Top 5-Star Hotels in Rostock

If you think this is a 5-star hotel then you've never stayed at a 5-star. Location is great, right at the beachfront. Everything else is mediocre at best. The rooms and balconies are tiny. Some of the employees were really lovely, others were obviously very annoyed by the guests. My wife was treated in a really rude way by one of the employees at the receiption, so she asked for the manager (first time ever she felt she had to do that). The explanation she got from the manager was that they they are aware of that persons behavior, but are short on staff (fachkraeftemangel) and therefore they cant afford to reprimand them. Except for the rooms (renovated), the hotel looks dated, but i guess their focus is on old people which probably like that style from back of the days of the German Democratic Republic (DDR). Overall, i felt like in an overpriced 3 star. Also, bathroom has a large peephole so you can watch from the room whatever the person inside is doing. Swimming Pool has a sewage problem and a slightly unpleasant odor.

We have been guests at the Radisson Blue in Rostock several times. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are very comfortably furnished. The breakfast is very varied, nothing is missing. The beautiful sauna area invites you to relax, bathrobes, sauna towels and slippers are available at the reception. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back soon!

The location is great as it is just next to Rostock main train station, and the hotel offer every guests free local transport pass, a nice gesture for visitors in town. For area of improvement, I think the hotel should have evolve from traditional practice(strictly check-in after 2pm) and allow early arrival guests to check-in as long as room is available.

The Penta Hotels are fun to stay in - my all time favorite is the one in Leipzig. Been here a couple of times. Sadly this time the restaurant was closed, always enjoy hanging out at their bar and munch their bits and pieces.

We visited Rostock for the first time my wife and I. We stayed at Vienna House Sonne for 11 days. On our arrival, we met with Sonja who made us feel at home.. She met us every morning to see if all was perfect.. Indeed, everything was perfect.. the staff was always smiling and ready to help. The hotel is wonderful and very well situated in the heart of Neuw Markt..! All shops and city life at a walking distance. It is a quiet and beautiful four-star hotel. In the suburbs, you need to take three bus stops from the city! About 15 minutes! There is a forest behind the hotel, and the air is fresh and beautiful! The only downside is that the curtains on the windows of the street are only halfway. They can't completely cover the windows, and the privacy is not enough! I don't understand what the Germans think, after the replacement of the room, the front desk helped upgrade to the room facing the woods, there are roller blinds covering the windows, free upgraded rooms, the front desk guys are particularly warm and friendly 😊, impressive!

We were spontaneously for a night there. Beautiful, quietly located hotel. Super nice staff, bar very competent and delicious cocktails. Eating was great. Breakfast for everyone with something. We had eaten on the terrace in the evening and morning, which was very pleasant. Rooms were beautiful, clean and the mattresses did not cause back pain. We had not managed to get the pool and wellness area in the short time. The beach and the Baltic Sea are very close to the beach and is very good at 10 minutes.
