Camping Residence Oliva

Wat een heerlijke camping aan zee en direct naast het verrassend gezellige plaatsje Rabac met een leuke boulevard. De camping heeft hele nette toiletgebouwen, vrij nieuw allemaal. Daarbij een leuk zwembad en strand met veel ligstoelen, zelfs genoeg in het hoogseizoen. Kortom een heerlijke plek om een aantal dagen met onze camper te staan.

Wir fahren schon seid mehreren Jahren auf den Platz der unseren Ansprüchen sehr entspricht danke. Leider waren wir in diesem Jahr sehr endtäuscht als wir den Strand mit den vielen Liegen gesehen haben so das man einen Weg zum Meer suchen muss. Dadurch ist der schöne Blick von der Bucht leider sehr beeinträchtigt. Schade.

as part of a school trip with 160 students. the bungalows are quite basic with sheets that do not seem hygienic at all. To have hot water in the shower, you can dream. We were eating at the hotel across the street and the food was pretty good.

First, they give flashy advertising. The bungalows are so small that you cannot function normally inside. Ten T****e, if you make a reservation for a specific bungalow, you will receive something completely different from what you booked. Thirdly, the boiler was broken in our bungalow and we had to wait 3 days before it was repaired. Even when the technician went to repair the boiler, he was very grumpy and not at all guest friendly. Fourth, I woke up with the water pipe broken. They were told that they would fix it within an hour, but this was of course nonsense. The water pipe was only repaired after half a day. Fifth, there were ants everywhere in my bedroom, the staff came to look at it but did nothing about it, so I slept with ants in my bedroom for 8 days. Last but not least, the price, you pay the full price for the bungalow and the service, but you don't see anything in return. I also had to pay extra than agreed. I really get the feeling that they are only after your money. I share this because I have been going to Croatia every summer for years. It's really not the way it used to be. I certainly won't be coming this way next summer.

We chose this place because we arrived as a family with 2 camper vans and someone also needed a hotel room. It took a long time until we found 2 adjacent places for the camper vans. We had to walk back and forth between the place and reception several times. Communication at reception was bumpy but polite. Not everything is automated yet. The lady had to look in the booking book manually and walk down the wall with the slots for the places and then note down for us what was free. The numbers we asked for were supposedly reserved, but were then free for 2 weeks. The places are not all the same size and it takes time to get in a good position. Despite the holiday season, it was very quiet during the day and at night from around 10 p.m. The washroom was clean and was constantly checked. The cleaning ladies are very nice. Unfortunately there are no small toilets for children. Washing hands is also difficult for a 4-year-old. Our son just about managed to get over the edge. But then your arm isn't long enough to reach the soap and you don't have the strength to turn on the water tap. I even had to help a girl who was about 6 years old. Swimming is great because you can choose between several pools and the beach. Everything was well attended but not overcrowded. The WiFi doesn't work at all. Checkout is very convenient until 2 p.m. Late checkout costs €20. The HOTEL was very nice and clean. The food was very good, but you have to queue for a long time for some things. The service was very polite and they responded immediately to any problems.

The campsite is nice, clean bathrooms but the beach in front isn't that great and in the middle of the sea it has inflatables for children. Nearby, however, there are several very beautiful and clear beaches on the pedestrianized stretch of seafront. We went there by bike but in any case it was overcrowded because there are 3 hotels adjacent to the campsite. Rabac is close by walking. You can also use the train that runs along the entire seafront up to the Girandella dog beach. I do not recommend the Oliva restaurant with 2 takeaway pizzas, nothing special, more than 20 euros

Good cozy family campsite. Been here for the 3rd year. Beautiful mobile home with more kitchen utensils every year. What we had brought with us could remain packed because it was now present. Clean upon arrival, so that's always nice. Campsite is located on the beach. It was busy on some days, but we were able to get a bed every day and there were still plenty of empty ones. The swimming pool is not large and people do put out towels. In previous years that wasn't too bad, but now it was bad. But we had a nice time on the beach so we were not bothered by people reserving beds. From the photos of the campsite you can see that there are no water slides etc. at the swimming pool and that the pool is not too large. If you come here with this expectation, you haven't looked carefully beforehand. The pleasant boulevard of Rabac is within walking distance of the campsite and is always a nice walk in the evening. This year was the first time we had to make reservations in the restaurants. This due to corona. Furthermore, it is still pleasant on the boulevard. I would definitely recommend this campsite to families and couples. You can also make nice trips from the campsite.

We had a mobile home (No. 444). The mobile home was basically OK and, unlike some of the others, was in an ideal and quiet location. It was very pleasant that it was in the shade from late afternoon onwards. The facilities were absolutely OK and thanks to the air conditioning, it cooled down in just a few minutes. Anyone who values ​​a TV will be very disappointed. The tiny relic (15 inch?) from the 80s or 90s is completely forgettable, but that didn't bother us personally. The fact that the WiFi is free is actually of no use, because it's a matter of luck to get reception in almost the entire complex. Friends of ours were staying in another mobile home, which was much worse - so you have to be a bit lucky. There is a pizzeria on the site where you can eat surprisingly well and cheaply (not just Italian dishes) and if you're lucky you can also order takeaway so you can eat it in the mobile home. Unfortunately, there were also days when no "to go" was offered due to a lack of staff. The walk was free :-( You can use 3 pools, but like the beach they were hopelessly overcrowded. Sun loungers/sun umbrellas by the pool for free! What was a little annoying in the long run were the detours you have to take to get to the pools. The gates were always locked so you always have to walk around the whole pool. If you walk the path several times a day, it was really annoying. The large bay is unfortunately completely built up with the 3 huge hotels and the campsite, so that it is complete mass tourism. The only advantage is the close location to the place where the crowds of people flock in the evenings. The place itself is typically "touristy" and we were a little disappointed that there were relatively few restaurants. But it is absolutely OK for strolling. It was also a little annoying that they charged extra for practically everything on the campsite. The reception is hopelessly overloaded at certain times and it was disappointing that we asked twice by email in advance whether it was possible is that we and our friends who are travelling with us can have a mobile home next to each other. Both emails remained unanswered :-( Conclusion: It was OK for our last-minute booked holiday, but next time we would rather go to the other side towards Pula or Porec. Unfortunately, there are very few excursion options in the area around Rabac, or they only involve long journeys.
