Stayed in the cypress cabin. It was much bigger than expected. Comfortable beds and nice amenities. Did the day and night tours and enjoyed them both. Great guides. They were very informative. Of course the grounds are beautiful.

If you don’t take it too seriously it’s actually quite good fun. We started with the evening ghost tour, with our tour guide dressed in period costume. An entertaining performance with creepy stories for each room in the house, and all the lights turned down low for extra atmosphere. We stayed the night in one of the suites but have to inform you that we actually had a really good sleep with no bumps in the night to report. It’s a lovely building and a rare opportunity to spend the night in such a place. The restaurant is ok, but our over confident waiter, who didn’t write our order down, brought two completely different meals out to us and frankly the complimentary dessert (one portion between two) really didn’t cut it. I overheard the fella behind the bar asking his colleague which bottle was the house white and noticed him pouring sparking wine into a red wine glass, so I think a bit of staff training wouldn’t go amiss but all in all we enjoyed ourselves and are glad we went.

The grounds are beautiful and so is the home, but the history tour wasn't much history pertaining to the property. It was very shallow, we mainly learned about the furniture and the homes design. We did hear some stories about the families living in the home, but without much detail. My biggest complaint is how they didn't mention slavery, which I find disrespectful and dismissive considering this plantations history. I understand it may be a somber topic, but l personally think that's the point of a history tour. All integral history should be mentioned, not just the pleasant parts. When asked a question pertaining to slavery, our guide(who tried his best) uncomfortably answered and immediately changed the subject. I just found it odd for a plantation tour to revolve mainly around fancy home decor. I expected much more, as I went to Oak Alley the day before and had a wonderful tour which was both insightful and informative, showing both sides of history in a very matter of fact manner. I would definitely recommend Oak Alley if you're interested in history, as The Myrtle's Plantation missed the mark on using their tours to educate, rather than entertain.

Magnifique demeure au calme avec un superbe jardin. Nous avions notre chambre située dans l’annexe de la principale maison. Chambre au calme, décorée avec goût. Salle de bains fonctionnelle. Petits déjeuners servis dans le salon-bar. Personnel souriant.

We had a great tour at the Myrtles Plantation. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the stories and history of this home. The rooms were beautiful and represented the time period that the owners who lived here experienced. We had hoped to eat at the restaurant, but our group didn’t want to wait until 5 pm for the restaurant to open. I’ve eaten there before and truly enjoyed the food.

The history of the plantation is fascinating and the tour guides are very knowledgeable. They really bring the past to life and make you feel like you're stepping back in time. The architecture of the old mansion is stunning, and you can just imagine what life was like for the people who lived there. I highly recommend visiting this plantation if you're in the area. It's a truly unique and memorable experience that you won't soon forget. And who knows, maybe you'll even encounter a ghost or two on the nighttime tour!

The tour was very informative. Pandy was very knowledgeable and answered all sorts of questions for us. Highly recommend her as a tour guide. We did the historical tour but definitely want to go back and do the mystery tour. We had a paranormal experience while there. Very interesting…

I came for the evening ghost tour because I had seen the Myrtles on TV growing up, and it was a short drive from New Orleans. I really enjoyed experiencing the stories in person and being with a group of enthusiasts. Though I didn't really experience anything super spooky, I enjoyed myself.

Rani Day was incredibly knowledgeable and detailed! We fully enjoyed her tour and walking the house with her. You can tell Rani really enjoys what she does! She allowed time for pictures, story telling and questions! We highly recommend the spooky tour!
