My husband and I booked the King Deluxe, and upon inspecting the room, I can see that the furniture was not cleaned, it was old and dusty and had stains on it. The carpet looked like it hadn't been clean in years. The room had a bad smell to it, the bathroom area was pretty decent. I've stayed at Ameristar a few times, and I can honestly say, this was one of the worse experiences I had staying there. Ameristar PLEASE DO BETTER!

Beautiful, clean hotel and friendly staff. Loved being so close to the historic district. There were so many great shops and restaurants in the historic district. Unfortunately, a lot of the hotel restaurants were not open the 2 nights we were there but the Cafe had a great breakfast. Hotel was very clean and I heard they will be doing room renovations in 6 months. Our shower drain was very slow to drain and we had to turn the shower off several times before we were finished and I let the front desk know as we left since our visit was so short. I also loved that the hotel did not smell like cigarette smoke. You did not smell it until you entered the ******. The non-smoking section was upstairs in the ****** and unfortunately smelled like horrible cigarette smoke so we left. We did not plan on ******** much anyway so it did not bother us. We would come back here again.

Ameristar is always 1st class. We had a good time. Wish more of the restaurants were open at the hotel, but there are many nearby.

The hotel and ****** were great. Tried one of the restaurants but couldn’t get served after 10 minutes so we left. Tried another and they were closed for remodeling. Ended up at a nearby place, which was excellent!

We stayed 2 nights. Everything was beautiful but we did not know the hot tub was closed, the spa and nice restaurants were closed on Tuesday and Wednesday which was when we were there, and the ****** was closed for 12 hours for upgrades. We had to leave and go out for dining and entertainment. Most of the nicer restaurants and shops on the historic Main Street were also closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. We visited the spa on Thursday. Nice and clean but overpriced compared to comparable quality spas. I had tried to call the front desk ahead of reservations to confirm amenities but hung up after waiting for 35 mins. Phone in room did not work
