There was NO RESERVATION upon arriving at the hotel!!! This website is a total scam/fraud!!!! Do not use!!!

This was my first at this resort. My husband and I really enjoyed our spa experience. When you book an appointment you have access to the spa pool, steam room and sauna at any time during that day.
It was nice they had an adult area and a family area for pool lounging.
Having a nature trail was a plus! Plenty to do at the resort, make sure to check the calendar for events happening.
The food at Primero cantina was not good and not to my liking.
Shuttles are available to La Cantera shops and to fiesta texas.
We dined at Signature which was a really great place for a date. The red snapper was delicious!
Overall had a great experience.

Cabana that I rented for 4 hours for 600.00 was dirty and we had no towels. When checking out I waited for 45 minutes and no one ever came to get my luggage. I went to the front desk to get a luggage cart and they refused to give me a luggage cart. I had to carry my luggage from my room to the front desk to check out.

The pool and staff at the pool were awesome. The golf course was magnificent. However, the refrigerator in the room did not work. The air conditioner would not cool the room fully. And we were charged double for our stay, once through ******* and then we were charged the entire bill again through La Cantera. It took several phone calls and eight days after I returned home to get the bill corrected. We Booked 4 rooms for eight people and were charged about $15,000. We paid over $7000 to ******* before our trip and charged another $8000 from La Cantera. STRESSFUL

It was wonderful to be genuinely welcomed and cared for by such a professional and sincere staff. The Chief Concierge is a delight and full of knowledge for the visitor. The cappuccino at Henrietta's is the best. Order drinks at Sire Bar and then sit in the grand parlor to people watch and watch the sunset. The rooms are super clean, comfortable and well appointed. The adult infinity pool is peaceful and has stunning views of the surrounding hills. A very special retreat from the busy city life and we look forward to returning.

La Cantera is a serious competitor for Hyatt Hill Country and JW Marriott San Antonio. Having stayed at all three, I would argue that La Cantera is the best location for an adult getaway. The restaurant selection is impressive, pool service responsive, valet incredibly fast, and lobby is beautiful. That said, the downsides are: (1) Pools are not as expansive as other resorts. We were looking forward to the adult pool but it had been taken over by a loud bachelorette party so we opted for the family pool, which is still fairly small compared to the other resorts. (2) Rooms show a lot of wear and tear. When this resort was new, I'm sure it really stood out in contemporary luxury. The bathrooms and carpets, however, are showing their age. Decent condition but not for the price. (3) Staff, especially valet and wait staff, were very friendly. The pool staff are very strict about wearing the hotel bracelet to show you aren't crashing the pool. They can be overbearing about this to the point of being obnoxious/ insulting. (4) Location is great. A quick drive to Six Flags and to shopping. Not having to go into San Antonio proper was a relief having driven for a couple hours already to reach the resort.
