"❌ The bed has a faint cigarette smell even though I requested anti-smoke treatment and communicated that I'm particularly sensitive to smoke. Could be due to third-hand smoke which is understandably difficult to get rid off, BUT could still be prevented by making some rooms or one floor strictly smoke free. ❌ The provided two fluffy slippers are actually quite slippery in the elevated area. These aren't waterproof, and because the highlight of this hotel is the bathtub, I personally think It'd make sense to also provide two extra bath slippers that can be used in the shower as well as after bathing. 🟠 The bathrobes are fluffy and thick and would perhaps be more suitable for winter? Considering the baththub and current summer temperaturet, it might be convenient to switch to thinner, towel-like bath robes so that you can throw it on immediately after bathing. ✅ Clean bathtub and mirrors ✅ The whole experience with the tub was amazing. Controlling the water temperature was easy and I experienced no shortage of warm water, it flows out immediately. Bath salt was provided as well ✅ Actual usable television that provides entertainment: Can watch a lot of different content because there is VIP membership installed and you can broadcast all kinds of music. ✅ Pillows don't deflate: they provide actual support to your head. ✅ Can watch TV from the bathtub due to the mirrors ✅ Room looks exactly like the pictures and has the described amenities ✅ Walkable distance to metro ✅ Hair dryer actually has strong windflow and a sufficient hot setting. Girls with long hair rest assured. ✅ Good airco system & bidet toilet ✅ Blackout curtain drop ✅ Convenient communication via Wechat ✅ Rain shower & head shower. Again, warm water was immediate ✅ Innovative desig"

"The service was excellent, very personalized, and responses were super prompt. The environment was great, it had a real Y2K vibe, just like the big hotels I stayed in as a kid. "No problem, I've revised this 500-word positive review for you based on your latest request. This time, I stayed in Chengdu to rest after a self-driving trip back from Aba, and I absolutely have to give it a glowing review! The stay truly exceeded my expectations, so a big thumbs-up is a must, especially for the service, which was absolutely top-notch. From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I felt a warm and professional welcome. The front desk staff not only processed check-in quickly and efficiently but also thoughtfully asked about the purpose of our trip. They kindly upgraded our room type and provided detailed tips on local attractions and dining recommendations, saving us a lot of hassle in planning. I stayed in a one-bedroom suite, and the layout was incredibly well-designed. The bedroom and living room were completely separate, ensuring privacy for rest while offering ample space to move around, entirely free from the cramped feeling of traditional hotel rooms. The room decor felt very homely, simple yet stylish. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and was fully stocked with toiletries, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. During my stay, whether it was room service or any small issue I encountered, the staff always responded immediately with a kind and patient attitude. What touched me the most was that when the cleaning lady tidied the room, she not only cleaned it immaculately but also thoughtfully organized my charging cables scattered on the table and even placed extra bottles of mineral water. These small details of care truly made me feel incredibly warm and appreciated. Although the hotel didn't offer breakfast, there were plenty of dining options nearby, and the places the staff recommended were all excellent. This feeling of being welcomed home completely surpassed the physical facilities themselves, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. In short, this is a hotel that genuinely puts its heart into service. Whether for a business trip or a family vacation, it's an excellent choice. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit and highly recommend it to friends!"

The room looks exactly like the photos, and it's well-maintained. The bedding is really comfortable, much better than some well-known apartments. They offer afternoon tea snacks, and there's complimentary sparkling water in the fridge. The room attendant personally escorted me to the room, which was a really nice touch. A great experience overall.

Absolutely thrilled! The price was great, and the location was super convenient! The whole hotel had a really 'Instagrammable' vibe. My friend and I were both extremely happy with our stay! It's about a 10-minute walk to IFS Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, and there are tons of amazing food options nearby. The breakfast was also delicious and so cute – loved it!

The environment is truly amazing, no complaints there. Even though the decor is a bit old, it's very well-maintained. They offer two cleaning services daily. The turndown service was a bit rigid, though. We were two adults with a small child in a king-sized bed, no extra bed, so we asked for an additional single duvet. Every night, the double duvet was neatly turned down, and the single one folded up… clearly, one adult was sleeping with the child in the double bed, and the other adult was using the single duvet, right? It was a bit frustrating. It's easy to get lost walking around, and you often need to call for a car. Sometimes, like during breakfast or check-out, it can be a little inconvenient. When we were leaving, we called for a car to pick up our luggage. We were on the second floor with no elevator, only stairs. We waited a long time, and then the butler said the person was downstairs. We waited a bit more, and my ride-sharing car to the high-speed rail station was almost here – I was so anxious! I rushed out of the room and saw the staff member leisurely strolling, looking at their phone, in no hurry at all… Ugh… I honestly wanted to yell at them. I told them I was in a hurry, but they still didn't speed up, muttering something about the butler giving them the wrong room number… The butler service was good, though. When we went to the front section of Mount Qingcheng, she proactively offered to take us through the side entrance to the shuttle station for the scenic area, and also offered to pick us up there on our return. That was great. However, whenever I messaged her on WeChat to ask something, or to call a car, or open the side gate, she wouldn't reply after I'd sent the message. Just a simple 'received' would have put my mind at ease, right? But no… Every time, she'd rush me to call her instead… Sigh… Regarding the service, you could say I'm nitpicking a bit, but for a high-end luxury place, it just felt like it was missing something. The minibar was free, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was just okay; compared to the 800 RMB breakfast we had in Chunxi Road, Chengdu, apart from the setting, the food wasn't significantly different… Sigh… But if you ask me if I'd choose Six Senses again if I came back to Mount Qingcheng, I probably would… After all, the emotional value was still delivered, and overall, it was comfortable.

The room was spacious and very clean. Bottled water was provided daily. The hotel is in a very central location, within walking distance from the metro station, Chunxi Road, Taikoo Li, and the iconic IFS building. There are plenty of food options nearby, available from breakfast through late at night. The hotel breakfast was decent. The only downsides were that the bathroom lacked hooks for hanging clothes and there was a noticeable cigarette smell at the hotel lobby and along the corridor. Other than that, the stay was very comfortable.

Despite seeing some negative reviews, I decided to give it a try. My conclusion is that the experience of staying in a star-rated hotel is incomparable to a B&B. I'm not sure if I was upgraded to a business room, but I had a very comfortable stay. The soundproofing was excellent, and it was very clean. All the little details were thoughtfully designed. Although the decor is a bit dated, it didn't detract from the experience. In the bathroom, I even found a retractable clothesline, which was a nice touch. The entire floor felt cozy. I had a great night's sleep. The lobby service was also excellent; even with people coming and going, it wasn't noisy. It felt just like home, leaving me feeling completely relaxed and at ease. (I've stayed in more expensive B&Bs before, and even though they had smart rooms and were spacious, the hygiene couldn't compare. I once had an itchy duvet and couldn't sleep all night. Plus, B&Bs are often located in buildings shared with other businesses, and the breakfast wasn't good.) The hotel is also very close to Chunxi Road. Highly recommended and very satisfied.

The hotel environment is lovely, lush and green. The amenities are also well-developed, and it's very close to the ancient town. The garden room was very quiet, perfect for enjoying the full moon at night, which put me in a great mood. The guest rooms are well-maintained, and the breakfast selection met my expectations. A special shout-out to the front desk team for their warm and responsive service. Overall, highly recommended.

The location on Wangping Street is super convenient! There are many cafes and bars along the river, and you can walk to IFS and Taikoo Li, but I opted for a Didi instead. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with a 24-hour laundry room and gym. They offer unlimited free boiled water, and there's even a robot for room service. Inside the room, there's a Xiao Du smart assistant, a smart bed (with adjustable height and massage modes), and a smart toilet. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly – I give 100 points to the ladies at counter #1 and #5 for their excellent service! I'll definitely be back here on my next trip to Chengdu. The only minor drawback might be that the bathroom and toilet are a bit small and lack hooks, which was a bit inconvenient 🥹

This hotel is super convenient, right next to Exit C of Tonghuimen Station on Metro Line 2. It's just a 10-minute walk to Kuanzhai Alley, 15 minutes to People's Park, and 20 minutes to Tianfu Square. To get to Wuhou Shrine, you can take Line 2, transfer to Line 5 for four stops to Gaoshengqiao Station, and then it's a 10-minute walk from Exit J. The room size is decent, and the decor has a light luxury feel. I really appreciate that the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. There's a vanity right by the entrance. The bedding is a bit soft, so I had to stack two pillows to sleep comfortably. I stayed here for four days and three nights during my trip to Chengdu. The housekeeping staff replenished towels and mineral water daily, and the room was kept very clean. The front desk attendant was kind enough to upgrade my room and breakfast, and even gave me a small souvenir when I left. I'll definitely choose the Mercure Kuanzhai Alley Hotel again on my next visit to Chengdu.

Right next to East Station, and it's a 2-minute walk to the subway entrance. What more can I say? It's hostel prices with hotel amenities. The only minor downside is that there are a bit few washing machines in the laundry room, but then again, for this price, what else could you ask for?
