Roma Mid Town Motor Inn

Second time have stayed here within a year and half. Nothing has changed, first time room was not made when booked in around 3pm and no laundry facilities which is poor service when you have been travelling all week for work and doing 12-13hr days to be told to go around the corner for laundromat. 4 and a half star…..def NOT.

Our room was lovely but the bleachy cleaning product smell nearly killed us when we arrived. We opened the windows and left the door open as long as possible. I'm not sure how anyone with asthma or allergies could have stayed here. We had originally booked another night for our return trip but cancelled it as the smell left us with heaches overnight. Apart from that it was great though - clean,tidy, friendly staff and amazing location that was close to the main street and a variety of food options.

The Roma Mid Town Motor Inn is a convenient place to lay your head for the night. I used to stay here when I was working out this way from 2000 to 2010. now I stay when travelling through the area. Centrally located its a short walk shops, franchise food outlets, restaurants and pubs. There is onsite parking available right outside of your room. It’s our go to motel when we are staying in Roma. Whilst we do recommend it is one of the dearer places we stayed on our 2023 tour. Again this could be a *********** thing.

We stayed for two nights, so that we could visit the Big Rig (Monday ) evening event. The motel was very comfortable, spotless and everything you need is covered, we stayed in room number 2. The staff were friendly & helpful. We had an enjoyable stay & would stay again when visiting Roma.

We stayed overnight here on the first night of our road trip to Longreach. The hotel is simple to find and in easy walking distance to fast food or local dining options plus the two local supermarkets. The room itself was clean, reasonably spacious for two guests, well presented and contained all the expected basic necessities for on-the-road travellers. The bed was comfortable and the shower's water pressure was pretty good. There is undercover parking directly in front of each room & it was nice and quiet being situated off the main street. The pool area looked clean and inviting. The property is definitely not on the newer side, but it has been maintained well and cosmetically updated over the years. We had an easy check-in and out by friendly staff. There is a small tourist brouchure section in the reception area...it would be helpful for late arrivals to town, if this could possibly be more widely stocked with local information of attractions etc both in Roma and in the surrounding towns....not a big deal, just a suggestion.
