Rainbow Sands Resort

After one had the shower without enough hot water, the other had to wait for a long time for the reheating of water for another shower. And, each of us could not had a proper hot water shower. The room was cold and the aircon did not work effectively to supply warm ventilation. The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. There were many small ants under the table mat in the cabinet. Having said that, the staff at the reception was very helpful.

Nice room, all of the basics covered and clean. Contact with the hotel before was very friendly and efficient - nice check in and out process. Easy walk into town and the beach. Good place to stop off for a tour to Kgari island too.

Not a bad hostel. It has changed hands and the staff were just getting everything off the ground. It has potential to be a lot better

This was part of our 'Great Sunshine Coast Road Trip'. We selected this motel as it was next door to our K'gari (Fraser) Island day tour. More motel than resort. Easy walk across the road to the Sports Club for meals and drinks. Two doors up was cafe, bakery and other shops. IGA was the other direction about 300 metres away. The beach was walkable distance. The hotel near the beach had nice meals. Our unit was on the first floor with easy steps. There was a nice balcony to have breakfast or a drink on. Bedding was comfortable and clean. Washer and dryer in the bathroom. Kitchenette was large enough to cook meals. Full sized refrigerator and freezer. The unit was a little 'tired' and needs a fresh coat of paint, while the lounge was starting to sag. All in all, it was a good stay.

A great location and very spacious rooms. Everything one needs for a home away from home. Clean and within walking distance to everything, CBD, Shops, Restaurants, clubs, etc. We would stay here again if there was a vacancy. Enjoyed our stay a nice, vibrant area. Our first visit. Although a long distance to drive if you only want to stay a night..a great place for a holiday. The beach was so beautiful.

Clean, spacious room with a comfy double bed and a tv. Plenty of wardrobe space and the room was equipped with a microwave, kettle, small fridge and coffee, tea and sugar. Air conditioning is a massive bonus! The balcony was great with a little table and two chairs, perfect to sit out and watch the sunset. Bathroom supplied towels and small soaps and shampoo and conditioner. The pool had a number of sun beds available and was great to relax.

For 193 a night I expected better It is close to RSL and shops etc The lady at reception was lovely Ground floor room on first looks ok But the you open the sliding door which has microwave fridge and a hodge podge of things Old cleaning clothes. 1 knife 1 fork 1 tablespoon And a sign that says you need to clean what you use and remove rubbish on exit day or you will incur a 100 charge on your credit card it’s evident they didn’t check our room after last customers left

Good Budget family accommodation in an awesome location, very friendly and flexible with check in time. If you are looking for a base while you explore Rainbow beach this might just be the place for you.
