Great location, 5 min. walking from all major restaurants and bus stops in the city center. Very friendly staff. Fast WIFI. Excellent security. You must use your keycard several times (to enter the first floor, the elevator and your room). The breakfast buffet is the best of Rovaniemi! Definitely eat your breakfast here! One thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms. Perhaps it was bad luck, but in the evening both of them were a bit dirty. It could have been the fault of unclean guests though. Some people are selfish and have bad manners.

Meet the New Year family in this wonderful place. Very glad they didn't make a mistake with the choice. Rest on 5 out of 5. It is really a very beautiful place in nature in the surrounding rivers (or lakes) and mothy oils, but to the city and village of Santa Claus hand to hand on the car. The houses themselves are cute, warm and comfortable, the atmosphere is home. Sound isolation is excellent. There is a sauna, and everything is! The hosts are pleasant and responsive people, thank you very much! All this creates a delightful mood and therefore contributes to a good rest! Minus, if such are, they are completely unwilling to notice. But I'll still let myself have a spoon of degth. Because it was New Year I personally didn't have enough dishes and I would have been good to update it. Well, in general everything is wonderful and we got better than we expected. Place to return! Recommend 100% P.S. Thank you to the big host Tahira for a steep salute on New Year's Eve !!!

The Arctic City Hotel was located in a prime spot, perfect to explore the city of Rovaniemi as well as reach the tour operators (our tour operator was Nordic Unique Travels, and they were right across the street). The room was fine, nothing special but had everything you needed, and the bed was quite comfortable. In a lot of other reviews you’ll read negative things about the shower, which we can indeed confirm: super small and water floods half of the bathroom, but then again: when you’re in Lapland, you won’t stay in your room that much anyways! The people who worked at Arctic City Hotel were all very nice, special shoutout to Diana from the front desk! We also had a great vegan dinner at Monterosa, a restaurant part of the hotel. Vegan breakfast was limited. We would highly recommend the hotel if you’re out and about during your stay, and just need a comfortable place to sleep!

🚗 Traffic: The only drawback is that it's really far away and you can take a taxi anywhere. There is a hotel special bus in the morning but it's missed. Everything else is fine.

Checking in and out was a breeze and the staff are friendly and helpful. They attend to all guests need and never fail to impress.
Room size was reasonable and they also have a clothes drying cabinet. Bed is comfy and I had good sleeps. Breakfast was good with quality soread.
Will return to Santasport Hotel if I come for my winter holiday in Rovaniemi.

The hotel is located on the mountain east of the city. The environment is very quiet. It overlooks the Kemi River. The hotel is well decorated and feels very petty. The hotel has a rooftop, which is suitable for driving the aurora. There is a ski resort next to it. Convenient. If you rent ski equipment, you still need to go down to the mountain. The hotel’s breakfast is exquisite. I also had reindeer liver sauce. The hotel’s restaurant requires advance reservations and the dishes are very good. The disadvantage of the hotel is that the location is relatively remote, it is not convenient if it is not for self-driving. Extra bed and breakfast for children will be charged 35 Euros. The hotel does not provide slippers and toothbrushes.

The Santa Holidays Village hotel is great for families.
Be careful with the reservations you make on Trip, we reserved a chalet for 2 adults and 2 children, arriving for check-in we were told that Trip only reserved for two adults and therefore the children must be paid extra.
It is not serious for TRIP not to communicate the true price upon reservation. This site lacks transparency (it just notes a remark saying that additional fees may be charged by the hotel for children without telling you how much and especially without telling you that they have only booked for two people). So the worst thing is to have a room that is not even suitable for a family.
At Santa Claus we had to pay 30€/night per child (fortunately we had booked a chalet so it was big enough for 4).
We had the same experience in another hotel over the same period (apukka resort) which charged us €100 per night per child in an igloo, fortunately the igloo allocated to us could accommodate 2 children otherwise we would have been without the possibility of accommodating 4 of us.

The hotel is not far from the Santa Claus Village and is easily accessible by walking (Just 10 min). First time staying in an Igloo and it is definitely worth the money. Room is small but clean and well-decorated. Breakfast has wide variety of selections. Staff is very friendly and she gave us an Igloo beside the forest which is isolated and quiet. Love waking up every morning lying on the bed enjoying the views of White Christmas Trees surrounding our room. The glass is installed with heater which can melt the frost anytime when needed. The only disappointed is that we didn't get to see Northern Lights for our 2 nights stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in Rovaniemi.

We had a very nice stay in this Motel. Rooms comes with the necessary equipments (Kitchenette),you can park your car in front of your Hut, laudry service is for free. Common area is simple but nice with a Hockey table (kind of stiga). Staff was nice and ready to help. Location is perfect since it 10 to 15 minutes away from Santa village and Santa Park. Point of improvment:it would be nice to have the possibility to book a continental breakfast if needed. Anyway we do recommend the place, children had good time building snowmen and running in the snow.

A well-equipped glass house with its own sauna. The glass can be heated, and you can see the sky very clearly while lying in bed, and you can really experience watching the aurora in the glass house
The only disadvantage is that you need to drag your luggage to the glass house by yourself. It would be better if you can have someone or a car to check your luggage

GGuest UserPerfect stay! Arrived on my own and was collected promptly at the airport - was offered to stop at Lidl on the way to collect some groceries. The apartment is really spacious and super warm! The sauna is great; gets up to around 85-90°C. The apartment is located about a 10 minute drive from the city centre or Santa's Village. There is shopping about a 3-4 minute drive. Unless you've rented a car, I would suggest using the offered taxi service which is run by the company. Kitchen has everything you'd need; microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. My only suggestion would be a couple more towels because between showers and saunas, you'd be finished with them very quickly!

GGuest UserWe had an amazingly 4 night stay! The resort and surrounding area is is just so beautiful. After arriving by mini bus, booked via ranua resort, we checked in. The cabin was lovely and warm, even at -26C! Its well equipped. The sauna is also a must!!! we had also arranged a trip to the supermarket, €20, to get milk etc. We later went to get all our snow suits etc. They kept us warm, even at very low temps, just thermal base layers needed. We did several activities. The evening finnhorse was just magical. The 2hr husky ride was brilliant and the dogs are amazing. We also did the snowmobile trip to the reindeer farm. That was an amazing experience, going across the frozen lake! The view was spectacular! We also went in the zoo a couple of times.We had breakfast included, which was lovely, plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant twice, both times the food was good. The highlight though was getting the aurora alert( download app via QR code on info sheet from reception) at 3.15am to see the northern lights! Just an amazing sight on our last night. So clear, even with the naked eye! A perfect end to a magical trip for my 50th birthday! 🥰

667fygur19pWe were visiting Rovaniemi in july 2024. Stayed at Metsahirvas Hotel in Hirvas. Located 15 min by car south of Rovaniemi. Very nice room with toilet and shower. Rather small but comfy with waterheater and coffee or tea to enjoy. Very friendly staff. Hotel has a small restaurant that serves burgers and pizza. There is water,beers and wines. Ate a pizza with ground meat, smoked reindeermeat and lingonberries. That was recommended by the lady in the bar. It was VERY good and really tasty. Breakfast was quite good with homebaked bread and toasts and a selection of ham, salami, marmalades. Cereals in severeal kinds and also som lettuce and tomsto and cucumber..

EEThe Glass Igloo is small and not much space to open the luggage, however they have a very nice hot water shower which has around max. 25mins which you will be able to relax from whole day travel ☺️ . The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.

王王In the city center, but dragged a big box for a long time, then go to the nearby bar to get the key checkin, check out at the door. It is apartment, the elevator is old, the room is new, the layout is reasonable, clean, the facilities are complete, there is kettle and dishwasher. A little taste of decoration. There is a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. Downstairs is the nightclub, but it is too tired to hear the legendary noise. When I arrived, I walked more than a kilometer from the bus terminal. When I left, I went to the No. 8 bus, a few hundred meters away. Luggage can be stored in the bar with the key and the door opens at 10 in the morning. Wi-Fi was not found on the black small device on the bedside table and contacted the owner.

GGuest UserA lovely cosy place to stay, however the location really is in the sticks where transport is limited to around 3 buses to or from the city with the last bus arriving at 7pm. But the room was great and extremely warm in the minus 15 degrees temperature.
