This is an honest review of how I found this hotel. I'm not a hotel snob in the slightest, but know a good one when I see it. I think with a few tweaks, this hotel could be very good. Location: Hidden away, if you want a place for a good night out, this isn't it. If you're there for sun, then you'll find that. Nearby Belek old town, not much other than the same old knock off clothes shops. Sunset Restaurant for the football is a good spot! There is a Burger King and Domino's nearby. £20 return taxi to Land of Legends. 10 min free shuttle to beach generally was alright and came/went when advertised. You just have to follow the orange towels. If you want to go anywhere, book on Uber (Yellow Cab Taxis) and you'll feel safer. Check in: Checked in late, 1.40am, was speedy enough, young lad spoke no English. Thankfully, Orhan the manager was there and I felt welcome from him as he spoke English. There was a Russian lady who worked the desk. She was downright rude and abrasive. Room: This is the highlight of the hotel. We stayed in a bigger room, Queen size bed, small single bed. Brand new hotel, so clean and well maintained by cleaning staff, who work round the clock. Nice shower, comfy bed. Only let down was balcony. Very shallow and with only one plastic chair you couldn't sit out there both of you! Ask for 2 keys, you only get 1 when you check in which is bizarre. Food: Very same-y and tailored very much to Turkish/Russian. Dinner from 19:00-21:00 however GO TO DINNER BEFORE 20:15 as it seems they stop cooking then. They were turning lights off in the restaurant at 20:55 basically wanting you out by then. Never experienced that before! Shambles. Snack bar near pool decent, good pizza and chips. Burgers okay. Had this instead of lunch half the trip. Pool: Pool was fine, well maintained. Saw regularly it getting PH/temp checked. Cleaned at night. You have to be tactical if you want the sun all day as lots of the areas round the pool are shaded which is crazy! Water slides are class. Lifeguard very relaxed. Pool bar Fatma is lovely and serves drinks most of the day. Usual watered down alcohol but a decent selection of that and soft drinks. I always got a decent spot in the sun (although by 9am, most beds are taken). Entertainment (or lack of): They advertised lots of activities, but there was none. My Missus constantly asked (5 days in a row) and was always told a BS reason for it not to be happening. Turns out the ”animation team” is the DJ. Calling him a DJ is being very nice. Spotify all day, loud banging music which continues right into the night. Every night the same, him thinking everyone wants to listen to his set which is the same banging headache inducing nonsense. There is a dart board, and table tennis but it's very much please yourself. One positive, if you have children, they will be well looked after from what I saw. I have visited Turkey 3 times now, the last 2 times to different places but due to the pandemic they were closed so I selected the IQ Belek as it was all inclusive and as a solo female traveller it's generally better to be in this style resort. I arrived late at night, staff are in reception 24 7 so there was no issues. Lots of staff speak some English which was fabulous. I never expect anyone outside of England to speak English so this was a bonus. I was shown to my room and shown how to use my key card and the Aircon, which was a definite plus! It's an absolute essential, it's effective and nice and quiet too. The room, large real king-size bed, not twins stuck together. Lovely clean bedding and firm pillows. As is the tradition, there were thick cotton weaved blankets, trust me you don't need anything more, it's warm enough no duvet is required and once you find your ideal Aircon setting it's more than adequate. Bed was very comfortable and the curtains nice and thick so no light leaks. There is a mini fridge in the room and water is put in it every day for you. I selected what was described as a double for solo use, it was well sized with a little balcony that looked out over the amusement park behind. The bathroom was good, shower has a main shower head overhead and a shower attachment too. Ideal if you don't want a full on soaking. Toiletries provided in the room included soap, shower cap, shampoo conditioner and shower gel. Plenty of towels, 2 large bathsheets, 2 lare hand/hair towels and 2 smaller hand towels and slippers in a netted bag for use too. I was given a towel card, this is exchanged at the spa for a large blue beach/ pool towel. You can change them as you wish in the spa so if you want a fresh towel you just go to the spa and swap it for a clean towel. I visited the spa twice while I was there. Once for a Turkish foam massage and face massage and then again for a face shoulder massage and foot massage. Definitely an experience!! I slept like a log afterwards and my skin squeaked I was so clean! The cleaning staff visit every day and empty the bins and replenish any toiletries and remake your bed and give the room a sweep and wipe through. If you leave towels on the floor they are replaced. The room was fully cleaned a few times which on top of regular daily visits I think is more than enough. They visit around 11-1 each day. The restaurant exceeded my expectations. I visited out of season but it still provided a full service each meal time. Due to covid staff fill your plates for you with your selections. Breakfast has a mix of hot foods, some days including scrambled eggs, toasties, sausage mix, and then cold platters of cheeses meats and breads along with cereals and fruit. Lunch had a selection of around 6 hot dishes with accompanying rice and pasta and potato dishes, a full salad bar with dips and oils and sauces, fruits and then the most amazing cake bar I've ever seen. A FAKE FIVE STAR - CANNOT WAIT TO GO HOME TO EAT. Ignorant staff, example : they never speak to you when collecting a plate for example and often lean over you. They are often fooling around or on their phones instead of tending to customers. I have fed back a small list of issues around this hotel and await a response. They called the room and invited us to attend guest relations despite already being told to just reply. I dont want my time in the sun or having to go out for a meal being taken away. Tried to order a taxi and they added ten euros. Room. Nice view, a bit tired. No effort made by maids really. Bathroom, shower only. Very small. Very slippy floor! Awful cheap decor. THIS IS NOT 5 STAR. FOOD IS HORRIFIC. Breakfats being the worst. At lunch and dinner they often run out! The options are always the cheapest possible with metloaf, burgers and offal being their most common offering. Other than overcooked and look warm chicken/turkey I have not really seen any grilled meats. One night they had 4 ducks to feed a whole hotel!!!! Italian with sweet and sour sauce anyone??? There is an arrogant little man with executive chef walking around who clearly must not have had any training. Dessert are all cheap, jellified and look pretty but never taste as they should. The patisserie served the same junk. Ice cream is ok but nothing to go with it, not allowed a bowl just a teaspoon in a cone. I have never, ever stayed in a 5 star hotel so poor for food. I have been to a lot. Last night the meatloaf was squashed to create “tray kebab”. THIS IS NOT 5 STAR. WE HAD TO EAT OUT SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO INEDIBLE FOOD. Entertainment is good, lots of activities, foam party is good, lots of sun loungers but kids water slides not seen open in a week. Drinks. VERY POOR. The staff dont have a clue, everyone knows what malibu is dont they??? Poor quality, minimal measures. Tip: order the alcohol with just ice and top up your drink. NO BRANDED DRINKS IN A FIVE STAR HOTEL? NO FIZZY SOFT DRINKS IN THE MINI BAR? Spa. Only the sauna working. Hotel shop. Very expensive. Grounds and setting. Good, Pretty in parts. Issues with bites. Eaten alive on two nights. No sign og any preparation to prevent by the hotel. Its a compliment giving this place a 3 star review. Everything is “box ticked” as cheap as possible. This is a genuine review unlike others clearly. Happy to post my booking and photos of the staff. AVOID THIS PLACE, WE WILL! SEEKING COMPENSATION. STILL NO REPLY AS REQUESTED TO MY MESSAGES. Booked a hotel for 4 days while in Istanbul. Upon arrival at 6 pm, with a huge smile, I was given a room on the 1st floor with a wildly humming oversized air conditioner at the level of the balcony. Just a nightmare. With my polite refusal, they showed me another room, in another place, also on the 1st floor. Also without a view, which I personally do not need. But what a musty, vile smell it was in it .. Again, he refused. The third room was both smelly and with the same air conditioning, 2 in 1. The reception is trying to explain that the hotel is completely full, it's a real overbooking. I'm angry. I had to spend the night in a room at least without noise, writing to Trip.com. The next day I received a more or less acceptable room, albeit without a view, thanks to the support. Hotel food 4+. You won't leave hungry, but the choice is not like the cool five. The waiters are polite, some of the countries of the former CIS, mostly friendly. They also make guzleme in the morning, in the evening they roast meat on the street, well, nothing like that. The pools are ok, the sunbeds by the pool and on the beach are also good. I won’t say about children’s animation, there is volleyball, animation by the pool is rather weak, but few people need it and it’s not so important. There is ice cream, but it is very unobtrusive, it is difficult to find it, not in sight, and the ice cream man 15 minutes before the “lights out” can lie that it is over. The gym is average, but you can keep fit who knows the features of multifunctional simulators. Outside the gate, there is nowhere to go but the bazaar. Bazaar .. the taste and color .., everything is as usual - consumer goods of Turkish production. Go 1 time for 20 min. As a result, a hotel with insufficient efficiency of the air conditioning system and a very simple design of the rooms. Very tired. If it's cheap, you can play the lottery. If there is something with a good rating 10-15% more expensive, then there is a reason to consider something else.

It was clean, the food was delicious and the activities were nice. Although we chose a double bed room, the beds in the room were single, they helped to put the beds together in a short time.

The hotel is big and has good facilities. There are no queues for meals. It is 5 minutes away from the sea. The indoor and outdoor pools are sufficient. Bad aspects: The car seats used when going to the sea are wet and trap moisture. For this reason, there is a strong smell of pee-wee diapers. If you ride with normal clothes rather than a swimsuit, the clothes will be wet and smelly. Especially the towels given outside are of poor quality and stained. This is the first time in a hotel without a slide ( I saw a hotel with a wardrobe (without doors) and it seemed strange.
