Because I booked the room late, I found this hotel accidentally. It was the first stop when I came to Rovaniemi. I stayed for three days. It was very good. It was right next to the zoo. I even saw the Aurora on the second day after I checked in.

Too hot
No air-conditioning on the room, wich resulted in no sleep. At least +28 celsius on top flor even with Windows open all night!

Wonderful location so peaceful. Stayed in the lodge which was beautiful, so big with 6 beds. Lovely sauna room and a fire place. Staff couldn’t do enough for us so friendly and helpful went out of their way for us. Enough food locations onsite. Zoo was onsite too which we visited in the snow. Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting a break. I would stay here again.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live in one of those bizarre social experiments with glass houses in the middle of a city, look no further than Ranua Resort Igloo! Imagine the thrill of constantly seeing cars full of strangers coming and going, right by your cozy little glass bubble. It’s an incessant parade of peeping toms! And let’s talk about security, or the utter lack thereof – it’s as if they expect the icy wilderness to do all the heavy lifting. The invasion of your privacy is so complete, you might as well be an animal on display at the zoo. So if you’re into public exposure with a frosty twist, this is the spot for you! Otherwise, brace yourself for a stay that’s as enjoyable as sitting in a fishbowl on Main Street. Thumbs way down!
