The front desk service is polite, parking is convenient at the door, the beach is across the road, the suite is large, the air conditioning is powerful, and the cost performance is super high. I will stay at his house when I go to Huangdao in the future. I like the big room and don’t mind the old-fashioned decoration style. I highly recommend it!
The beef noodle restaurant under the building is also very good, with large portions and good service attitude from the boss.
I stayed at the Carnival Hotel the night before, and they didn’t even turn on the central air conditioning. They only gave me an electric fan. The price is expensive and speechless. I strongly don’t recommend it.

I took my children to Qingdao for five days and four nights. Huangdao Golden Beach Orange Crystal Hotel was the most satisfactory hotel. First of all, the location is moderate. It is not the closest to the beach, so it avoids damp and musty smells. It is not very far. It is very convenient to get to the main square of the Golden Beach Beer Festival at a starting price. Then, the room is very well implemented. There are two large beds, which are spacious for children to sleep. The parent-child bed is relatively low, so it is safe. There are shower rooms and bathtubs. Let’s talk about the service attitude. It is also very enthusiastic. The child wanted to peel the apple, and the front desk immediately sent it. The child wanted to dig sand, and the front desk also provided tools. Anyway, everything can be responded to immediately. Let’s talk about breakfast. At this price, it’s really good to be able to eat so many dishes. Because the child couldn’t eat at the beginning, we were in a hurry to get on the road. Booked a two-bedroom suite in Jimu, two floors, one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, very suitable for family travel, very cost-effective, if the upstairs bathroom has a door, it would be even better~ The front desk lady had a very good service attitude, arranged a high floor south-facing room, the view was very good, there was no odor in the bathroom. The children went to the sea to catch a lot of conchs, crabs and hermit crabs, and they also gave shell gifts when checking out. As soon as I got off the car and walked towards the hotel, I was mesmerized by the sea in front of me. It was so beautiful. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, there were very few people on the beach and the sand was clean. The children wanted to go to the beach all the time. The room was American-style, with the window facing the sea. It was very clean and there were no strange reptiles. However, the hotel has a few meal options and the delivery time for takeout will be a bit long. It is really recommended for families with children.

It is a very very beautiful hotel, excellent architecture and design, at the time of arrival they receive you and during your stay with local beer from them very cold and tasty.
In terms of amenities, the hotel does not have a pool and the private beach that is next to the hotel you cannot bathe, you have to walk approx 500 meters or 1 km to the nearest beach to enjoy the sea.
Breakfast is very basic for what the hotel costs.
THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH, but they attend you with a translator. ( not always the best communication but it works)
Overall 1 or two nights are worth the experience, not the best for kids definitely, the only convenient thing can be when it's the beer festival as it has a very good location.

Overall it’s a nice hotel. The room was clean, beds were cozy and it was not noisy. It is literally 100 meters far from the subway station so it’s easy to move around. A bit far from the beach, the closest beach (Golden beach) were one can swim is 30 min by car.
Breakfast is Chinese style and affordable, 15 yuan per person.

The Service: For the price paid, I think the service was amazing. I really enjoyed interacting with the staff and the owner. They were really friendly and helpful.
The Staff: The staff was not always at the service desk. This is understandable as the ”vibe” was very laid back. All one had to do was give her a phone call and she would appear. I only had positive interactions with staff. Very friendly and helpful.
The Facilities: The facilities were non-existent. I chose that for myself though as I only needed a place to sleep. I would have liked a canteen or convenience store on the premises, but there were places nearby. Unfortunately, the businesses nearby that sold food were either closed down or not operating for some reason or other.
The Food: The food was ordered from a local restaurant. I enjoyed the food very much. It was simple, nothing fancy, but tasty.

EECIDCThe 180-degree sea-facing parent-child room I booked does not have a balcony, but there is a large French window that can be opened. There is a guardrail outside, so you can lean on the railing and look out, or sit on the sofa and stare at the sea. There are always seabirds flying over the sea, and you can watch them for a long time. The meals must be praised, and the breakfast set meal is needless to say, it is highly recommended! At noon and in the evening, we ordered stir-fried dishes, and the dishes we ordered were all delicious. They were a little expensive, but the taste was really good and there was no thunder at all. The sweet soup in the evening was also delicious, and the children liked it very much. There are also cats in the yard, facial masks, eye masks, and many good memories. I hope I can come again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserQingdao Shangri-la's service needs major improvements, the level of negligence and sheer rudeness of staff was shocking and unfitting for a second tier city like Qingdao. We really expected better.
We stayed at the hotel for five nights in May. We arrived in the afternoon around 4pm -- way past the earliest time for check in, but were told by the staff that the room is not ready. They only allowed us to keep our luggage with the reception, and couldn't even tell us when the room will be ready again. What's worse -- we had to ask in order to get a slight upgrade. This is the worst service I've seen in a five-star hotel in China.
There's more. We visited the mediteranean restaurant in the hotel for a quick pre-dinner drink and snack, as we got a voucher with our stay. After we ordered drinks, a complimentary snack and some fries, the Chinese staff commented, ”You guys are eating very little”. That's quite unimaginable to me to be treated as such in an upscale venue like this. We didn't want to spend more at that restaurant, even though the quality of the food was fine.
Shangri-la, please train your Chinese staff and align them with your global standards. Guests deserve better.

Zebra hotel also includes a fitness area (gym) and parking lot, which can accommodate 20 cars. In the peak season, the room rates range from 236 to 500 yuan. Zebra Hotel pays attention to details and allows guests to enjoy the boutique hotel experience. No hotel is complete without a good restaurant, and zebra hotel is no exception. This restaurant provides Chinese and western breakfasts, lunches and diners. It has a good restaurant decorated with southwest style and a private Chinese restaurant that can be enjoyed. Although the restaurant's menu can satisfy any taste, the chef is also very flexible. For example, if you want to taste the best seafood in Qingdao, the chef is always at your service. At zebra Hotel, the owner of the hotel will ensure that everything meets your needs and provides an exclusive experience. Although zebra hotel may not be able to provide the same central location as other accommodation, its personalized service and state-of-the-art facilities make up for this deficiency. The staff were very friendly and we had a good time. We look forward to staying there again.

First and foremost, the receptionist displayed exceptional customer service. Our early morning arrival was met with a warm welcome and an unexpected early check-in. This considerate gesture allowed us to freshen up and kick-start our adventure, setting a positive tone for our stay.
During our visit, there was a minor hiccup with housekeeping - a misplaced pair of Nike Air Max shoes. Thankfully, the vigilant receptionist swiftly resolved the issue, locating and returning the missing item promptly. To make amends for the inconvenience, they went the extra mile, offering a small gift and complimentary breakfast coupons as a gesture of goodwill. Such attentiveness to guest needs is truly commendable.
While we chose to explore authentic local cuisine during our trip, bypassing hotel dining, I cannot provide feedback on the food quality or variety.
In terms of location, this hotel scores points for convenience. Taxis are readily available, and it took us just 30 minutes to reach the stunning Laoshan Mountain, a must-visit destination. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a bustling night market right across the street adds to its appeal.
However, there's room for improvement, notably in the cleanliness department. The bathrooms, in particular, left much to be desired, with an unpleasant odour lingering during our stay. Broken equipment, such as the wardrobe, was also in need of repair. Furthermore, the electric kettle was not up to our cleanliness standards, discouraging its use.
In summary, this hotel offers excellent customer service, convenient access to transportation and local attractions, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. However, attention to cleanliness and maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, is an area that could use some enhancement.

Anyway, there is Metro (underground subway) which helped us address that in case we wanted to have a look at downtown. The hotel is a 10 min walk from either Haiyou or Haichuan stations in Line 2.
We’re not so much of a fan of Chinese food for breakfast, so the free breakfast was not fascinating for us. They did have eggs and bread.
There is an elevator to help us carry or luggage all the way to our floors. And the room was neat and clean, and they clean it every time we’re out.

GGuest UserConvenient transportation, but you have to go across the street to park. The bed is very comfortable to sleep on. You can also wash clothes. Just stick a few hooks to hang clothes. There is also beer for sale downstairs. I buy a bottle every day and drink it while watching movies. Not bad, there are Hema and IKEA next to it. It is very suitable for staying for a few days
