A nice warm house. The room is very clean and warm, that is good because the weather is cold. The host cannot speak English but she is friendly, helpful.

Hotel is not accessible via car so host had to ferry our luggage into the old town using a small pick up. Room allocated to us was a family room which is on the second floor but service staff did not assist to carry luggage up despite us travelling with a baby and a 74 year old. Toilets have no doors which was a privacy issue for our family. The toilet on the second floor of the room was also filled with cobwebs. Water was also not refilled during house keeping.

Very good hotel. The room is clean and the decoration is nice. People were very nice and helpful even if they cannot speak English. They helped us with our luggage because it's in the old town and not accessible by taxi.

Host was never at the reception, no real cleaning of room we only got fresh towels. The bed was not made, the tea pots were not cleaned, no further water... Also there was a smell from the toilet that was disturbing, so we had to leave the windows open the whole time.

Good place for tourist to reside with their traditional lifestyle

Nice location in the old city, near Gui Shan. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, changes every day. Free sweet soup in the evening was a nice touch. The room was on two storeys which was cool, beds upstairs and TV/shower downstairs, quite convenient (but no wardrobe). Baidu map took us to the wrong location so be careful, but after a call to Ctrip the owner came to pick us up (also willing to take us to the main gate when we left). If you have suitcases best to call them for a pick up as the streets in the old city are bumpy. Nice terrace on the second floor, spent a lot of time sitting there looking out over Gui Shan and the city (some photos below). Overall a very nice experience.

I have an amazing time even with all communication with the hotel had to be done via WeChat for translation. I suspect the hotel and the surrounding were not damaged by the fire as it remains in ******* style. There were many places to take photo in the surrounding area. The place is well equipped and well maintained. The staffs were nice people and ready to serve. They even arranged pick up on the day I arrive at the old town entrance and airport transfer for me on the my departure.

We had nice experience at the hotel. Tibetian traditional styled hotel, with floor heating, nice balcony with a view, clean, friendly staff.

We were surprised by the beauty of Chang's mansion. The rooms were beautiful and the location superbly in the middle of old town. So many nice features: floor heating, electric blankets, beautiful view, good smell, lovely interior, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. We will definitely come back.

The room is antique and has a great atmosphere. The landlord is a *******, very hospitable, and will drive a tricycle to pick you up if your luggage is inconvenient. Breakfast is always milk, bread, and coffee, and alternately there are rice noodles, soy milk and fried dough sticks, and porridge rolls, which is good!

Although you can see that the decoration of the store is a bit old, because the furniture is all old, the older it is, the more flavor it has. The receptionist was a ******* girl Zhuoma. She said that she has been here since the store opened. The service attitude is impeccable. There is floor heating in the room, but no air conditioning. There is a small terrace where you can bask in the sun and drink tea. The overall area is not small, and the bathroom is also quite large. In general, it is worth experiencing this place for one night when you come to Shangri-La.

I stayed here for 3 nights in Yunnan for 7 days. This is my favorite homestay. As soon as I got off the high-speed rail, the boss arranged for someone to pick me up for free. When I arrived at the gate of the ancient city, he drove a car to deliver my luggage to the hotel. He was very enthusiastic. The boss's family is *******. The ******* style in the store is very strong. He also invited me to eat nuts and chat together, which was very warm. The boss upgraded the room for free. The room can directly see the scenery of the big prayer wheel and the Vajra Hall, and there is also an independent balcony, which is great. There is no need to worry about being cold or anything. The floor heating in the room works very well, and the bathroom is also very clean. The breakfast tastes very good, and it is all free. You can add it at any time if you can't finish it. One day when I was having breakfast, I saw a French family. I felt that the homestay was really hidden. Hahaha. This store is right in the center of the ancient city. There are delicious and fun things next to it. The location is very good, not far from the East Gate and the North Gate. I like this store very much. It is the best choice for Shangri-La again!

The owner of the B&B is very welcoming!!! I booked a room on the top floor based on the reviews and pictures. The view is very nice, there is also breakfast, and she enthusiastically helped to carry the suitcase upstairs and pick us up.

This inn is the most satisfying one in this trip to Shangri-La. First of all, the transportation is very convenient. It is only 100 meters away from the city gate, and it is also close to Sifang Street and Guishan Park. The hotel is a traditional ******* wooden house with very clean hygiene. You can see the prayer wheels on the rooftop. The road in the ancient city is not easy to walk. They will also pick us up at the gate of the ancient city and help with the luggage.
