We wanted a mini break for my family. The hotel is absolutely stunning,great facilities,restaurants.bar,spa .Grounds Ellie greeted us on arrival & showed us round .Such a lovely greeting made us feel very welcome.All the staff are very friendly & they make sure everything is perfect throughout your stay .Our food in moorish restaurant was again excellent.Staff gave us great service,making sure we had all we needed.The buffet is a great addition.All the food was absolutely delicious & very tasty. The spa experience was out of this world.Mia & jas showed us round & pointed us in the right directions for interior pool ,jacuzzi,sauna,steam room,outside pool . We also each had a full body massage.I have to say that was the best massage I’ve ever had .Great communication on needs ,right pressure.A definite must to de stress your body.Afterwards we relaxed in the Himalayan salt room .If your looking for a excellent hotel to stay in .You definitely won’t be disappointed. I stayed here a couple of times but the last time was the last! I booked in and paid in advance then on the day, I checked in and offered my photo ID as I had done previously and it had been accepted before, however on this occasion I was refused check-in as they had now decided only a passport would be acceptable which I didn’t have. The unhelpful staff and then the manager offered no solution and just shrugged and said “nothing we can do”. It should again be noted that my photo ID was acceptable before but not now – it should also be noted that the confirmation email only requested “photo ID” which I provided. No specific ID was asked for. So it seems this hotel makes up the terms and condition s as they go and seemingly change them when they feel like it! The room had been paid for so there was no chance of my running off without paying. After some time I finally resolved this by my husband racing home and emailing a copy of the passport which was grudgingly accepted otherwise my I was looking at nowhere to stay after an early, start at 4 a.m., a very long day then finally the hopeless staff at this place refusing entry to a customer who had paid way in advance causing a lot of stress! The receptionist told me they needed the passport to verify the address – however my address is not in the passport so this is a bit confusing. The manager confirmed this as well as confirming no entry and no help. This is really terrible service as they could have easily verified the address with other documents I had but this was not accepted – my ID clearly showed me as senior management at a local large organisation but the staff were unhelpful and seemed totally disinterested that I would have nowhere to stay – this part of London gets booked quickly hence my booking way in advance so the likelihood of getting a room somewhere else was very remote. It would have been simple to verify me but the staff were more interested in being difficult. So my feeling is the staff had maybe screwed up with another customer and had decided to ad hoc changes to the terms leaving me almost stranded. It could also have been a method of releasing a room for someone else – maybe a friend of the hotel. Who knows but I would be very careful using this place as they seem to have some very dubious and “flexible” terms for staying here and you may get caught out. I will never book here again and as a vice president of a large global organisation that hosts many international clients, I would certainly not recommend this place. It's short sighted of this hotel to be so unhelpful as they will have lost business but their lack of help displays a clear lack of interest in the customer. Please book here if you are happy to risk sleeping on the park bench instead of a hotel room! We stayed one night whilst walking the Thames Path. We arrived early and the staff found us somewhere to store our bags, so we could go off and explore the town. The hotel is old with uneven floors but this adds character, When we checked in and were shown to our room it was beautiful with a balcony looking over the Thames, where we sat and had a drink. Every seemed luxurious, the bed linen, the towels, the toiletries. Although there is a bar below and outside seating, we were not affected by noise. We also ate in the restaurant (booking is advised) and again it seemed a cut above. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was again good quality. All the staff were friendly and helpful even looking to move tables round so we could sit overlooking the river. Highly recommended and looking to return in the future for a getaway.

Although I reviewed this hotel back in June, I thought I would give an update on our last, and definitely final, visit to this hotel. In July we stayed at the Sheraton for one night and parked our car at the hotel for 3 weeks. After midnight, when we had gone to bed, we heard a high powered car being revved and raced around the car park. Yes, someone was using the car park as a race track, using the cars parked there as the edges of the track! Someone else was taking pictures on their mobile phone. We contacted reception, who sent out a security guard and another member of staff. They, however, obviously knew the people racing the car and had a good laugh and joke with them before returning to the hotel, leaving the racers still revving their car and taking photos. I took photos too (attached). My wife was incensed by this total lack of interest from the hotel, and stormed down to reception. One of the people who had gone out to the car was there, plus the duty manager looking rather sheepish. They apologised with a grin on their faces and seemed to think that it was totally acceptable to them that this was going on as the people racing the car were members of staff!!! An incredible attitude. And it was obvious from their reaction that this was not a first time occurrence. Realising that we weren't going to get anywhere with the totally useless members of staff, and as by now the racers had left, we decided to raise the problems with a senior member of staff the following day. A couple of the managers we spoke to on the following day were disgusted at what had happened the previous night. Unfortunately they had already handed in their resignation as they weren't happy with the way the hotel is being run. So decide if you're happy to leave your car at a hotel that condones its staff using the car park as a race track and what damage they could do to your car. Remember, any damage to your car is not the responsibility of the hotel, even if it's their own staff who have caused the damage! Please read the other reviews regarding cars being damaged at this Hotel. I posted a review on the Marriott website and received a very defensive response from the front desk duty manager. She apologised for the fact that staff were racing cars in the car park but didn't seem to really take it seriously. This experience, combined with the non-working air conditioning in the bedrooms, the tvs in the bedrooms that often don't work, the gaffer-taped tatty old carpeting in the hallways, the scruffy pool area that is hardly ever swept clean, the downgraded quality of the Club Lounge and the withdrawal of the Club concierge service seems to be indicative of a company seeking to justify changing the branding of this hotel to one of Marriotts budget brands. However, they're still charging 4 star prices for a hotel that now struggles to give one star service. Shame on you Marriott for ruining a formerly very good quality hotel. I have would have given our 1 night stay here a 4* review because the staff were lovely and our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. BUT the bedroom and restaurant were freezing (the lovely waitress said she thought ”they'd turned off the heating”) such that my wife had her dinner with a hot water bottle in her lap, the envy of other diners who had to keep their coats on whilst they ate! The thermostat in the bedroom could not be set at above 17.5 degrees. In addition, we had booked the room Mowbray because it had a lovely stand alone bath in it - BUT THE WATER WASNT EVEN TEPID! so no pleasure to be had there. The impression we got was of a place where the staff were trying to do their best and were charming throughout, but the business might be struggling to pay the increased energy costs that we all face nowadays. I would rather have paid more and had proper hot water and a warm restaurant!

Great stay with very friendly and welcoming staff. All right alongside the river, where you can enjoy your evening meal or a quiet drink. And you definitely won't go hungry at breakfast time. As someone famously said. I'll be back! 😀

We arrived and parking was good and nearby. As a disabled blue badge holder, there was a good amount of disabled bays and it was free when I presented my blue badge at reception. Check in was quick and efficient. Only one of the two lifts was working, but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so this wasn’t a problem. We had a room for 2 adults and a child, so a double bed and a bunk bed. The room was small, but we only needed it to sleep and so it wasn’t a problem. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. The floor was so filthy, that we just threw our socks away because of how black they were. The mattress on the single bunk bed was absolutely disgusting. I have attached photos. The sheet was just a piece of material folded in half, and wasn’t tucked in or anything which is how we noticed the dirty mattress. It was late when we noticed it, so I sent photos and an email to reception, who immediately offered us breakfast free of charge. We declined the breakfast as we already had reservations elsewhere, and we saw that breakfast was very poor with little on offer. The manager then replied and refunded our stay and cleaned the room. The management/reception team were lovely and sorted things swiftly. We would stay again and have stayed in many Ibis hotels, but I will be checking the cleanliness of them closely in future.

After a 12 hour flight, staying at Moxy was a welcome relief. Check-in was easy and the front desk staff were very welcoming. They explained everything we needed to know so we could enjoy our stay. The room was spacious for a family of 4, it was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing. There was a large selection of food and drinks ajd was a great wah to start the day. There is a small gym on the ground floor which is well stocked with a variety of exercise equipment. The theme and decor of the hotel is modern and artistic. Locstion wise, it is easy to get to from Heathrow Airport. Overall, we had a great stay and wished it could have been longer.

I know i will arrive London Heathrow late. So I tried to choose a hotel not far from airport to crash out a night before heading to London. I choose Holiday Inn Slough Windsor because I think instead of stay in airport hotel, at least I can go take a look at Windsor castle in the morning - there is no much different between 20 minutes Uber and 12 minutes to most of the airport hotel near Heathrow Airport. In fact I arrived 4 hours later than I should be - checking in after midnight...very smooth. As I am Platinum member of IHG member , I was pre-assigned executive room on 8th floor. Looking inside room, I have to say this room is better than my expectation of Holiday Inn: with Lavazza Coffee Machine, with slipper and all necessary amenities. In the morning I called a Uber to Windsor Castle just take a look. It cost between 7 - 9 pounds one way, about 8 minutes. Hotel to Slough Station, another 8 pound, about 6 minutes. Slough Station to Paddington, 10.8 pounds on GWR , 18 minutes. Overall the 2 hotel staffs I met, all very kind and friendly, everything is very smooth, everything works. It is by far better than a convenient hotel only , it is a very decent hotel and especially if you drive , there is ample car park, and good value to visit London and nearby area.
