The first time I stayed at this hotel, I feel very good. It is very close to the bus station to Santa Claus Village and the airport (opposite the hotel entrance). The hotel has a dedicated luggage storage room, which is convenient for leaving the store in advance. Recommended!

Check in was quick loved my room. Tub is awesome the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great lots of options. The temperature in room was a bit cold. I spoke with front desk she said there was extra heaters. I declined it was just odd to me that room had no operating heat.

Great location, 5 min. walking from all major restaurants and bus stops in the city center. Very friendly staff. Fast WIFI. Excellent security. You must use your keycard several times (to enter the first floor, the elevator and your room). The breakfast buffet is the best of Rovaniemi! Definitely eat your breakfast here! One thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms. Perhaps it was bad luck, but in the evening both of them were a bit dirty. It could have been the fault of unclean guests though. Some people are selfish and have bad manners.

The Arctic City Hotel was located in a prime spot, perfect to explore the city of Rovaniemi as well as reach the tour operators (our tour operator was Nordic Unique Travels, and they were right across the street). The room was fine, nothing special but had everything you needed, and the bed was quite comfortable. In a lot of other reviews you’ll read negative things about the shower, which we can indeed confirm: super small and water floods half of the bathroom, but then again: when you’re in Lapland, you won’t stay in your room that much anyways! The people who worked at Arctic City Hotel were all very nice, special shoutout to Diana from the front desk! We also had a great vegan dinner at Monterosa, a restaurant part of the hotel. Vegan breakfast was limited. We would highly recommend the hotel if you’re out and about during your stay, and just need a comfortable place to sleep!

The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

Meet the New Year family in this wonderful place. Very glad they didn't make a mistake with the choice. Rest on 5 out of 5. It is really a very beautiful place in nature in the surrounding rivers (or lakes) and mothy oils, but to the city and village of Santa Claus hand to hand on the car. The houses themselves are cute, warm and comfortable, the atmosphere is home. Sound isolation is excellent. There is a sauna, and everything is! The hosts are pleasant and responsive people, thank you very much! All this creates a delightful mood and therefore contributes to a good rest! Minus, if such are, they are completely unwilling to notice. But I'll still let myself have a spoon of degth. Because it was New Year I personally didn't have enough dishes and I would have been good to update it. Well, in general everything is wonderful and we got better than we expected. Place to return! Recommend 100% P.S. Thank you to the big host Tahira for a steep salute on New Year's Eve !!!

When I went there, I didn't know that check-in was done at the front desk of Santa's Hotel, my sister hotel Santa Claus, so I had to walk for about 10 minutes. However, it is easy to check out by simply placing it in the mailbox at the entrance of Santas Hotel Rudolf. They are very comfortable and stylishly furnished, and have many conveniences, such as shampoos, pots and teas, and hair dryers. The reception at the Santa Claus Hotel is very friendly and polite, so it has received more appreciation.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the centre, it's a basic hotel which is clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast is more continental with 3 hot item available.
The only downside to the hotel is their is no safe in the rooms so had to carry all personal items laptop, money, passport etc around with me all the time.
The hotel did offer to put item in their own safe but decided against it.
It didn't put me off staying here again and would return.

We had a very nice stay in this Motel. Rooms comes with the necessary equipments (Kitchenette),you can park your car in front of your Hut, laudry service is for free. Common area is simple but nice with a Hockey table (kind of stiga). Staff was nice and ready to help. Location is perfect since it 10 to 15 minutes away from Santa village and Santa Park. Point of improvment:it would be nice to have the possibility to book a continental breakfast if needed. Anyway we do recommend the place, children had good time building snowmen and running in the snow.

GGuest UserPerfect stay! Arrived on my own and was collected promptly at the airport - was offered to stop at Lidl on the way to collect some groceries. The apartment is really spacious and super warm! The sauna is great; gets up to around 85-90°C. The apartment is located about a 10 minute drive from the city centre or Santa's Village. There is shopping about a 3-4 minute drive. Unless you've rented a car, I would suggest using the offered taxi service which is run by the company. Kitchen has everything you'd need; microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. My only suggestion would be a couple more towels because between showers and saunas, you'd be finished with them very quickly!

GGuest UserWe had an amazingly 4 night stay! The resort and surrounding area is is just so beautiful. After arriving by mini bus, booked via ranua resort, we checked in. The cabin was lovely and warm, even at -26C! Its well equipped. The sauna is also a must!!! we had also arranged a trip to the supermarket, €20, to get milk etc. We later went to get all our snow suits etc. They kept us warm, even at very low temps, just thermal base layers needed. We did several activities. The evening finnhorse was just magical. The 2hr husky ride was brilliant and the dogs are amazing. We also did the snowmobile trip to the reindeer farm. That was an amazing experience, going across the frozen lake! The view was spectacular! We also went in the zoo a couple of times.We had breakfast included, which was lovely, plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant twice, both times the food was good. The highlight though was getting the aurora alert( download app via QR code on info sheet from reception) at 3.15am to see the northern lights! Just an amazing sight on our last night. So clear, even with the naked eye! A perfect end to a magical trip for my 50th birthday! 🥰

WWEISHENThe hotel is about an hour's drive from Rovaniemi. You can write to the hotel to arrange Taxi. You can make an appointment with the hotel front desk to shuttle to the Zoo, and the round trip is free.
A well-equipped glass house with its own sauna. The glass can be heated, and you can see the sky very clearly while lying in bed, and you can really experience watching the aurora in the glass house
The only disadvantage is that you need to drag your luggage to the glass house by yourself. It would be better if you can have someone or a car to check your luggage

667fygur19pWe were visiting Rovaniemi in july 2024. Stayed at Metsahirvas Hotel in Hirvas. Located 15 min by car south of Rovaniemi. Very nice room with toilet and shower. Rather small but comfy with waterheater and coffee or tea to enjoy. Very friendly staff. Hotel has a small restaurant that serves burgers and pizza. There is water,beers and wines. Ate a pizza with ground meat, smoked reindeermeat and lingonberries. That was recommended by the lady in the bar. It was VERY good and really tasty. Breakfast was quite good with homebaked bread and toasts and a selection of ham, salami, marmalades. Cereals in severeal kinds and also som lettuce and tomsto and cucumber..

EEThe Glass Igloo is small and not much space to open the luggage, however they have a very nice hot water shower which has around max. 25mins which you will be able to relax from whole day travel ☺️ . The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.

CCoastal42233567068 I cannot fault the communications beforehand (high floor request met) the cleanliness and facilities of apartment 68 for our 4 night stay were brilliant as too the location. My choosing an apartment over a hotel was for the additional comforts. As a 2 guest apartment I have suggested 2 comfortable chairs or small sofa be provided as I personally do not enjoy lounging on a bed, but neither spending 4 nights on a dining chair! Sadly our discomfort did not end there as we were cold the entire time. The heating was on max and the bathroom was warm but not the living area. Contacting customer services I was told the overall heating was based on the outside temperature ( it was -19 ) and over 24hrs later a heater arrived which was totally inadequate, kept cutting out and having been warned not to leave it on whilst we slept I did not consider it safe. As we had returned late and were departing the next day we discarded it and ended up going to bed. I have seen other reviews where this has been an issue and would of considered it a relative easy fix. The exceedingly good review I could of given has been literally left out in the cold!!

王王In the city center, but dragged a big box for a long time, then go to the nearby bar to get the key checkin, check out at the door. It is apartment, the elevator is old, the room is new, the layout is reasonable, clean, the facilities are complete, there is kettle and dishwasher. A little taste of decoration. There is a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. Downstairs is the nightclub, but it is too tired to hear the legendary noise. When I arrived, I walked more than a kilometer from the bus terminal. When I left, I went to the No. 8 bus, a few hundred meters away. Luggage can be stored in the bar with the key and the door opens at 10 in the morning. Wi-Fi was not found on the black small device on the bedside table and contacted the owner.

GGuest UserA lovely cosy place to stay, however the location really is in the sticks where transport is limited to around 3 buses to or from the city with the last bus arriving at 7pm. But the room was great and extremely warm in the minus 15 degrees temperature.
