutes by walk from the hotel. Highly recommend it (you don't need to take a taxi, if you're not sure about location you can easy find it in the Google maps 🐠🐟). From the hotel you can go the one free and the one payable beach. But i recommend the third one it is the El Fanar🏝️. That one is good for relax. No drunk guys, no disco music My special thanks for the guy from the cleaning team named Ramadan Ahmed. He was wery helpful. Five stars for him. Special thanks for the Ramadan and for the hotel team for the surprise with the cake for my BDAY 🎂 🎈 (as for me they have a very good sweets in restaurant for every day) For the sure hotel is luxury as well as could he for egiptian standards, but if you are from EU or GB could be some details you will definitely not like (like small line's of the rust in the bathroom or broken door lokers on the balcony)🤪 Summary the hotel is good but staying there with russians is not comfortable. So it makes me to sense ro overthink do i really want to come back 🙂

Excellent service - all staff extremely helpful. Mahmoud at the reception bar was particularly good - fluent English , he maintains an extremely high standard of service to everyone. Room spacious with good aircon - ground floor pool side recommended . Food was good - lots of fresh salads - good variety of meat and fish Very pleased to stay

I was recently at this hotel with my friends and I have to say it was a most wonderful experience, from the service, to the food, to the staff, to the hospitality. Was all great! The hotel has stunning views and some very nice pools aswel, what stood out the most was the taxi service which was beyond excellent, the price was very good, the drivers were extremely good people and were available whenever and wherever you needed them. Felt like a had my personal chauffeur at times.

This has been my third stay at Il Mercato and I am already planning my return in a few months. The hotel is incredible, the service is amazing and the staff are indescribable, so attentive and caring. I never want to leave. This place has changed my life

From the minute I arrived everyone was so welcoming, the lobby barman bringing out the drinks trolley for me. The room was overlooking the pool and was really light and airy. The staff at the restaurant were amazing and looked after me so well. Very good shuttle bus to the beach. Mustafa the barman at the beach so kind and bringing over a cold drink all the time. Only 5 minutes by taxi to the Old Market and all the shops. Great location.
