I had a 1 night stay here on a Thursday night in Aug 2022. I am Titanium Lifetime with Marriott and was booked on the government rate. The hotel is in a great location downtown in Salt Lake City, within walking distance of various sights, restaurants, and bars. Parking was convenient and is provided in a garage for a cost of $17 per night. Check-in was easy but the man at reception was not very pleasant, not rude either, just maybe having a bad day. The hotel is very new, clean and modern. The lobby has a fresh look and is welcoming. The bar and breakfast location are also on the first floor just off the lobby. Breakfast ($17 pp) is a very European buffet (meats, cheeses, Nespresso,..) which at first seemed a little expensive but after I looked at the offerings further I saw lots of fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fresh baked breads and jams, cereals and other items that made it well worth the price for a fresh morning start!. The gym was a nice size with a universal machine, a rack of dumbbells (5-50lb), a few treadmills, and bikes, and plenty of room to stretch. Water and towels were also provided in the gym along with a foam roller and a yoga mat. I used a suite night award and was upgraded before my arrival from a basic king room to a corner king room. It was a nice size with views to the north and west of the city. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped with all the necessary modern outlets and room lighting controls. It also had a fridge with 2 free waters. A great feature of this hotel is that on every floor there is a "Hydration Station" with carafes that you can fill up and take to your room when you need water (so many hotels try to make you buy their water bottles, this is great way to help decrease the environmental impact and make the guest happy). When staying in Salt Lake City again, I will certainly try to stay here if available.
