"Service: The service was excellent. When checking in, they explained all the important details about the hot spring, the room, and the brunch.
Food: We had the half-board option (dinner and breakfast), and the food was delicious – highly recommended! There was also free ramen for a late-night snack, plus a self-service snack area with a beverage machine, beer, and small treats.
Environment: Clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
Overall, if I go to Hakone again, I'll definitely stay here!"

"Great experience. The staff were lovely and the area is beautiful. Rooms are very homely and comfy. We went into the onsen both nights and it was great.
We also got dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was good we were impressed. Overall it felt like a very personal stay and couldn't be happier.
For some of the logistics if you are wanting to do the hakone main loop. We recommend coming in from Shinjuku on the romance car, take the montain train up to Gora and then the cable car to Sounzan. We then took a roughly 10min bus from Sounzan to Yuyu. The next morning we then took the same bus back to Sounzan and caught the first 9am ropeway fo start off the loop. We managed to avoid most of the crowds and it was very convenient.
Once again couldn't recommend Yuyu enough thank you for the great stay!!"

"This modern, minimalist onsen hotel in Hakone Sengokuhara is fantastic! The staff speak English, and it's super convenient to get around with a bus stop right outside, perfect for visiting the nearby museums. The rooms are comfortable and come with a balcony and a kitchen. We stayed two nights and booked dinner both times. One night we had an incredible American-style steak delivered to our room – seriously, it was as good as Wolfgang's! The other night we enjoyed a wonderful Japanese-French fusion dinner, and the waitstaff explained every dish. A truly wonderful stay!"

GGuest UserVery good Japanese-style inn experience! Box Burger is not difficult to find using the location navigation. It is not far from the station, but it looks a bit out of the way. The hotel's own hot spring is also very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the sound insulation is better than expected. The only thing is that there are not many toilets, which may be a bit inconvenient to use.
And remember to try the burgers at Box Burger, they are super delicious!

GGuest UserI really liked the hotel. The price-quality ratio is perfect; I'd even say you could pay more for this comfort. The room was spacious and clean, with a forest view. Fresh linens, excellent breakfasts, and delicious coffee. A mountain lake is a 15-minute walk away. Free shuttle to the cable car. A great onsen. Traditional kemanos for visiting the onsen. Shared showers for women with plenty of skincare products. I would happily return to this hotel.
