Hotels near Shōon-ji Temple, Sendai

This hotel is located a short walk from Sendai station, through Parco 2 and down Sendai morning market Street. There were so many food options close by we never had to go far for a delicious feed. The hotel itself has self check in machines that have an English option. They had lots of complimentary amenities on offer in the lobby including different types of teas, skincare products, hair products and bath products. The room itself is your typical business hotel. It was clean, had an all in one bathroom, small desk and air purified and humidifier. The bed was comfy and there was room under the bed to store smaller luggage items. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a convenient budget option

I love this hotel so much. Room is super spacious and love the scent of this hotel once you step into this hotel. Walking distance to many places such as Sendai Morning Market , donki donki, Japanese local restaurants and Sendai Station ( a bit far ) If you didn’t book breakfast here is fine too, there are some restaurant nearby early in the morning for English Breakfast or to go. We drove our car here , however you need to pay JPY 1500 per day to park your car. Reception is at 26th floor so once you park your car you need to take lift to lobby and from lobby take another lift to reception check in.

The breakfast and bath were great. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, including seafood bowls and beef tongue curry, and the children even got toys! The gelato was delicious! It would have been better if there were more varieties of juices for children, etc. The bath had shampoo bars for both men and women, and I was happy to be able to use ones I'd never used before. The staff were also kind, so we had a wonderful time.

Hotel Keihan Sendai has just opened. I was able to stay at a low price with the combination of Jalan's special opening plan and GOTO. I visited by private car, but there is a parking lot (Hot House Aoba-dori Daiichi Parking) in the basement. 1500 yen per night. Directly connected by elevator. Convenient. The location is next to the 77 Bank head office along Aoba-dori. Check-in is done by yourself on the touch panel and payment is made at the check-in machine. In addition to cash, credit card payment is possible. The room is a single room on the 9th floor. I was able to see Aoba-dori from the window in the corner room. The equipment is also new. The temperature of the lighting and air conditioner can be adjusted in 0.5 degree increments with the tablet at the bedside. The TV is a 43-inch made by Panasonic. You can also see mirroring of smartphones and YouTube. The unit bath is reasonably large. There is a lounge and Starbucks coffee machine on the 2nd floor, which you can get for free. (The next time I stay, I will have breakfast.) When I go to Sendai, the number of hotels I want to use again has increased.

The official site description is only lies. The location may be good, but even if it is a cheap hotel, it is a price if you consider the content of the service and the quality of the hotel. The reason I chose this hotel is the public bath. However, men can use it after midnight and after work hours. Other time zones are female-only alternation systems, so they are not available for people who work normally. Despite the fact that the front desk is not Bali or free, it is narrow and there is no lobby. At night, you can hear footsteps rather than conversations from people passing through the corridor, and the sound of neighbors using toilets and the sound of hangers can be heard until the sound of watching TV. There are some wifi, but it is stressed because it is cut many times during use. The note in the room also contains Japanese and English, but only Japanese and Chinese were ”Please don't open the door and talk to your neighbor”. This is that the Chinese are doing bad things. The Onyado Nono is the Japanese style hotels among the Dormy Inn chain. The one at Sendai is newly opened and I stayed for two nights at a Moderate Queen Room which is a good size for 1-2 persons by Japanese standard. Room is spotlessly clean and close to Sendai station. The onsen is lovely after long day of sightseeing and the free ramen midnight snack is a wonderful bonus. All in all this is a hotel which I would recommend to anyone.

I’ve stayed in many budget and business hotels in Japan. This was by far my worst experience. I stayed for several days to attend a conference nearby. The price was reasonable and location was close to subway and central city. There must be better options in this area and price range. Consider this a last resort hotel when bookings aren’t available elsewhere. Service was poor by Japanese standards. Rooms were run down and in dire need of renovations, it smelled a lot of cigarettes, especially if you opened the window. Walls were thin and it was difficult to sleep with noisy neighbours and firm uncomfortable bedding. A breakfast service is available but I don’t recommend this, the food available is limited and lacks the usual continental options or local specialties typical for Japanese hotels. I communicated with staff almost entirely in Japanese and I’m not sure they are able to accommodate foreign tourists who cannot. For these reasons I do not recommend this hotel, especially if you are visiting Japan from abroad.

This budget hotel is located further away from Sendai station and is not walking distance with big luggage. The location is also a shopping street where there is a bus stop with bus heading to Sendai station. A short ride costs 120yen. The room is a bit dated and small though good enough for 1 person. Service staff at the check in counter are friendly and nice although English proficiency level is not high.

This hotel is beyond my expectation. First of all, the location is a bit far from Sendai Station, but there are free minibuses that take me directly to the hotel. Secondly, the hotel design style is very unique. The rooms are luxurious and large in Japan. The hotel lobby is elegant, with free morning tea and a discounted afternoon bar. The cleanliness is very comfortable, the smell is fresh and pleasant, and the bathroom has penetrating speakers, so if you are happy, it is fun to go to the bathroom with the TV. In addition, although the service staff can't speak Chinese, they are still very polite and patient to solve my cleaning needs. When I left the hotel, they sent me out of the lobby and watched the car go away, and kept bowing. The emotional value is in place, and the price seems to be very cheap haha
