I wasn’t sure what to expect since I selected this inn based primarily on its proximity to the Georgia O’Keeffe welcome center. I was so pleased that it surpassed all of my expectations. The two-bedroom casita was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable for my wife, myself, and our adult daughter. We enjoyed walking around the beautifully landscaped grounds and making our way across the courtyard to the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The staff went out of their way to find a place for us to dine on the front porch when the patio was reserved for a private event. After a very quiet night, we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast before walking the few steps next door to catch the 9:30 tour of O’Keeffe’s home and studio (with advanced reservations, of course!). Don’t hesitate to stay at this lovely inn on your visit to northern New Mexico!

Oh my gosh, this place is so beautiful. Everywhere you look, there is another unique art exhibit. And the gift shop here is incredible. Comfy beds and rooms, too. It’s a big place that encourages romantic walks around the property. We definitely want to go back to this inn someday!

This is the third time in approximately 15 years that I have stayed at this lovely Inn The rooms are spacious, quiet, and solidly built. The grounds include horses, Donkeys, and an occasional kitten. We ate six meals in three days on the premises and every one was beautifully cooked and tasty. I have traveled a lot in my 72 years and this is one of my favorite destinations.

We’ve dined here several times on day trips from Taos, but this time we stayed for two nights in the Chama Vista King Casita #16. The setting is lovely, situated at the rear of the property, backed up to fields and horse pastures. I was excited to discover a screened porch facing the open space. The king bed was comfortable, with clean linens. However, this space needs much more attention to detail and better cleaning! The porches/outdoor furniture were very dirty. The bathroom has an above-grade sink, and the area behind it was grimy and slimy. The tub had hairs that did not belong to us. We had a kitchenette and used some dishes upon our late night arrival. I went to the front desk the next morning to ask what to do with the dirty dishes and was told that housecleaning does not deal with them. I asked what the protocol was, and no one (including the housekeeper at the front desk) seemed to have an answer. There was no dish soap, no scrubber, no paper towels or clean dish cloths. Do guests clean/rinse them in the bathroom sink to the best of their ability and put back in the cabinets? Nasty! After pressing, a housekeeper brought by kitchen soap and two (hopefully clean) dish towels. But still….using the bathroom (grimy) sink for washing the dishes? Suggestion: don’t provide dishes/pots and pans/utensils unless there is sanitary method of cleaning them. Eliminate! Provide disposable items or none at all. This situation very negatively influenced my perception of the entire experience. Can you tell?

The inn is beautiful but we were shocked by the poor quality of the pull-out bed for our third guest in a room recommended for 3 people. An employee named Randolph was a treasure and helped us solve the problem by laying a cot mattress on top of it, but I just hope they won't recommend that room for 3 again unless they change the bed. Some of the wait staff were excellent and the food very good. The view from our. room was just beautiful, the inn an overall delight, and we would go back again and recommend it to friends.

We arrived late at night so had to use the late check-in box to get our key and found our room in the plaza Blanca. The room looked just like the pictures. Adobe and charming. Tired from the drive we fell into bed. The next day we found a cap to a syringe needle in the bed we had been sleeping in. We came to the lobby and showed it to a young gentleman behind the desk. He looked somewhat surprised about it but not overly concerned. We asked for the bed linens to be changed and he said that housekeeping had already left. He said he would talk to his manager about it. When we returned later that evening the bed was made; we assume clean sheets. No apology was made for finding a syringe cap in the bed and no discount was given. Instead they charged us for another day after we had already checked out. I had to call and inform them them that we had checked out at 6:30 a.m. and were not staying another night. Very bad customer service. We will not stay there again.

Very lovely gardens and large casita. But bed so high you need step to get into. Room needs some updating and maintenance. Eg water very slow to get hot in sink. Patio area wood peeling and lots of leaves in door. It’s Charing and rustic but for price needs a spruce up.

We had a wonderful stay at the Abiquiu Inn. Our original room had a problem which the staff identified before our arrival. They put us in a different room and it was lovely. All of the staff we encountered were welcoming and went out of their way to make our visit great. We especially want to shout out to Randolph and DeAnna. The restaurant is outstanding. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Thanks for making our time in the Abiquiu area so lovely. We'll be back.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at the Abiquiu Inn. The inn is a bit rustic, but very clean and comfortable. We stayed in one of the casitas which gave us more room and a screened-in porch. The grounds are wooded and beautiful, giving the Inn a very tranquil feel.
