I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sky Water Villa in Semporna. The villa is beautifully designed and impeccably clean. The king sized bed was comfortable, ensuring restful nights under the stars. One of the highlights of the stay was the all-inclusive buffet dining, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The afternoon tea with snacks was a lovely touch, providing a perfect mid day treat after our island hopping and snorkeling or hiking. Free wifi available at the restaurant and lobby area. The staff were exceptional, friendly and accomodating. A standout feature was the free use of snorkeling equipment and life jackets. Although the area around the villa does not feature coral reefs, the sand bank during low tide is a unique experience. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk and to observe the stunning starfish scattered across the shallow water. During snorkeling, we also spotted some sea turtles, some colourful fish and even swordfish. The reef is only near the jetty area which is very deep and has strong current. We had a relaxing and wonderful time living over the ocean with a touch of adventure. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant stay. The beautiful manager personally picked us up from the pier. Although it was a scheduled boat, we were all staying in the same hotel, and the boat was also dedicated to the hotel. There were staff to help with the luggage on and off the boat, so we were not allowed to carry it ourselves. After arriving at the hotel, we were seated and the dishes were served immediately. We had a table for our friends, and several people were fine. The staff were very warm and thoughtful, and I gave them a thumbs up. We had seafood long legs at check-in because we were a table for two people, and the seafood provided was not enough to eat, and we wanted some more, but the meals were calculated and there was no extra. I saw a few dishes on the stove and thought they were extra, so I asked if I could take them away. The staff said yes, but later I found out that the staff had eaten fried rice, probably because we took their dishes away, so I was sorry. The room is relatively large, spacious, and clean. The hotel supplies are also very new. The hotel is indeed a new hotel. There is a balcony to see the sea. We were arranged with two rooms, one for sunset and one for sunrise, which is very considerate.

Staying in Sempoorna town was a delightful experience, and this resort made our visit truly special. Sempoorna town is relatively small and apart from diving, hiking, island hopping there is not much things to do. If you're planning to spend more than 2-3 days in the area, I highly recommend considering this resort. Conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Sempoorna town by boat, the resort offers a tranquil escape. The staff and owner here are not only friendly but also incredibly cooperative, ensuring a warm welcome and a comfortable stay throughout. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully equipped, providing a luxurious experience. The surrounding beautiful sea is a highlight, adorned by starfish and other fishes. While the included food may not be the centerpiece of the experience, it is satisfactory, mainly featuring delicious Chinese cuisine. The staff and owner go the extra mile to share details about the resort, snorkeling gear, and any assistance you may need. During our stay, they arranged an unforgettable island-hopping tour, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit.

Booked this Inn2 because I couldn’t see any commitments on Sipadan Inn 3 or 1. It was okay for overnight. The first time I stayed there, it was a normal small room with window facing the street. However, when I checked in again a week later I got a room in the middle without window, even though I booked the same queen room. The location is not great, Inn 3 and 1 are at better spots in the small seafront town, easier to reach than Inn 2. Among the three, Inn 3 is the newest and, after a visit, I noticed it has better rooms with better facilities. Had WiFi in room at Inn 2, the bed was very basic and sheets not crispy clean, the shower was okay as well as the air conditioning. Semporna is a tiny town with most places within walking distance, though the narrow, car-lined streets are not that clean or tidy to walk through, especially if you carry luggage. From what I heard from other travelers, very basic facilities wherever you stay, so lower your expectations then probably all good.

In fact, water houses should be the yearning and dream of many people. There are various water houses in many countries around the world, but the one that is closer to China and has great water and scenery is probably Semporna. In the early years, everyone would say to go to Sabah, but now it is Semporna. Before going, I chose many water houses and read a lot of guides. Finally, I chose Lelebang Resort. After arriving, I found that it was absolutely worth the money. First of all, in terms of service, there will be Chinese butlers on the island, so you won’t worry about language barriers. The butlers are always in a position where you can find them at any time. The black people on the island are also very simple and will take care of you when they see you, making you feel very safe The environment on the island is even more amazing. This island has only been open for 9 months, so all the facilities are very new. There is a double bed, a single bed, and a double sofa in the room. This is the standard equipment of each room. The two lounge chairs on the balcony are particularly comfortable and leisurely Your room fee covers all your consumption since you arrive on the island, including three meals a day and afternoon tea. Of course, if you want to drink some cold beer or drinks, you have to pay for it yourself But it is very cheap and affordable. The island will go snorkeling twice a day in the morning and afternoon. It doesn’t matter if you can’t swim. There will be two black guys on the boat to escort you. In general, it may not be as large as a large mature resort, but it is very quiet. There are only six rooms at present. The private space is very good and worth exploring and checking in.

There are people at the front desk who can speak simple Chinese and can exchange Malaysian ringgits. The exchange rate is more suitable than other places. There is no need to pay a deposit like other netizens said. Check in and check out are very smooth. The two most important points are that first, you can smoke on the balcony, which is very beautiful; second, you can hang your clothes on the balcony overnight and they will dry. This is very important when playing at the beach. The disadvantage is that it is a bit noisy at night, and you need to bring earplugs prepared by the store. It is also OK to the pier, within a 10-minute walk, it is worth recommending!

We did not expect such a small private property of hotel with this cheap price can provide so lovely and clean room , room is super clean , not very big but enough for 2 person and with all basic equipment that u need , simple breakfast and helpful staff , everything is good , will come back again if have chance .

Great place To Stay for small budget lodge in Semporna. New makeover lodge with basic but confortable for short Stay. Will Stay again in future. Sorrounded by many Restaurant, Laundry, supermarket, Salon and spa.

Its approximately 5 mins drive from Semporna town centre to The Firefly Resort , which is nestled in an oil palm estate, there are plenty of carparks beside the Resort Main Reception building. Check in was a breeze by the front desk cheerful lady, after that the staff help to take our luggage leading us to our chalet. C01 King size bedroom is cosy and spacious, has all the basic amenities with very fast speed wireless internet services. Best of it all, the room is equipped with 2 wall charger ports for mobile phones on both night tables, travellers need not worry if they have forgotten to bring their own. Chalets are well laid out within the landscape surrounded by bird ferns, wild ginger plants and many others. It is a place conducive for good rest, refreshing, rejuvenation and retreat with back to the nature forestry environment, listening to birds chirping, tree squiirrels running and especially you would get to pass by a friendly talking Myna bird that greets you with “sudah makan” & “good morning”. The Reception Area leads into a bar counter with karaoke system, dining area and a lounge where food & beverage is served. It is very cosy and cool under the the high double volume roof complete with big “helicopter fan “ , rustic log sawn timber furniture, and comfortable sofa at the Afresco area . There is a corner for barbecue too. Local Malaysian breakfast spread is good, seafood dinner is exceptionally cooked, deliciously prepared and presented. Complement to the excellent culinary skill of the resident Chef Lim. If you are looking for relaxation ,rest and a place to be pampered , The Firefly Resort Semporna is well recommended !!

The environment is decent for the local area, and the boss's service is also good. However, there is a local habit of paying extra for accommodation if you exceed the number of guests. When you get to the hotel, it is clearly written that if you exceed the number of guests, you will be charged 100. The price is about RMB 160. This fee applies regardless of whether you have breakfast or an extra bed. It feels a bit cheating! There is no such charging standard in China. Even though the boss is from Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong, it still doesn't make sense and he will definitely charge you. For those who are traveling with their families, be mentally prepared in advance. There is no need to argue about this. After all, everyone travels Just have fun. If you are traveling to Semporna for the first time in China, don’t expect too much from the local hotel. It is still different from the professional services in China. The hotel is relatively original. Geckos will make noises in the room at night. Don’t mind this. , this type of garden-style B&B hotel has this possibility.
