Neighbourhood:
24 h shop is next door. A lot of cafes and food stalls. The hotel door leads to A tourist street with souvenirs and it is literally a couple of meters from the entrance :)
4 metro stations are in 10 - 15 min walk from the hotel, there are a lot of bus stops to different destinations. A bus stop to the airport is 10 min walk (limousine bus) , it's very convenient

Staff are friendly, helpful and polite (what else can one expect from Korea 😊).
Breakfasts:
Don't vary very much but ok to begin the day.
Rooms:
If you're lucky you'll get a street view. My second time room faces the wall. But as I came back to the room only to sleep it was not a big deal.
In general, if I come to Seoul again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel

Right where all the action of Myeong-dong street market is! Staff were helpful. Able to store luggage at the lobby before check-in and after check out.
Toilets are equipped with smart bidet (yay! with seat warmer!!!! so nice in cold weather). Room is clean, though looked a lil rundown, but still acceptable, given that we were mostly out.
Halal food available at the street market too (The halal lamb skewer was the best I've had)! The strawberries, grapes that tasted like sweet jellly, (its a no wonder SG markets sells them soo expensive!)
On weekdays, street market starts at 5pm, on weekend, it starts by afternoon. Apart from street markets, Lotte store is within walking distance for those who wishes to spend on the higher end products. Not to forget, Olive Young is all the rage there, especially during their sale for that Korean glass skincare! Managed to snag some Kpop items for kids back home. The light sticks were way cheaper than in Singapore, and there were so many merch and photocards available. Even the lomo cards are nice!
The airport transfer bus is within walking distance from the hotel. The bus will stop at a few hotels within the area to pick up passengers heading along the way or towards airport. We took the airport transfer bus on a weekend to Incheon Airport Terminal 1. It cost 17000 won/per pax. Journey took nearly 2hrs, considering the weekend traffic at noon.

Perhaps because it was a remodel of an existing hotel, the room was clean and nice. It's not a drawback, but the only thing that was a little embarrassing was that there was a slight delay due to an issue during the check-in process, and I wish they would have told me about the problem. I made a reservation in my name and showed the confirmation, but they asked if someone else in the group had checked in first, etc. As a reservation holder, I had to worry about safety due to anxious questions. And the answer to the late check-out inquired by email before check-in was 20,000 won per hour, but on-site they said it was 11,000 won. I don't know if it was a system problem, but this was the first time I've experienced something like this while visiting several hotels.

The transport guesthouse in the middle of Seoul is quiet and cozy, and the staff are friendly and my family visited their homeland stayed comfortably. It was a great luck to find a place where you can stay comfortably without any cost while looking for a suitable place to do Seoul City Tour. There were many restaurants around, so I could have a food dinner. It was great to have a friendly staff guide the restaurants around.

Someone said Koreana is an old hotel, but it has all the best aspects of being an established hotel : not that far from City Hall exit 3, spacious room including toilet & bath, airport bus pick up, city tour stop, and even bicycles for loan. Good for first visits to Seoul.

Our experience in Merlin Hotel is nothing short but, amazing. The owner and staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful, they were very accommodating during our stay. Although the service and facilities may not be the greatest, in comparison to a 5 star hotel, it was sufficient and well equipped. The rooms does not come with toiletries, however, it is provided at front desk which is top-up daily by staff, and guest may take as much as they require. As for cleaning services, the staff will change towel (put it inside the provided basket) and do minimal cleaning of room (sweep or, mop the room) daily.
The location of the hotel is near Chungmuro station, just take exit 8 (stairs) or, exit 1 (escalator; will require to cross road to reach hotel). The subway itself is an ideal station with intercepting line which is, Line 4 and Line 3. Additionally, it is also a stop away from Dongdaemun with transfer line of Line 2, Line 4 and Line 4. It is a walking distance to Myeongdong, approximately 10 - 15 minutes depending on your walking speed.
Overall, I would definitely book this hotel again on my next visit to Korea, not because of the hotel location or etc but, the staff there who were an absolute ray of sunshine with their positive energy.

Location is good near myeongdong night street, subway station and Lotte shopping mall, young plaza.
The only issue here is since is winter the aircon is set to heater mode the whole room is so hot cannot set even when controller is stated off, the heater is still working hence we all got puzzled.
Next issues is the lift, if have more than a room and even stated in the request. End up giving and stay different tower of different floor from 11 onwards need to take another lift. Which is very troublesome. Not convenient at all.
Lastly, if you travel with family that have more than 2 beds the room is very small only can have 1 pax walking at a time and luggages have to be closed if there a more than 2 checkin luggages.

Location of hotel was superb as it is very near to the start of the night market and also very close to Olive Young shop. There is also a 24hrs convenience store opposite the hotel. Getting taxis is also easy as many taxis are either dropping off passengers or waiting for passengers outside hotel lobby. Hotel room was clean and they always do a great job at making up the room. Will stay here again when back in Seoul! 😊🙏👍

Well located with all facilities necessary. Not the usual tourist spot but a friendly area with lots of restaurants, Lotte & sensegate department store nearby. Also Time Square and underground shopping arcade. There is a local food market around too. You can get every local Seoul item there in local price, not tourist higher price trap. Enjoy your stay

GGuest UserHotel is in the heart of the arty part of insadong. Thgs are more expensive here as compared to Myeondong. Housecleaning needs to improve with an almond found under the bed from prev guests. Hair found on bathtub as well. Location, abt 10min walk to the main insadong cafe belt. Train station jongno-3ga exit 4 has got escalator. Orakai Suites is ur landmark and 10min walk u shd reach hotel entrance fr the shopping side. Or u can try jongak station, forgot the nearest exit though there's a few streetside hawker which sells really great food if u walk along to the jongak station. Mirror in the room is really good, fold it up to use it, fold down when not in use. Just that it's dusty inside the mirror drawer where u are supposed to keep make-up. Choose temple view if u wld like a quieter room. Our room was with city view which is fine too. Total of 14 floors. Gym is small with 2 treadmills, one or two spin cycles and hand weights. Generally a good stay.

GGuest UserThe location of the Solaria Ni****etsu Hotel is great, 3 mins away from the subway and right at the spot of Myeongdong night market. The flagship Olive Young is almost like next door. The room is not spacious but efficient. I would definitely come back if visit Seoul.

AAnonymous UserLocation is more suitable for business travellers who want to work & commute in financial district, otherwise there’s not much to do in this whole area as it’s very hard to find a decent or simple eatery which opens near late night compared to living in Dongdaemun and Gangnam. Our room is located high and we can have a glance of the nearby buildings and overlooked further. They don’t provide full amenities compared to 2 other 5-stars hotels we had stayed in during this trip. So prep yourself with our necessary amenities like earbuds, combs, earplugs, sewing kits if needed in any case..
The hotel room is quite spacious and toilet is equipped with a bathtub which we didn’t get to utilise at all but my child had once because she wanted to play a bath bomb for 10 mins. Other items like ironing board, iron, Nespresso coffee machine, distilled water bottles, beverages and condiments, safe box, fridge were all provided.
And I find it quite troubling as there were too many ‘big-country’ tourists either staying in the hotel or those living in Seoul going to the Hyundai Seoul mall to buy luxury goods. And the entire mall is crazily flooded and packed with youngsters on the day of our check-in and the next day. Some came to window-shop while most others came in for food and perhaps after meals, to seek shelter and shield from the cold. You won’t be believed this you can’t even find a place to eat as all fast food eateries, snacks counters and restaurants were fully unavailable. There were basically long queues everywhere you go. Ended up my super famished poor child had to walk a long way with us & venture out in the cold to find any available restaurant to have our dinner.
International breakfast is served daily at L5 and the buffet spread is limited compared to the one we stayed & had in Dongdaemun. We had to pay additional 55,000KRW (SGD55) per day for our young child to dine in with us as her breakfast was not included in our accommodation package. I think it’s really too expensive and given that we always came down only at 9.30am and the breakfast stopped at 10am sharp. The food she always had was a small bowl of cereal, 4 small bite-sized hash-browns and a glass of milk only where she had to eat fast within 30mins before they closed for the day. For such price paid, it’s totally not worth it and we can’t avoid paying lesser despite they knew we only had 30 mins left to dine.
Overall the concierge service crews’ attitude and professionalism were excellent and Fairmont had the best staffs with great service i encountered during our 3 weeks stay across 3 different 5-stars hotels. I wished I will have another chance to stay here again but the price for each night is SGD450++, which is really expensive.

YypossumGreat location and very convenient, located extremely close to a lot of buses and bus stations and metro stations that goes to a lot of different metro lines. The hotel itself was nice, the staff was nice and helpful, located above a convenience store and surrounded by a lot of restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, food stalls, etc. The hotel was clean and convenient, the cleaning staff is super friendly and nice through which we were able to easily and pleasantly receive all the replacements for resources needed (towels, tissues, etc.), and the front desk staff are also very nice and helpful. Would recommend if you are traveling to Seoul both as a solo traveler or with a family.

66622994 mins walk to Seoul station through the sky bridge (Exit 7) !!!!!! Rooms are big for guests 🥰🥰🥰 It has a restaurant on 1/F and the food are so nice🫶🏻 beer 🍺 pizza 🍕 fried chicken 🍗 salad 🥗🙈 Also, few cafes nearby the hotel😚 High accessibility🩷 front office staffs are fluent in English as well, they could answer questions clearly and precisely✌🏻 however it doesn’t have coin laundry compared to other hotels in Seoul🙈

DDCDAWGThe hotel is very well located in Dongdaemun with the building connected to Hyundai outlet malls and doota. Everything is within walking distance for night shopping and also DDP which is the new culture park. Right out of the doorstep there is a food street and many restaurants.
Room is clean with a functioning AC. The size of the room is relatively good for this class of hotel, providing ample space for 2 large suitcases. There is everything you need in the room. The TV channels are international as well covering all languages. I would bring own slippers as they only provide reusable rubber ones and you would need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as they do not provide it. There is a 24hr CU mart inside the hotel which is like a local 7-11. There is also a GoKart experience in the hotel on the 14/f which is kinda fun for a group of friends.
Transportation routes are easy and all the taxi drivers seem to know of this hotel. I would recommend staying here for those that are roaming the Dongdaemun and it’s surrounding areas.

GGuest UserIt's a difficult location to find. It might be easier to find it if you look for the Hyundai Headquarters or the Orakai Hotel across the street.
There are several subway stations in the area, but they are all within a 15-minute walk. There is no bus stop nearby and there are various courses, so you need to do some research. There are three convenience stores within a four-minute walk.
The front desk was nice, but the room was small and I didn't know if I had upgraded to a superior type room.
It is a room that has been elaborated.

AAsterraIt was close and easy to access from the airport right away!
The lobby staff were warm and kind, they showed me the collaboration space with Klairs and there was a whole series of Klairs sample you could take to use in the hotel stay (sunscreen, cleansing oil, moisturiser for day and night, cleansers, different types of toner, omg it was like the whole Klairs family was there for free use!) in the hotel room there was also shower kit (face & body, shampoo, conditioner) that is liquid free (because it’s in a bar form! Bar conditioner was a first time for me, but it was still good on my hair, btw you can even buy it from the lobby if you like the product and care about the environment (only 5000 won!). The pyjamas were the most comfortable! Next, the roof top bar was superb the caramel filling muffin was good and ice americano was so smooth (if you are a guest you can have a discount). It is near Gangnam and Apgujeong, and nearby the hotel there is a police box so the neighbourhood is safe.
The only downside is laundry room did not provide any detergent, so maybe you have to bring your own detergent pods. I’m not sure if the reception sells it.

4442sanaaeI loved the fact that the location is perfect for a quite night as well as it’s so closed to Namsan tower for a beautiful walk in morning, Myeongdong for shopping and sightseeing in evening time and many places I can get to in less than 15 mins The guest house is perfectly clean , they have a healthy breakfast as well as a projector where I played my favorite movies at night before heading to sleep. The family are so nice and always there to help me with everything I needed ^_^ I recommend this place for long term and short term stays~~
