Been here a few times over the years but it’s been a while since our last visit. The location & views are still spectacular, the staff were their usual friendly/helpful self and the weather was very kind to us but we still came away feeling a bit disappointed. Our deluxe Seaview room felt tired, the bathroom facilities were poor and in need of refurbishment, and the window had condensation in the double glazing which detracted from the view. Surprisingly there was no complimentary water in the room which you would have expected in this standard of room – in summary there was nothing deluxe about the room. We were also surprised to find paper napkins in their fine dining restaurant, no champagne by the glass and no dessert wines on offer – it seems the hotel is cutting corners to save money. We left feeling it was no longer the special place we had once visited and was now just a bit ordinary.

What a fabulous experience. Stayed for one night, B&B and four course dinner package. Firstly, the food at this hotel is superb, honestly would class it as 5* gourmet food. I would stay here again for the food alone. The views from the restaurant are fantastic and the staff are exceptional. The room we stayed in had a beautiful view of the sea. The only minus is that the mattress may need replacing, as it was not the most comfortable. Also the bathroom would require updating, it's a little tired and in need of a makeover. However, I cannot recommed this hotel enough and certainly will plan to go back very soon!

Het Hotel ligt aan een mooi zandstrand bij eb en bij vloed is het strand volledig verdwenen. Het ligt wel wat afgelegen. Aangezien er veel surf activiteit is, staat er waarschijnlijk vaak veel wind en wij hadden er 2 dagen regen. Het is een beetje oude roem, er is betrekkelijk veel achterstallig onderhoud en het ruikt een beetje muf. Wellicht ook door de, wat oudere, tapijten.. Het eten en het ontbijt zijn prima en het parkeren ook. De bar is levendig met veel jonge surfers. Wij hadden een kamer met zeezicht en dit was heel mooi. In de ochtend van de 2de nacht konden we de mooiste en complete regenboog ever bewonderen. We hadden wel last van een afzuiger o.i.d. die 24 uur per dag onder onze kamer lawaai maakte.

Beautiful setting right on the beach. Very friendly staff. Great view from our sea view room. Great beach for walking, surfing and swimming. Will definitely return. Great breakfast with a great view. We couldn't fault anything and we will definitely be going back.

Absolute gem of a hotel, the location would take your breath away. Such a cosy , clean , friendly hotel. The food was fabulous. Staff brilliant, John our barman was absolutely brilliant, keep him. Girls in reception lovely to deal with . Woukd highly recommend here and we will be back.

Very disappointed with our returned visit to the sandhouse hotel, the standard of the room was shabby without the sheik and the standard of the menu and quality of food not up to four star standard. Over rated and overpriced. Will never return again.
