Ibis Rotherham East - (M18 - M1)

Friendly welcome on arrival, car park is available and okay. The room was clean and comfortable.

Simple motorway-side hotel. Good place just to sleep for a few hours. Staff really friendly and helpful and it was spotlessly clean.

I may be biased as i knew the area as Bramley was the area my late wife was brought up

The hotel is very ready a refurbishment, furniture looks dated and worn. Woken up by a couple continuing there celebrating in the room opposite. was screaming and shouting at one another, night manager spoke to them and that made no difference! Moved room at 2:00am.

We stayed here 2 nights whilst visiting family. The staff are brilliant, so welcoming and friendly. We were checked in by Pam who was lovely, she explained the restaurant times etc. What a lovely welcome!! Bear in mind this is a budget hotel, the room was basic but clean and did the job. If you want a bed for your head, this is perfectly fine. Great location with easy access to/from the M18/M1.

Why not give the ibis hotel Rotherham m18 a try we did and we were not disappointed. if you need a good night's sleep good food and fuel and with morrisons on your door step its the place for you. The hotel staff are fantastic from the cleaners to the desk staff.

I booked three rooms for a one night stay, the lady behind the desk had me list all who were to stay in which room, and refused to give me the keys to the rooms I had paid for, because the individuals hadn’t arrived yet and this would make the fire register incorrect, she promised that someone would be on the desk all night and so to check the final arrivals in when we came back to the hotel. So we came back to the hotel and the next receptionist at 2am refused to let us stay because we missed check in. After some back and forth she allowed us to check in the last room then she held us questioning how many of us there was, and again who was staying in which room. I’ve never experienced staff who didn’t want their guests like at this hotel. From the moment I walked in having booked three rooms I felt unwelcome and that I was under interrogation. Not what you want at all. Jo the night receptionist was not nice and I’m unsure of the other nasty lady’s name.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, communication pre stay and during was excellent. Excellent WiFi which was free for guests.

Bedroom was dirty and the bathroom was even worse and 15 years out of date, the staircase area was even worse, hadn’t been cleaned in months. Breakfast was £12 and the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten at a hotel, no choice at all and all done with cheap food, Bar was terrible, didn’t even have lemonade, absolutely no choice of drinks. Woman running it was very grumpy, and not friendly, I understand she’s probably had a long shift, but when people have driven after work to get there on a Friday evening, they want a drink and a friendly reception and bar person.
