My wife booked this place for my 40th (which is actually tomorrow). Tonight is our last night here and I wanted to leave them a review. I don't actually have anything negative to say other than we are moving on tomorrow and I have to pack shortly... I don't like packing! Really accommodating. Extremely clean accommodation. Staff are friendly. Car park is easy to get in and out of. To be totally Frank with you I would definitely stay here again and i really hope i do. It is literally minutes from everything you want or need. There is even a BK and a Mcdonalds a stones throw away. I've never met the management but I would like to thank them for the free chocolates and the room upgrade bexause it was my birthday - little things like that go a long way with me. By the way the locals are really friendly.

The staff at The Arctic City Hotel went out of their way to help us during a very difficult time. Prior to our arrival, our plans were disrupted by the sudden and unexpected death of a family member. We were devastated by the news and were unsure of how to proceed with our travel plans. The staff went above and beyond to help us navigate through changes to our itinerary. We were particularly touched by the staff’s emails offering kind words and condolences. It meant a lot to us. In the city center, but dragged a big box for a long time, then go to the nearby bar to get the key checkin, check out at the door. It is apartment, the elevator is old, the room is new, the layout is reasonable, clean, the facilities are complete, there is kettle and dishwasher. A little taste of decoration. There is a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. Downstairs is the nightclub, but it is too tired to hear the legendary noise. When I arrived, I walked more than a kilometer from the bus terminal. When I left, I went to the No. 8 bus, a few hundred meters away. Luggage can be stored in the bar with the key and the door opens at 10 in the morning. Wi-Fi was not found on the black small device on the bedside table and contacted the owner.

We stayed 3 nights spread out over our week in Rov. Each time check in was a breeze, each room was clean, warm, comfortable and the wet room had lashing of hot water. Perfect after a busy day of activities. The breakfast was exceptional for the price. Try the buttery porridge it’s amazing and I’m 🏴. Boiled eggs,meats, cheese, yoghurt and the best bread for toasting. There is even a kitchen for guests to make their own meals and a funky lounge area. And not forgetting the large sauna. All in this is the perfect base for a holiday,we even used the underground car park. Highly recommend this excellent place and it’s friendly staff

Stayed at Arctic Light Hotel during a conference in Rovaniemi. Got a fairly small top-floor room with a roof window (hence, no view but of the late-summer sky). I think this room was slightly cheaper than a regular room. It was located close to an elevator, which I could hear but it did not bother me. The room was very clean, nice and cozy - and a good place to retreat back to after long conference days. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a good selection of food, yogurts, cakes and coffee. The only downside was getting a thin orange juice from a machine. Fresh juice would have been more appropriate among all the other good food. The two gentlemen at the reception desk, Mark and Max, had a very pleasant manner and provided excellent service and advice. The hotel itself, located in the old city hall, is brilliant and good looking and beautifully designed. Definitely a place to recommend!

The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

Title: ”Defiant stay at Hotel Santa Claus, Rovaniemi” --- During our recent stay at Hotel Santa Claus, Rovaniemi, we experience both positive and negative points. This four-star hotel, located in the heart of the city, promised a charming experience but revealed some failures. Positive aspects: 1. **Central location **: Located in the centre of Rovaniemi, the hotel offers easy access to various local attractions. Negative aspects: 1. **Repeat and disorganized breakfast**: The breakfast offer was not changed, making it monotonous throughout the stay. In addition, the lack of organization and cleaning at the tables was noticeable. Although we were asked to choose a breakfast time, there was no effective control, resulting in confusion and disorder in the buffet. 2. **Lack of cleaning and comfort in the room**: lack of cream in the bathroom and lack of cleaning of the 3. **Insufficient accommodation for clothes**: The biggest difficulty was the absence of an adequate clothes in the room, especially challenging for a family of four people with winter clothes The hotel was located in the hotel, and the breakfast was not organised in the room. in the cleaning and accommodation of the rooms compromise the experience of stay. I would recommend to the hotel managers to review these aspects to ensure that future guests have a more pleasant and comfortable experience.

This hotel is a small centrally located apartment hotel. The building is from 1933 and did survive the war. There are 14 apartments. Everyone has a different decor and the name of the room reflects that. We prefer usually a hotel with full services but this hotel looked so interesting in the photos that we wanted to see it. The check-in time is at 16:00 but at 14:09 I got an SMS that our ICE room is ready. Earlier I already received the codes for the street entrance and our room door. The ICE room is very stylishly lit. There is a big design bathtub and a separate rain shower. You could find high-quality Rituals toiletries, bathrobes, shaving kits, toothbrushes, etc. Every room has a kitchenette with everything one could expect to need. From the fridge, you found the food for your breakfast. It is included in the room price. There was so much food that we ate already part of it in the evening. We didn't see anybody from the staff but you can get connected with them if you want. There was a button for that in the small lobby. Also, there was a comprehensive manual for the room equipment in the room. The light switches were the most complicated part of our room. There is a luggage room with big closets that can be locked. With the street entrance code, you have access there. Our stay had a good value for the paid 192 euros.

The first time I stayed at this hotel, I feel very good. It is very close to the bus station to Santa Claus Village and the airport (opposite the hotel entrance). The hotel has a dedicated luggage storage room, which is convenient for leaving the store in advance. Recommended!

Be careful with the reservations you make on Trip, we reserved a chalet for 2 adults and 2 children, arriving for check-in we were told that Trip only reserved for two adults and therefore the children must be paid extra.
It is not serious for TRIP not to communicate the true price upon reservation. This site lacks transparency (it just notes a remark saying that additional fees may be charged by the hotel for children without telling you how much and especially without telling you that they have only booked for two people). So the worst thing is to have a room that is not even suitable for a family.
At Santa Claus we had to pay 30€/night per child (fortunately we had booked a chalet so it was big enough for 4).
We had the same experience in another hotel over the same period (apukka resort) which charged us €100 per night per child in an igloo, fortunately the igloo allocated to us could accommodate 2 children otherwise we would have been without the possibility of accommodating 4 of us.

GGuest UserWe booked this penthouse to have a nice weekend and enjoy beautiful view from the balcony. We carefully selected a very nice stay among all possible stays in Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland region reading all reviews and making a long research for a high-quality leisure stay. Instead we were forced to listen to around 9 hours of very loud unbearable rock through the whole evening. From 15:30-01 :00 90DB noise for 9 hours (harmful for health) 90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the noise generated by a leaf blower or the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection. One could hear music even in the sauna. After two hours of nonstop noise and starting headache I contacted the host about full refund I got an answer that there is a festival just outside the building. Here is what I got as a reply: ”Is the music coming from outside? There is Santa open air music festival in the park by the riverside going thru the weekend.” Since host did not solve the problem I had to call to San Francisco USA airbnb support to solve the problem. Next reply from host was not apology and problem solving too. It was: ”This is a public outdoor event which have been promoted by the city of Rovaniemi. So it’s a well-known event, which attracts a lot of attention and visitors. We don’t ask our guests why they come to Rovaniemi. I can assume that many of our other guests come specifically because of this festival.” ”You cannot expect us to repost information about all public events in Rovaniemi.” I would not have booked this stay if I would have known that there is a very loud music in the whole apartment all night long non-stop. I do not know if anyone would. Since the attitude towards guest is so ignoring - I do not recommend this host. After getting in touch with Airbnb support I had a message from the host where the host offered second night instead of 82% refund (we would simply go home from that airbnb, the apartment was untouched yet). I accepted the night just to stop stressing. After listening to many hours of loud terrible noise I had a bad head-ache and a bad sleep. I would love to go home and regret making a booking. *it took us 1 hour to find parking outside before we checked-in. We parked on the river shore. Cleanlyness big minus: around toilet all walls in urine, dust on window floors and corners (non-professional cleaning) Hospitality non-professional. Host is interested in getting money, not in providing a nice and responsible service.

GGuest UserThe hotel is not far from the Santa Claus Village and is easily accessible by walking (Just 10 min). First time staying in an Igloo and it is definitely worth the money. Room is small but clean and well-decorated. Breakfast has wide variety of selections. Staff is very friendly and she gave us an Igloo beside the forest which is isolated and quiet. Love waking up every morning lying on the bed enjoying the views of White Christmas Trees surrounding our room. The glass is installed with heater which can melt the frost anytime when needed. The only disappointed is that we didn't get to see Northern Lights for our 2 nights stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in Rovaniemi.

MMok TMSantasport Hotel is an integrated resort with accommodation, trekking, skiing, bike riding, snowboarding and many other winter activities. They have track for all the activities and it was an enjoyable trip to explore the woods during winter.
The hotel has a bowling alley, swimming pool and sauna. It also has a cafe
Checking in and out was a breeze and the staff are friendly and helpful. They attend to all guests need and never fail to impress.
Room size was reasonable and they also have a clothes drying cabinet. Bed is comfy and I had good sleeps. Breakfast was good with quality soread.
Will return to Santasport Hotel if I come for my winter holiday in Rovaniemi.

It is located about 5 minutes on foot from the k supermarket in the city center, and is in the opposite direction from the area where restaurants are gathered.
Although it was the winter season, the sidewalks were cleanly cleared of snow, and after getting off the bus in front of the supermarket, you could walk to the hotel while rolling your carry-on bag.
Not far enough to take a taxi.
There are many houses around and it is quiet.
I didn't use it, but there seems to be a sauna.
Breakfast was delicious. It was a general menu such as bread, ham, cheese, salad, yogurt.
The room was clean, but there was no safe.
There is no partition between the shower and the toilet in the bathroom, so the toilet gets soaked when you take a shower.
Overall, it is a recommended hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel room is not very big and the bathroom is a bit crowded. It can be seen that the decoration has been for a long time, but the health is very very clean. All staff are great. The breakfast is also great. I also prepared a lot of guide information in Chinese to go to Santa Village by car. Very convenient from the airport to the hotel by bus 7 Euros like most European hotels do not provide free disposable slippers and toiletries
