Hotel situado en una zona bonita de la Selva Negra, en zona de carretera, pero desde nuestra habitación no se oían ruidos. Aparcamos sin coste en la zona de aparcamiento que tienen. Nos atendió un señor que hablaba muy bien inglés y también hablaba un poco de español. Nos asignaron una habitación en la parte alta del hotel, lo malo es que no hay ascensor para llegar a ella, sí lo hay para la primera planta, pero no para la segunda. Además era un tramo de escaleras un poco empinado. Era una habitación muy grande, familiar, abuhardillada, con una cama doble y otras dos en el otro extremo de la habitación. Baño sencillo, nuestro grifo del lavabo goteaba y cuando lo abríamos se formaba un charco en el suelo, así que informamos en la recepción cuando nos fuimos. Tenía una pequeña terraza, que si bien no contaba con vistas, se estaba bien en ella. El desayuno súper poco variado, nada de dulce, tampoco hay tostador. Mucha variedad de panes y otros productos salados, te hacían huevos también, pero personalmente no me resultó nada atractivo. Cenamos allí la noche que estuvimos, tienen un robot que ayuda al servir los platos que es muy curioso. Los platos que pedimos estaban ricos y el mismo chico que nos atendió en recepción, estaba en el restaurante y me aconsejó sobre qué pedir. Tenía alguna opción vegetariana. Creo que fue un poco caro para la habitación (difícil accesibilidad) y para el desayuno tan escaso.

Mala experiencia. No sé por donde empezar... El hotel está literalmente a pie de carretera, obviamente tiene aparcamiento gratuito porque se encuentra en la calle. Nos cobraron 64 euros por dos ensaladas y 4 cañas de cerveza, no queríamos la ensalada con sandia,como ofrecían y la chica de recepción que no habla para nada inglés nos ofreció patatas fritas...que para nuestra sorpresa cuando vino la cuenta nos las cobraron a 11 euros..una bandeja de patatas congeladas.. La habitación no estaba mal del todo, si bien la cama y almohada no eran muy cómodas pero estaba limpia, igual que el baño.. Muy decepcionante el desayuno, no tienen tostador para tostar el pan y a la hora que llegamos (aproximadamente las 9 a.m.) no había prácticamente pan ni siquiera bollería, eso sí te ofrecen huevos en todas sus variantes.. Para el precio que costó la habitación una noche me parece literalmente un robo...

We have stayed here many times over the years when we have been touring on our motorcycles, this time we were in our car and it has been a number of years since our last stay. We’re extremely happy to say that it didn’t disappoint. It is very easy to find in the heart of the small village of Schenkenzell and there is ample free parking. The hotel staff are still very friendly and speak good English. The rooms are large, clean, very comfortable and well appointed. The food in the restaurant is still excellent and very well priced - and they have the addition of a new robot waitress called Bella. There are also renovations currently ongoing that will make it even more appealing to motorcyclists.

An undeniably lovely area that is well connected for local attractions and motorway. Very clean. Food OK. My personal issue was a family member who openly laughed at a concern I had with a dish. Thereafter, he took delight in playing games about where I could sit. Outside I was moved twice yet the terrace was empty. Inside at dinner, 2 tables were reserved and I was pushed into the second salon to eat. Nobody turned up for the reserved tables in the main salon with other diners. It was petty minded game playing that meant I chose to eat elsewhere for the remainder of my trip. Such a shame because the other staff were very cordial.
