L'hotel si trova lungo la strada di collegamento tra Ragusa e Marina di Ragusa da cui dista circa 12 km. Per spostarsi, quindi, bisogna disporre necessariamente di un veicolo. La struttura è molto carina, con una grande piscina, la palestra, ristorante e bar. Dispone di ampi spazi, tra cui anche un anfiteatro per spettacoli ed un ampio parcheggio interno gratuito. Le camere sono spaziose con affaccio sulla piscina (la nostra) ed il letto comodissimo con topper. Tv 42” ed aria condizionata regolabile dagli ospiti. C'è anche un piccolo frigo con due bottigliette di acqua gratuite e, nel bagno, i soliti accessori. Veramente fantastico il buffet per la colazione soprattutto per chi (come noi) gradisce il dolce e la frutta la mattina. Abbiamo trovato, infatti, diverse specialità di dolci con crema ed alla mandorla e frutta di diversi generi. In conclusione, un ottimo soggiorno anche se solo per una notte ma ci sarebbe piaciuto poter rimanere per una settimana. Sconsigliato per chi non ha la macchina e viaggia con i mezzi pubblici.

Sono stata li con marito e 2 bambini in occasione di una maratona. Tutto perfetto. Struttura ristrutturata da poco e con buon gusto. Check in e check out in orari comodi, con istruzioni chiare e la gentilezza di venirci incontro. Stanza ordinata, pulita e con tutto il necessario, anche angolo cottura. Letti comodissimi. Ris andamento e clima, insomma tutti i comfort. Colazione per accontentare tutti i gusti e la signora in sala molto gentile. Insomma davvero perfetto soprattutto x chi viaggia in macchina perché c'è un comodo parcheggio

Starting with the rooms, our one was wonderful, felt like we were in a wooden hut, clean, lovely decor and a mini kitchen. Our bed was very comfortable, whereas the kids slept on a pull out Sofa bed that was slightly downward slanted and not very sturdy but relatively comfortable to sleep on. So 4.5 for the room. The infinity pool had amazing views and was very tranquil but the pool temperature was a bit too cold. Mostly enjoyed by adults rather than children. Rated 3.5 as a whole. Breakfast okay, rating 4. Food: lunch was very overpriced for what we got and although the dinner was nice, severely overpriced. The bar was under stocked so no cocktails and only mixers Coca Cola or Tonic so I was very disappointed by the catering despite the staff, including the chef being very hospitable. Catering rating 3 because of price and bar limitations. If we were to visit again I would do a supermarket trip so we could make lunch in our room, given there’s a kitchenette (inc. Cooker and crockery). So the hotel has great potential just needs some tweaks here and there to get it to where it should be.

A beautiful setting, isolated and quiet, with a lovely pool area. We stayed in a suite that was very roomy, with a large double bedroom and a smaller single room upstairs. Downstairs had a small kitchen corner (which we didn't use other than the refrigerator) as well as a dining table and chairs and a comfortable sofa. Sky TV with all the sports channels (in Italian, obviously) was a nice surprise and came in useful as we weren't lucky with the weather. There are no other restaurants within walking distance - it's a 15 minute drive into Modica - so we ate at the restaurant every night for a week. This was not a problem as everything we ate was DELICIOUS. Enough variation on the menu to eat something different every night if you wanted to, but the dishes we had early on were so good we had them all twice. The best pinsas I've ever tasted - a world away from 'pizza' in the UK. Very reasonable prices as well, including wine. We only spent one day by the pool (because of the weather!) but it looked as though there would be plenty of sunbeds available even if all the guests decided to visit. Most importantly, all the hotel and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which really made the stay as good as it could be.

We first visited Modica Palace Hotel last summer and loved it so much we decided to return. We soon found that things had dramatically changed. We were old the hotel had changed hands. Skeleton staff, dinner that used to be amazing but now on a set menu that never changes so for us with the half board would have meant eating the same things for a week. The staff tried to help but we were not enjoying our meals at all. There were only 4 people dining in the restaurant each night whereas last year it was always full and despite this we had to wait for hours to be served. On more than one occasion our food did not arrive as ordered and we sent it back. On our last night I ordered a steak well done and I received it rare at which point we just got up and left. It is obvious that there are issues at management level, cost cuts is the one standing out but what was unacceptable was the Manager's behaviour. When we asked for a refund on our meal he got angry and his behaviour was quite aggressive, he told us there were no problems with the hotel and the reviews were good. He was not interested in listening to our feedback and he just left while we were talking and slammed the door on us. If I was the owner of this business I would be worried. A good manager always tries to accommodate customers and listen to their issues even act out on them so that customers do actually go back. I have recommended this hotel to so many people but will no longer do that and definitely will not return. It's such a shame.

Hotel di grande impatto all'arrivo, prospetti esterni curati, ingresso ed hall affascinanti anche se l'accessibilità sarebbe migliorabile soprattutto in tema di facilità di trasporto dei bagagli e presenza di barriere architettoniche (saliscendi di gradini ed assenza di rampe per disabili). Personale molto gentile e disponibile.....quando però lo si riesce a rintracciare, soprattutto telefonicamente! Abbiamo infatti avuto più di una volta difficoltà a farci rispondere al telefono dalla reception, con lunghi quarti d'ora in tentativi andati a vuoto. Caratteristica davvero poco ”luxury”, per non dire inaccettabile! Pulizia delle camere all'apparenza ottimale ma tiratina d'orecchie alle governanti, che non si curano di rimuovere le briciole della colazione dalla scrivania, segnale di scarsa attenzione. A proposito di colazione, peraltro ”imposta” in camera poichè (a detta del personale) si sarebbe evitato in tal modo di intasare la sala colazioni in un periodo di grande affollamento, ci è arrivato tutto tranne quello che avevamo annotato nella comanda consegnata alla reception la sera prima, quindi burro e marmellata ma senza pane, caffè e cappuccino ma senza lo zucchero ecc.. Room service pomeridiano, consistente in tre toast, arrivati in camera dopo 40 minuti con ripieno ancora freddo di frigorifero. Kit di cortesia in bagno non rimpiazzato quindi doccia con saponetta. Basterebbe mettere dei dispenser di docciashampoo in luogo di un flaconcino griffato Bulgari da 10 ml, nettamente insufficiente per due persone. Letto molto comodo con menu per la scelta del cuscino, davvero apprezzabile. La camera è carina e ben climatizzata ma entrando non si percepisce di trovarsi nella città del Barocco, sembrerebbe di stare in un qualsiasi business hotel di qualsiasi città del pianeta e tale aspetto contrasta con la bellezza architettonica degli esterni. Oltretutto ha un non so che di trasandato, probabilmente a causa del trascorrere del tempo, come le guarnizioni della doccia ingiallite e qualche buco nella testiera in ecopelle del letto (si allega foto). Spa molto bella ma ci sentiamo di suggerire a chi se ne occupa di non farla trovare allagata dai ”gocciolamenti” degli utenti che ne hanno usufruito subito prima, non è gradevole nè igienico. Non siamo soliti lasciare recensioni di tale tenore ma speriamo che le osservazioni ivi contenute possano servire a migliorare alcuni importanti aspetti in una struttura dalle grandi potenzialità. Ho viaggiato per lavoro, l’hotel è molto bello nel centro di Ragusa, camere spaziose e confortevoli, personale dall’ospitalità eccezionale, gentili e super disponibili. Il driver messo a disposizione, Danilo, oltre a cortesia ed educazione è stato disponibile a ogni ora del giorno e della notte anche senza preavviso. Esperienza da incorniciare!

The hotel is located in the countryside, 10 minutes from Modica. The hotel offers a nice view of the countryside it is peaceful and relaxing. It has a nice pool where you can cool down and relax. The rooms are spacious clean with a beautiful terrace. The staff are polite and friendly. The breakfast was varied and there was a lot of choice. A special thank you to the receptionist who was very friendly and witty.
