ACHTUNG! Da steht man nun in Reyjavik ohne Hotel.

Hotel Phoenix has a homey feeling, like a bed and breakfast. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of so many attractions. The cozy room was cleaned daily and there was even turn down service with chocolate on the pillow. Bottled water was in the room too. Having a view of the backyard was really pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful; eggs, cheese, tomatoes, jam, warm rolls, and famous Icelandic Skyrr were some of the items served, in addition to coffee and tea. The owners are amazing. They really know how to run a hotel. It was truly an honor to stay at Hotel Phoenix, for a much needed vacation. Reykjavik, is an incredible city with so much to see and do. Hotel Phoenix is in a perfect location, close to the bus stop, waterfront, shops, supermarket, restaurants, and my favorite community swimming pool. Iceland is awesome, as is Hotel Phoenix. Now it's time to learn the Icelandic language.

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it - the hotel is probably more like a good Irish B&B where personal service is at its best. It is very handily located for access to everything. Advice on all local activities is readily available - breakfast was great and the short chats with the owners were always of interest. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

We had a very nice 2-night stay at hotel Phoenix in Reykjavik It is a small, intimate hotel (9 rooms), very cozy and with a charming decoration. Our room was spacious with lots of light and a little en-suite sitting area. Very clean and very well taken care off It is a short walk to the port and the Harpa concert hall, and there are lots of restaurant options around The hosts (owners) are very helpful and took very good care of us, thank you, and also thank you for the excellent breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay! #Iceland #Reykjavik #HotelPhoenix

Terrible booking process. I have received my confirmation from the hotel and a couple of hours later my booking was cancelled. I have tried to get in touch with the hotel but they didn’t take the phone. The explanation was «due to untrustworthy bank card» - I have tried both debit Visa and a credit Mastercard, both perfectly fine and recently used for my travel arrangements in respected hotels & airlines. I had to change my flights and book a new accomodation. Still no reply from Phoenix. ☹️

Great location for central Reykjavik. The gentlemen that manage the hotel are absolutely wonderful. They were welcoming and considerate hosts, offering a first class service in a beautiful boutique hotel. Everything was faultless and I would recommend everyone stays here at least once in their lifetime to experience just how good hospitality should be. Thank you Hotel Phoenix.

Absolutely awesome boutique hotel. The 2 gentlemen that own/manage it are welcoming, gracious and helpful. They really make you feel like you are staying with friends. The hotel is spotless. The breakfast that they hand make is spectacular with only fresh, local foods. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of the block and can easily be missed. There are only a few rooms so don't expect any amenities like a pool, bar, restaurant. But if you want an incredibly comfortable stay in a convenient part of the city, then this is the only hotel you should consider.
