We have gotten the suite, which comprised a king sized and queen sized beds. The room was spacious equipped with advanced tech such as xiaomi (akin to Siri/Google assistant) to control lighting and curtains. It’s a pity that the room comes with only one toilet and one bathing area though a jacuzzi is also available along the two connecting rooms. Room was clean and pillow was fluffy. Service was reasonable as we extended our stay. The hotel team helped to carry our luggage to the another room. Though the website did state complimentary transit services from hotel to station and vice versa, it was not offered to us. But during arrival, because our cab took us to the wrong hotel, they took effort to pick us from the wrong hotel to the right hotel. Of course, its pet dog is a magnet to customer. Overall, the stay was pleasant and I recommend to potential customers coming to ShangriLa.

Splendid! This is actually really great place to stay in! It's walking distance to the ancient town and surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies. The place is extremely clean and the oxygen spirit supply really helped in reducing our altitude sickness. The service level is top notch. The crew will add you to their WeChat group upon confirmation of booking and answer all your questions. In our case, they helped us to pre-order oxygen bags as we were afraid that we might need them. The owner even refunded the excess we paid when we downgraded our room on one of the three days we stayed. They will really do their best to help you. You won't regret staying here!

We stayed here after hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge and were happy to find a very clean and spacious room with reliable heating. The floors and room are heated and the hot water works well. The room also includes oxygen to make your stay comfortable. The property is quite big and also seems to be relatively new. It's well maintained. The location was great, it's about 5 minutes from the Ancient Town East Gate with plenty of grocery, convenience store, and restaurant options around. The Big Buddha temple is a short 5 minute walk away. The staff are really helpful. They created a wechat group for us with all their staff so they could help us with any requests or information immediately. They helped us arrange a driver for a day trip. We didn't get to try the breakfast or restaurant during our stay here.

Loved the stay! Experienced high altitude sickness during my trip at Shangrila, had to stay in the room to get recovered. Hotel provides low concentration oxygen pump and helped me a lot through it! Breakfast was good too

Stayed here for 3 nights with 3 rooms booked. They generously given upgraded for all rooms during this low-peak season. Guesthouse is located in a busy main road and short walking distance into ancient town. Staffs were helpful & friendy. There are some minor issues within the rooms, but they were quick enough to resolve it. All rooms was clean and spacious for 2. The room supplied oxygen all the day and heating floor is another plus. Breakfast was the same during our stay.

The staffs are friendly and helpful. The Dog, Luna, is cutest. Room is warm and nicely decorated. Fruit platter is a surprise Suggestions: 1. the clothes hanger are fixed too high 2. To install towel rail or robe hook. There is no place to hang towels or clothes.

The staff at this home stay is some of the most exceptional and professional I’ve encountered in all my years of travel around the world (special shout-out to 小宋！）We were booked for 2 nights and our group of 3 was generously given an upgraded room. From the moment we checked in, 小宋 and his team were eager to assist with questions, recommendations and helping to arrange and set up itineraries for our stay. Sadly, on my second day, I became severely sick with altitude sickness and 小宋 came to my assistance immediately- checking my oxygen levels and setting me up to the oxygen machine in the room. He handled the entire situation with such kindness, compassion, composure and professionalism that I’m still blown away. He helped my family members find medicine for me and offered his advise and guidance while making them feel assured at what should’ve been quite a scary situation. When we decided it was best to leave Shangri la as soon as possible for lower elevations in Lijiang, 小宋 sprang into action to find us a carpool that was leaving within the hour and also took the initiative to help make sure we were refunded for our second night booked on a third party site. I can’t thank him enough and I will 100% recommend this hotel and this team to everyone I know that’s traveling to Yunnan. I truly hope to be able to return myself under better conditions. Even more so, the hotel also happens to be incredibly designed and beautiful with smart tech features in the rooms. When I booked, I thought it was a cool feature that they have oxygen machines inside each room, but who would’ve known that it would prove to be a lifesaver for me 😅
