Brownsover Hall

This hotel is in a beautiful setting, convenient for Rugby and the M1/M6. The grounds and building are beautiful, although there are signs of neglect. We stayed in a suite in the Stables, it was tired, which I knew from the photos online but our bathroom had hair in the bath and clogged in the plughole. The shower didn't run hot and the toilet flush was poor. Breakfast was mediocre at best, lots of hot food had run out with no-one keeping an eye, we had to ask for items to be brought out. The staff were 50/50 - some very pleasant but some disinterested, one of the receptionists didn't even give us directions to our room properly suite. If some money was spent on improving the rooms and building I would have been happy to pay more, it is a real shame is the potential is immense!
The Rugby Hotel

Unsure what to expect as the hotel was mid refurbishment and there were several bad reviews. We had two bedrooms which were both well equiped, especially the bathrooms which had exceptional fittings and decoration. There is a really pleasant bar serving a variety of moderately priced drinks, a separate breakfast room where there is a good choice of quality products to suit any taste, and a separate function room which can accommodate around 50 sitting guests. Located in the centre of Rugby it is close to many restaurants, bars, shops and of course the Rubby Museum. No on site parking, but reasonably priced parking is available less than five minutes walk away; vehicle access to the hotel is available before 11 a.m. and after 4 p.m. to allow for baggage to be unloaded/loaded. The evening menu is currently pub style offerings which should be upgraded once the refurbishment work is complete. Very friendly staff and well worth a visit.

My partner and I recently stayed at Premier Inn, and it was perfect for a getaway. The check-in process was quick and efficient, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome right away. The room was modern, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, good lighting, and plenty of outlets for charging devices. The bathroom was spotless, and the walk-in shower had excellent water pressure The hotel’s location is ideal, close to many beautiful places for romantic walks , but still peaceful and quiet, allowing us to fully relax and reconnect. We didn’t eat at the hotel, but we will give it a try next time we are coming here for a getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Premier Inn to any couple looking for a weekend escape.

Stayed here in a triple room recently with friends on a trip to Rugby. Reasonably priced and within walking distance of the town center, not the most spectacular hotel but it was perfect for our needs. The staff were very friendly and helpful also.
