Beau séjour au lodge la Quinta Sarapiqui
Lodge dans un superbe endroit, tranquille où tout est aménagé pour y observer la faune et la flore. Matelas confortables, air climatisé. Belle piscine. Très grand jardin où on peut se promener et observer oiseaux, toucan, grenouilles, paresseux,… eau froide dans la douche.

Stay somewhere else
We have been in Costa Rica for two weeks and this was the worst place we have stayed.
The bugs are so bad you may get carried away by them.
The rooms are old and dilapidated. We didn’t feel comfortable showering. For the price we paid there are WAY better places to stay in CR.
No internet in the rooms. Too many bugs to sit outside and enjoy the scenery (I promise there are plenty of beautiful places to stay in CR where the bugs are not that bad… this place is a breeding ground for mosquitos).
They charge you $10 USD per person for a breakfast buffet… the worst we have seen. All other places we stayed the breakfast was free and WAY better.
$8 USD for a beer? Come on!

Decent ecolodge in the Sarapiqui Valley
La Quinta Sarapiqui Lodge is a good base to explore the valley (ideal if looking to spend the day white-water rafting nearby). The staff was friendly and attentive. The lodge is located by a small river away from the main road making it a peaceful place to stay. The facilities are a little dated (more so than the pictures suggest) and could do with some modernisation and extra maintenance. The food offered on site was rather basic and we ate better in sodas for cheaper.

Great place for bird watching.
The area is beautiful and if you like to watch the birds, the place is set up for that. The restaurant is good and reasonably priced the breakfast buffet is complimentary. Overall, the place is very clean. The very large property is somewhat unkempt. New bedlinens and towels would be helpful. Rooms are dated and a little interior sprucing up would be nice

Basic hotel met weinig beleving en een beetje onpersoonlijk. Kamers zijn ok, maar niet luxueus. Dat geldt eigenlijk ook voor het restaurant en het ontbijt. Niks te klagen, maar ook niks uitzonderlijk. De aangelegde natuur bij het hotel is niet bijzonder. Typisch iets voor één overnachting.

Leider hat uns unser Aufenthalt in der Quinta Sarapiquí Lodge enttäuscht. Das Hotel ist sehr kitschig und wirkt dadurch überladen und unruhig. Das Personal war nicht nur wenig hilfsbereit, sondern auch eher unfreundlich – weit entfernt von dem „Pura Vida“-Gefühl, das wir sonst in Costa Rica erlebt haben. Die Zimmer waren recht lieblos eingerichtet und hatten schon bessere Tage gesehen. Wir hatten zudem den Eindruck, dass es an Sauberkeit mangelte; Ameisen und eine Kakerlake im Badezimmer haben das schmuddelige Ambiente leider nur verstärkt. Uns ist bewusst, dass solche Begegnungen in Mittelamerika nicht ungewöhnlich sind, hier hat es jedoch zum Gesamteindruck des wenig gepflegten Hauses gepasst. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise war es gerade noch in Ordnung, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir die Lodge nicht empfehlen. Ein kleiner Pluspunkt: Die Nutella-Pfannkuchen zum Frühstück haben unseren Kindern gut gefallen.
