Residence Inn San Ramon

We only stayed one night, but the room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I did not like was to be told that I was being charged $10 for parking upon checking out. I was never informed during Trip.com's booking, nor during check-in. The front desk attendant did negate the charge, but seemed to do so with hesitance and a look of "I'm doing a huge favor for you". She was not openly rude, but it was apparent that my complaint was not well received. I would wholly prefer that this fee is simply included in the cost of the room. As well, the parking in the compact car parking was certainly that - compact! I was driving a 2022 Genesis (a compact car) and the spaces are a bit cramped (yes, other compact vehicles were beside me).

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude towards the GM Christopher Knorr. Upon checking in at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to see Mr. Knorr personally assisting with the check-in process. It was a unique experience for me, as I have never encountered a general manager being so involved in the daily operations. Mr. Knorr, your presence at the front desk truly made me feel valued and appreciated. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality during my stay. I wanted to mention that I appreciate the convenient layout of the property, with everything being easily accessible by foot and the ability to cook in the room, giving it a homely feel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. Thank you once again, Mr. Knorr, for making me feel so welcomed.

A great place to stay that much exceeded my expectations. We came to San Ramon just to visit our aunt for a couple of days before driving back to San Francisco. I give it 5 Stars because of the "overall value" and not because it was luxurious (it won't be luxurious as more a basic hotel). Our 2 bedroom was nicely spaced and clean. Having a pool and hot tub is so nice. Sleep is always an important factor and I would say the mattress was one of the very best every stayed - better than the fancy and expensive Atlantis Bahamas or even Bellagio (of course I love those places for other reasons - just commenting solely about the mattress) and after spending all flying to San Francisco having such a comfortable bed (above the norm) was just a bonus. The complimentary breakfast blew me away for such a small/non-luxury hotel. Wide selection of hot foods, including a welf serve waffle station and cereal with fruits/compotes to choose from. Coffee good too. And I have to give a compliment to the lady that manages breakfast - she was very helpful, had a new container of coffee just as the last drops were taken by person in front of me and was a "busy bee" (in a good way). I can feel she highly appreciated her job by showing how well she kept the breakfast room clean and food items well stocked. Furthermore, and this has nothing todo with the hotel itself, is the great location. Across the street is a TraderJoe's (I love that place) so got some nice snacks for the stay) and a number of small restaurants of many cuisines. We came to visit our aunt with not much expectations for San Ramon or the hotel so staying here has made the experience (I will add that scenery and hiking trails are nice around San Ramon too) much better than expected.

Thread bare chairs, stains on desk chair and coffee table, shower curtains, dirty carpets. This place was not comfortable for my three night stay. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the furniture. If no space at the Marriott, do yourself a favor and stay in Pleasanton.

We had very a bizarre first night. We were about to go to bed and my daughter pulled back the sheet and there was a wet spot on the bed. The bed was nicely made so I just thought the sheet just didn’t dry so I started ironing it but then it smelled as I was ironing it. I pulled back the sheet and the mattress pad was stained like someone peed on it. I called the front desk to get new bedding but when I pulled back the mattress pad, the mattress was also wet! The hotel staff was extremely gracious and switched us to a different room but by the time we went to bed it was past 11 and we had to get up early for a tournament. The hotel has made note to investigate. But also a bunch of kids were swimming in the pool and when they got out, the pool ladder handle came out of its insert completely and they fell back into the water. I notified the hotel.

It was ok but we had a few problem but when we came back in Jan it seemed better. Cleaning and Towels s problem but we got through it it is thirty years old and needs a make over. Saw some weird people there,?Then front desk people were great as was the manager of the hotel, did not like breakfast because it was greasy and too spicy and I could not eat . I use the phone once to call Marriot not thinking they would charge and all they did is t transfer me and charge me 49.00 dollars and still waiting to see if it comes off of American Express . Chris and staff tried to do what they could but Marriot has to be the one to fix it up. Some people live there and it is called a resident inn for that reason .’
