As an American business traveler, this is probably the best hotel that I’ve stayed at in Shaoxing. I’ve stayed here repeatedly over the past 5 years or so. The hotel staff is friendly and can accommodate most of your needs if you are new to China or the city. They also have one of the best dinner buffets that is affordable with a wide variety of cuisines and all you can drink beer.

The second time I came to Shaoxing, I found this castle. Although it is in the suburbs, the photos look very good. Unfortunately, it rained during the few days I came, so I didn't have any outdoor activities. I just walked around and the air was very good. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and the service was in place. The entire building, furniture, and bedding were very high-end. I saw some bars and restaurants, and I felt that I would have a lot of fun in the summer. The food and beverages were also good. I will come again next time.

One of the servers (Faith Dai) during breakfast was very attentive. She sat us at nice table in the corner and got us each a latte before we went to the breakfast buffet. She even offered get us a portion of fruit to go. Overall, it was pleasant stay at clean hotel in a cute little city.

Got there around CNY eve, so things were a bit on the quiet side. Parking was a bit chaotic at first with cars parked all along the entrance, it was not clear where to park until I went inside and asked. Check in was quick and to my pleasent surprise the checkin agent Gary spoke English very well. He was extemely helpful and and accomodating. He even explained that breakfast would be included because of CNY. The hotel was very clean, room was clean. The hotel is at a very good location, central to many important areas in Shaoxing. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Check out was simple and the overnight parking fee was taken care by the hotel. Overall, the hotel has the quality, look and feel that you would expect from a Holiday Inn brand hotel. Would definitely recommend and will rebook in the future. Many families with kids too. Please note if traveling around CNY, certain restaurants etc may be closed for the holiday.

I have been to Shaoxing several times and always stayed at Shaoxing Hotel. I feel that the environment here is so good. I just stayed in the Jiangnan Garden. This time the room was in Fushanyin. I heard that it was newly built in 2021 and the facilities are very good. Very new, very clean, the house is very spacious, just open the curtains and face a wall of Fushan 😅 Fushanyin is diagonally opposite the lobby. There is a guy driving a battery car to pick you up and drop you off, or you can go by yourself. Not far. The breakfast is very rich. I am here in the past few days to catch up with the National People's Congress meeting in the city. There are many people at 7 or 8 o'clock, and they are all representatives with small signs on their chests. At other times, there are not many people in the restaurant. It is probably the off-season for tourism. Fan Wenlan’s former residence is in the hotel, but it was not open when I went there. I hope I can visit it next time~

We arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock and were immediately given a room. The waiter helped us carry the luggage to the room, which was great. There are many small buildings, and the whole hotel is like a park. The green garden is very good, with birds singing and flowers blooming. The air is very good, with an artificial lake and a white sand beach, a farm, a large lawn, and a canopy. There is a small hill on the hiking trail, and there are some views along the way. We walked the Shangqing Ancient Road the next day and came back to rest for another night. The food is cheap and good, highly recommended, the breakfast is also very good, and there is 24-hour delivery. The downside is the air conditioning. Because the room was stuffy, I turned on the air conditioner for cooling (only cooling and heating), set it to 18, and the indoor temperature was 25, but it was getting hotter and hotter, reaching 28. I called the hotel and they responded that there was no air conditioning and it was under maintenance. They said they could provide fans, but there was clearly a hot air conditioner (I didn't operate it myself, it was just unified heating), so I had to turn it off. The coffee bags were not available one day and they were not replenished. I asked the cleaner why they didn't put 2 bottles of mineral water every day. The answer was that they only put one bottle every day and I could call the front desk if I needed it. Is mineral water expensive? Is this the standard for a five-star hotel? Speechless! 6. Nearly 20 friends drank tea in the lobby bar. A lady who didn't drink tea wanted a glass of boiled water. The waiter said that boiled water would be charged, and the fee was the same as tea. Is this hotel a waste of money? Speechless again! I was really disappointed when I chose Xianheng Hotel when I returned to Shaoxing this time. It is not a little bit worse than Shaoxing Hotel and Shimao Crown Holiday Hotel. I have always been accustomed to giving good reviews, but this time I have to tell the truth based on facts.

A very satisfying stay. The bellboy at the door took us to the front desk to check in. The front desk receptionist also patiently explained the room facilities, breakfast and sauna locations. There is dust flying all day long on both sides, the smell is unpleasant, and the sound of electric drills is piercing. You must pass Building 8 every day when entering and exiting.
