Top Couple Friendly Hotels in Semporna

It was my first time in Semporna and I chose to stay at the Wonderland Manor. I really made the right choice. The manor is very large and exquisite. Every corner makes me feel very comfortable. It is not a problem to stay for a few days. It feels like a paradise. The service attitude is very friendly and the room layout is very good. I will definitely come again next time.

Overall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.

This homestay is an independent cabin with a swimming pool in the yard, which is very beautiful. The owner is Chinese and can speak Chinese. The communication is very smooth and considerate. It is a little far from Semporna town. If you want to go there, the owner will send a driver to pick you up. You can also make reservations to the airport or the pier, which is very convenient. Breakfast is a simple meal, all freshly made. It is relatively fresh and good. You can consult the owner if you have any questions in Semporna. He is super nice and has adopted a kitten. It is a very pleasant accommodation experience. Because the environment is relatively primitive, there will be many mosquitoes and small animals. It is normal to appear in the house. Bring mosquito repellents to be more comfortable. I hope the boss's business will be prosperous!

Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. Crystal Water House, sitting on the charming jelly sea, has a clean and hygienic environment. The water house rooms are beautifully decorated, and the blue sea and sky can be seen through the windows, making people feel like they are in a dream world. Here, you can also snorkel for free and experience the beauty of the underwater world. The owner of the water house is hospitable and attentive, and will also provide professional snorkeling guidance. Although my partner and I were injured during the trip because we are not good at water, the owner of the water house thoughtfully bandaged our wounds and treated them properly. All in all, this is a very good place worth recommending. The Crystal Water Villa in Semporna, Malaysia, boasts a charming jelly sea, a clean and hygienic environment. Here, you can also enjoy free snorkeling and experience the wonders of the underwater world. The villa owner is warm and hospitable, providing attentive service and professional snorkeling guidance. Although my partner and I were injured due to our lack of proficiency in swimming during the trip, the villa owner kindly bandaged our wounds and handled them properly. In short, this is a great place worth recommending.

My stay at Jelly Sea Resorts was incredible. We were amazed at the view from the resort, the clear water, and the Bohey Dulang view from afar. We were told that we were the first Malay to stay at the resort (mostly Chinese tourists), it was such an achievement and honored 🥇😂. The room was big enough and what we liked about the room was that it had a patio where we could relax, provided with a netting bed and a ladder to go down swimming or snorkeling right from our own room. I would recommend Jelly Sea Resorts to anyone who wants to experience Semporna. It also provides 3 meals a day (breakfast-lunch-dinner) included in your booking and a boat transfer from the land to the resort and vice versa. The only thing we would comment on for improvement is to provide toilet bidet sprayer.

Facilities: Very good, plenty of hot water! Sanitation: The sanitary environment is very good! Clean, the island also has a white sand beach, invincible beauty Environment: Invincible scenery, whether it is sunny or rainy, or sunrise and sunset! Super beautiful, breathtaking Service: The service is also very considerate. When we went there, there was only our group, and it felt like the whole island was booked! So comfortable! Free lunch for 2: The lunch was very rich and delicious! It was better than any restaurant we ate in town, and it also suits the taste of Chinese people! (After all, the boss lady is also Chinese hahaha Free dinner for 2: The dinner was even more rich, big crab! Seafood!!!! I think this place is better than any water house I have been to, even better than Mataking in my heart! I took hundreds of photos and dozens of videos here, but no matter what, the mobile phone camera can't restore its beauty! Next time I come to Semporna, I won't consider other places, and I will rush here without thinking. I posted it on WeChat Moments and **, and so many people asked where this is hahaha, they all think it is so beautiful!

The facilities of the manor are quite good in Semporna. The room is big enough, clean and sanitary. The large floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the room can see the garden outside, which is very comfortable. It is much more comfortable than the hotel in the town. It is worth recommending. The restaurant is large and sanitary. You can buy seafood in the town and process it back. The service of the brother is very good.

I chose this hotel because it was marked with five stars. Generally speaking, it is still a little different from the real five-star hotels in China, but it does not prevent this hotel from being the best hotel in Semporna. Let me start with the good points: 1. Because the hotel is new, all the facilities are new, the infinity pool has a great view, and the children's playground is a plus for tourists traveling with children. 2. The hotel itself is comfortable and the rooms are clean. Don't expect too much about the environment around the hotel. You can look forward to the sea view and sunrise and sunset in the distance. Disadvantages: 1. The breakfast is not rich enough 2. The bottom of the swimming pool is dirty, according to the children

We were travelling with kids ranging from 1.5 yo to grandparents of 70s. The rooms and facilities are well cared, clean and comfortable. The meals are lovely and has a good variety. I ended appreciating the inland resort as it is safer for kids to run around and easy access for elderly. The main purpose of our trip is to snorkel and enjoy the coast. Except for the 1.5yo, everyone went snorkelling in the open water. This resort has the most amazing coral reef just off its jetty. Having snorkel at various part of the island, we realised this resort somehow able to maintain a good coastal ecosystem that attracts lot of marine life..The snorkel and diving crew are amazing, caring and highly professional people. My 8yo encountered with an emergency whilst snorkelling in the open water. (Things happened in the wild.) We were very grateful for the decisive action of our first responder dive instructor, immediate organisation by the hotel manager to access medical care and the tireless company by our snorkelling guide throughout the medical transport and treatment process. We were well taken care by this great community. Our 8yo was back to her normal self that afternoon and insisted to continue with island hoping adventure the next day. Instead of discouraging us from taking to the trip, the resort has arranged additional crew members to accompany us the next day. Whilst the rest of the family snorkel, the additional crew spent time with my 8yo on the boat, entertaining her with tales of the sea. The level of service is truly amazing. Lastly, we were so lucky to witness the release of baby sea turtles into the sea. The resort has beaches preserve for turtles to nest. If you appreciate the marine ecosystem and the experience to be close to nature, I highly recommend Borneo Divers. We will be back for more snorkelling.
