White Point Beach Resort

It was a different experience to most of our stays. We stayed in one of the rooms fairly close to the main reception. It was clean and tidy and it had a balcony from where you could see the ocean. There is a laundry for guests to use which is chargeable but you will need dollar coins. Food in the bar was good .Dip your feet in the can if you are brave enough, once you get used to it it’s refreshing

My husband and I decided to do a last minute overnight stay for my birthday! We stayed in one of the lakeside glomes, upon arriving Stan and Jen made a few changes to make our stay perfect! The glomes are beautifully located and well equipped with everything you could need!! Each glomes is tastefully decorated and furnished, with every need thought of right down to Moulton Brown bathroom amenities,beds are super comfy and the private outdoor deck, bbq and hottub were the icing on the cake! The only thing that disappointed was having to leave! Such a lovely place to unwind and relax

The setting of the resort next to a beautiful beach is the best bit about this. Scratch the surface and the resort (away from the main building which was rebuilt in 2012 due to a fire) is very tired and needs money investing in it to bring it up to a good standard. Our cabin was overcrowded with old furniture that it was diffucult to move around. The upholstered chairs were grubby and needed recovering. The furniture needs painting in modern colours. The laundry….well two machines and three driers for the whole resort??? Scruffy laundry and nowhere to do any hand washing or hang up the laundry to line dry.

We have come to White Point a few times over the last 5 years and it’s now a regular vacation spot for us with two toddlers. The location and beach truly can’t be beat and is what makes this property so special. There are few other places within NS with such an amazing beach and a cabin right on the water - let alone with a restaurant, pool, boathouse, and games room within walking distance. The bunnies make it extra special. The kids love getting their faces painted and the nightly marshmallow roasts. The resort does seem a bit understaffed this year - most evident in the restaurant (food quality is not consistent or what it was - ie. Desserts clearly thawed from frozen, but the waitstaff who are there are awesome) and recreation (one rec assistant trying to do both face painting and a kids craft at once). Overall, this place is a unique spot to come and really wonderful for families. Hopefully staffing is better next year and the kitchen more consistent!

Simply unforgettable. Like Hawaii in Canada, but on the East Coast. A quaint, beautiful little spot that immediately drains away your stress. We went with our family and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. The manager, Andy, ensured our needs were attended to and provided a warm and gracious stay. There was fantastic live music both nights we stayed. And the beach has to be seen to be believed. Like Hawaii sands. But in Nova Scotia. Stay in a cottage, book early, and stay long. Pools, great food, and wonderful people. A must-go, and for families in particular! My sincerest thanks to everyone that made our stay memorable.

While Whitepoint is an older facility, it is clean and tidy. if you enjoy nature (lots of bunnies) and the sound of the pounding surf, a beautiful beach and a variety of accommodations, this is the place for you. Two hour drive door to door from Halifax, it is located on NS's beautiful South Shore. You can travel on the 103 highway or the picturesque Trunk 3 Lighthouse route.

We have stayed a few times here, and was never disappointed till this last stay. Having booked last minute im surprised we got a room during the busy time, got the last room available. Lakeside Retreat, to us it seemed like we were staying in a hotel rooms so close together, but cant complain being last minute Room was very nice and.clean had everything supplied. Now the downfall. We chose the.buffet for dinner, had reservations made for 2 nites. First off, we walked in with just our street clothes on, was no problem, she sat us at our table, and there were people there dressed worse then we were. The food wasnt great, first it was cold, some of the pans that food is kept in were empty,.so needs to say, we didnt get much to eat, very disappointed. Hats off to our server, sorry cant remember her name, but she has tattoos, she was a hoot, made for a better meal. Next, breakfast buffet. We wanted toast , there wasnt a single piece of bread, the man standing beside me asked one of the servers if there was any bread, she was very rude with him, i will not repeat what he said under his breath but i didnt blame the man. There were no hashbrowns, no bacon, very little scrambled eggs. Least the food was hot. For what a person pays here to eat, u think ne more organized . Next, she called to confirm our dinner reservation, then she says bout a dress code. I said to her, was not aware of a dress code, nowhere on the web site does it mention that, i looked. I told her bout the nite before and that we werent dressed to the nines, so i canceled and we went elsewhere. Im very disappointed with our last stay here.

My wife and I stayed at White Point this past weekend, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property is stunning, with plenty of activities to enjoy. We brought our dogs, as they offer pet-friendly cottages overlooking the ocean. It was the perfect getaway, with a beautiful beach and a picturesque setting. One of the highlights was the abundance of wild bunny rabbits, which my wife loved feeding with complimentary rabbit food from the front desk. Our dinner reservations at 7:15 were fantastic. I had the pan-fried halibut, while my wife enjoyed the green pea risotto. The evening was enhanced by a talented live singer who performed both maritime classics and modern songs. We ended the night with a lovely walk on the beach and some stargazing. Our stay was a 10/10, and we highly recommend White Point for both family vacations and romantic getaways.
