Travelodge by Wyndham Seattle by The Space Needle

The hotel is old, tiny shower with very low water pressure, but fine for a couple nights. Breakfast bags in the morning with granola bars and an apple. Free coffee and tea. One of the beds in our room was quite broken in the middle. However, still technically fine, slept okay, great location for the price.

The Travelodge offered a location that was hard to beat - right there near the iconic landmark that you can see from the corridors. They provide a little breakfast package with fruit, a granola bar and water which is a nice addition in times when most hotel charge absurd amounts of money for breakfast. Unfortunately, that's where the positives mostly ended for my stay. The room itself is super simple and in need of an upgrade. While clean, the furniture seemed worn, and the overall impression was one of a bygone era. Thin walls made it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms, which disrupted a good night's sleep... For the price, I think other options in Seattle could offer a more comfortable and up-to-date stay. Unless location is your absolute top priority, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your Seattle visit.

The morning staff was wonderful -- dispensing breakfast and checking people out calmly and efficiently. The afternoon staff was also efficient, sending someone immediately to fix the breaker that had flipped when we turned on the air conditioner and sending up a plunger when the toilet clogged.

I reserved a night in this hotel because my husband and I flew into Seattle with our 3 kids to take an early-morning ferry up to BC and we needed a place to stay for the night before we left. We booked it because it was the cheapest place near the Clipper terminal. Honestly, i was kind of dreading it and thought it would be a pretty crappy experience. I was soo pleasantly surprised by how great it was!! We will truly stay here every time we need a room near the ferry, it was AWESOME. First, the people who run this hotel are incredibly nice. So friendly and helpful! Happily accommodated our youngest child with a cot for the room and there was ample space for it. We had to leave at 6am for our ferry and they made sure to have to-go breakfast bags available at the desk on our way out. The kids loved swimming in the outdoor heated pool while my husband and I relaxed in the hot tub. It was just an all-around great experience, contrary to my snobby concerns. To top it all off, my husband forgot his eye-glasses in the room and the staff found them and promptly mailed them to us at our vacation up in BC! They could not have been nicer. Is it a luxury spa resort? No, of course not! But the value for what you get is sky-high and it's a great place in an awesome location. We are so grateful for a great night in Seattle and will be back again!
