If you are going to Mayo Clinic, there is no better place to stay then Kahler Grand! It is connected to the clinic by the subway or a simple walk across the street. The rooms are clean, updated & very comfortable. Parking is also convenient & connected to the hotel. Restaurants are within the hotel, subway system or a short walk. Staff are always friendly, helpful & kind! Mayo wheelchairs are available for use ( to & from the clinic & in the hotel) if needed. There is a swimming pool & workout area also.

The hotel is in a great location with easy access to everything in downtown. Check in was fast and everything was seamless. The rooms and amenities were all nice and clean. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Peter at the front desk was especially pleasant and welcoming!

I really appreciated my stay at the Kahler Grand Hotel! They were very Hospitable and Warm in the way they treated me. Christopher the front desk Manager was very Professional, Prompt, and #1 in showing Hospitality. I also enjoyed the way Angie stepped up to make sure my concerns were addressed. Christopher and Angie both showed Professionalism in making sure our hotel stay was Comfortable and Satisfying. The front desk staff Nashay, April and Peter were very Kind and Exceptional. This is how a Hotel should be! Christopher and Angie will be the reasons for me returning.

I’m local but moved away. I had 20 appointments in 3 days at Mayo so I stayed at THEE Kahler hotel. I was disappointed. I remember hearing about dignitaries and former presidents staying there. I knew the location was prime. It was very clean and I love the historical aspect, BUT the walls are paper thin. The water went from hot to cold and back and forth during my shower. I was shocked that we were charged for parking, for how much we paid for our room and the inconvenience of the lobby remodel they should validate parking.

Great climate control in the rooms. There are a lot of pillows on each bed, and the room had a fridge, microwave, desk, and more. The bathroom was also pretty good. The nearby food is pretty good and the wheelchairs inside the hotel are useful. The downside was that there was a bit of constant noise, but it wasn't enough to really bother me. The other thing is that the TV was a bit outdated, but it had a good selection of channels. We needed to change a reservation, and Zamzam at the front desk was very helpful in doing so. The staff seem pretty good here.

Checked in 4 p.m. Our room was a solid 80 degrees when we walked in (A/C was on high) we called maintanance, they said give it 2 hours.
The room was too hot to be in, so we found something to do for 2 hours only to come in with no change.
Now it's 6:30 p.m. - we got moved to a new room, walked in and it was literally 88 degrees!!!
The A/C was also broken in there. Maintanance tried to fix it and said give it 2 hours.
We went and found something to do again though after a 5 hour drive, we wanted to relax.
8:30 p.m, walked in and abou fainted as it was now topping 90 degrees!!!!
Finally we got a 3rd room late!!!
Credit given was only 50.00 on a 200/night room after wasting over 4 hours of finding something to do and hauling our luggage to new rooms on different floors.
I will never stay here again.
