My expectations were very low before checking in. After checking in, I decided to give it a 5-star rating.
I just stayed at this hotel for one night a few days ago. Before booking, I read the facilities and reviews of almost every hotel around, and finally chose this hotel because: 1. Marriott had no rooms that night, and I originally wanted to book with Marriott. 2. This hotel’s rating is second only to Marriott, and Hilton is basically not much worse.
First, free airport shuttle bus. After arriving at the airport pick-up point, call the hotel and wait a while for the shuttle to arrive. Since it was late at night, it was just me and another Alaska Airlines stewardess. The driver was very nice and helped with the suitcases. It only takes a few minutes to drive from the airport to the hotel. The airport drop-off departs every half hour, such as 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00. As long as there are passengers, we will leave on time. The driver will ask which airline it is and send the passenger to the corresponding entrance.
Second, the hotel is really clean and the settings are well maintained. The room was very quiet and I didn't hear any planes taking off or landing all night. The room is very big. However, the hotel's positioning is for transfers and overnight stays for crew members. It should not be compared with hotels in urban areas or resort areas. After all, the positioning is different. The needs of the passengers staying there are also different.
Third, the lady at the front desk is very nice. I saw some comments saying that no one helped with luggage. I think for a hotel in this price range and market position, asking staff to carry luggage is too much.
Fourth, we specially booked a room with breakfast. When we went to have breakfast, we found that the staff did not check the room card at all. Just walk in and eat. Breakfast is a very typical simple American breakfast. But all very fresh. I have to praise the texture of the scrambled eggs here, it’s very, very good.
There is a small park and lake a few minutes' walk next to the hotel. If you have an afternoon flight, you can go for a stroll after breakfast. It is very different from domestic parks. Clean, well maintained while still feeling pristine.
The only downside to the hotel is that it doesn't have any restaurant, but there is a small snack area on the first floor. We bought popcorn, chips and beer. The hotel room has a microwave for heating popcorn. It can be considered a very interesting experience.
In short, if you are transiting overnight at Seattle-Tacoma Airport, I highly recommend this hotel.
