Major Tourist trap. Coffee and cappuccinos were horrible. Can’t understand why they serve such a crappy cup of coffee at such an expensive hotel. Capuccinos were watered down and worst we had in all of Italy. Room was so so and lacked adequet plug areas, had to unplug the lamps on both sides of the bed just to plug in iPhones/chargers etc. 1 sitting chair, nowhere to really place anything on so we used and iron the entire time as a catch all. A tiny glass table crowed in the corner with stuff we didn’t need. Lighting was not good at all in the stuffy small bathroom. Absolutely zero counter space to put anything on. Water leaks out of shower all over the floor due to the poor design of the tiny shower door that shuts against another even smaller door on hinges that doesn’t close properly. A/C does not stay on based on temp. There must be some sort of auto off timer you can’t see so I was up a couple of times per night to turn it back on. Pillows are hard as a rock including the sub par bed, tossed and turned the entire time we were there. We will never come back here again.

The room is spotless -sheets are being changed sometimes TWICE A DAY (!),I stayed at the deluxe room which had amazing Roman architectural elements such as extremely highly ceilings with “wavy” ceiling,big windows with antique vibes. The room is modernly designed with great amenities. I give the hotel extra points on using “Acqua di Parma” toiletries, it means a lot in my opinion when a luxury hotel use luxury toiletries. The hotel staff is out of this world -very helpful,very kind and very welcoming. The reception staff is very patient and will go above and beyond in order to help the guest to have the best experience in Rome . Regarding the location -the hotel is 8 minutes walking from the from the colosseum,should I add more ?

Located near the train station, take the bus from the airport to the train station and walk 5 minutes to the hotel. The hotel is still quite lively outside at 12 o'clock in the evening, the safety is good, and the sound insulation is also OK. The overall decoration style is simple and elegant. I stayed 4 nights at Palazzo Montemartini with my family during our Italy trip. The property is very well maintained and the location is convenient (right across the main train station). Very helpful staff and outstanding service all around. They have a beautiful spa, and we even had time for a 1 hour massage with my son, which I highly recommend (they definitely knew what they where doing). Th building itself looks very Roman and historic, but the interior and the rooms have a much more modern feel. They have a nice rooftop terrace wit great views of Rome. The restaurant was also very beautifully decorated with excellent food options to choose from. There was some elevator issues, but I'm sure it was only temporary, besides there are enough elevators to not make it a big deal. I will definitely stay here again next time. Thank you!!!

Deserves to be a five-star hotel, the service is amazing, and the bedding is very comfortable. Excellent location right on top of the Spanish steps. Because I booked six nights, I got a free room with a small balcony. As soon as I entered the room, I was pleasantly surprised. There were welcome fruits and a welcome card with my name printed on it (still bilingual in Chinese and English). The cleaning service is professional and clean. Free water and chocolate every day and a bottle of red wine. There is a Mixing restaurant on the sixth floor of the hotel. Unfortunately, I did not go to taste this time. Before I left, I went to the restaurant on the first floor of his house. Angus steak was superb and delicious. In short, such a hotel is worth going to Rome again.

The hotel is very luxuriously decorated and the rooms are large in size. We also have a welcome wine. Good location, opposite the US Consulate, not far from the Vatican. The Bathtube was chipped, with big rust stains con the marble. The bathroon door hits the bidet every time you open it. The breakfast was very rich but with no meat, because “they’re vegetarians”. When you go to a five stars hotel tou exepct something different. At the check in they even ask for a credit card or a 50 euro deposit in case you finish off their minibar. I was really not pleased.

Me and my friend visited the Cielo terrace bar at Hotel de la Ville. The view of the entire city was magical. We ordered 4 different cocktails and each was unique!! The food we tried was amazing, full of italian flavors. The atmosphere was unforgettable and the service excels and everyone was welcoming and gave us great recommendations on what to order. Definitely worth to visit when in Rome!

This hotel is a lovely oasis away from the tourist areas of Rome. There is a shuttle bus into the centre which is very efficient and we used this every day. Well worth it. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, although dated and we found it very strange that they provided every amenity apart from the two essentials we like in a room - tea/coffee making tray and bottles of water. They did supply 2 tiny bottles which were it till the next day which was nowhere near enough for 30 degrees heat! Very odd for a 5 star hotel to restrict water bottles.... On arrival, we were told our luggage would be sent up to our room but after an hour waiting, went to concierge to try and locate our cases but were told they were too busy and would have to wait till they brought them up. Couldn't take cases up ourselves. The staff in the foyer bar and light dining were excellent and the cocktails were first class. As were the housekeeping staff on our floor who always greeted us with a smile and 'buongiorno'. Breakfast was served either at pool terrace or inside and was extensive choice and very good quality . The scrambled eggs were the best we have ever had in a hotel! Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Cavalieri and would definitely return .
